Red's charismatic swagger elicited lustful stares from nearby women and even some parents. Issei couldn't help but find the situation both amusing and embarrassing as he observed their reactions.
'Is this normal? All the older females in here seem to be eyeing me up,' Red laughed, sharing his observations telepathically.
'I'm not entirely sure. I receive similar attention. Perhaps it's the innate allure that dragons possess. I assumed you would have more knowledge about it than I do,' Issei replied through their telepathic connection.
'As if I know how this stuff works. I haven't set foot on Earth in thousands of years. Although, I guess that explains why you have so many females trailing after you. Are you trying to repopulate the dragon race now? Attaboy!' Red chuckled.
"So, TELL ME, SENSEI! IS ISSEI THE BEST STUDENT IN THIS SCHOOL?! I EXPECT NOTHING LESS FROM ANY SON OF MINE!" Red's booming voice echoed across the room, ensuring that everyone within earshot could hear.
His sensei nodded slowly, "I believe he is currently the top student among the second-year class. His academic performance is exceptional, although he didn't achieve a perfect score in math, unlike his other subjects. However, he received an impressive 98 in physics."
"98?! Out of 100?!" Red responded, his tone serious.
"Y-yes... It was a remarkable achievement, considering it's the highest score in-" the woman's sentence was cut short as Red vigorously shook his head.
"ISSEI! YOU DON'T HAVE A PERFECT SCORE IN PHYSICS?! What happened?!" Red demanded, feigning an almost comical hysteria.
"I... I was distracted that day," Issei admitted.
"You could fail history or biology, and I wouldn't care... but physics?! WHY?!" Red continued, his voice filled with exaggerated concern.
'How does he know which classes I'm taking?' Issei wondered momentarily.
"H-he's not failing, sir. His grades are the highest in his year at the moment," the woman attempted to reassure Red.
Gripping Issei's teacher by the shoulders, the dragon stared at her intently. "Tell me what happened! Why is he failing in physics?! I personally tutored him in that subject! THIS SCHOOL SYSTEM IS FAILING MY SON!"
The woman blushed deeply from Red's physical contact and spoke slowly, "H-he scored 100 on all the exams, but he forgot to submit a homework assignment. I-I can provide him with an extra credit assignment if you'd like."
Red immediately regained his composure, nodding approvingly. "If you would do that for him, I would greatly appreciate it."
"A-anything you want..." the woman responded, her words laced with obvious innuendo.
'Smooth move, big brother,' Issei laughed telepathically.
'No one under my tutelage is going to have anything less than a perfect grade in physics. It's crucial for maximizing speed, momentum, and aerodynamic badassery!' Red replied.
Unaware of Issei's teacher's lingering desire and her shy expression, Red moved on without a second thought. Issei swiftly followed him, waiting until they were at a reasonable distance from others before speaking. "So, why did you want to come here tonight, Red?"
"To amplify your hype even more," Red laughed.
"You've already revealed your name to my teacher. Are you planning to expose yourself to everyone else? The devils aren't foolish, you know," Issei stated with a serious tone.
Red chuckled in response, "Who cares? I'm just here for the amusement of it all."
"Be cautious with your words around them. They have a knack for remembering every little detail I mention," Issei advised.
"Don't worry, Issei. I'll handle any inquiries they might have. In fact, I'm here to support your cover story," Red reassured him calmly.
Before their private conversation could continue, several individuals approached them once again.
"Issei-chan, is this your father?!" Serafall exclaimed with amazement, running up to Red with a gleeful expression.
"I am indeed Issei's real dad!" Red unnecessarily declared, scanning the surrounding devils and onlookers. Among them were Sona, Rias, and their entire peerages. Issei's own friends were also present. Sirzechs and Grayfia stood a bit farther back but seemed intrigued by the situation. On the opposite side of the room, Rias' and Sona's parents observed the scene from a distant corner, their expressions filled with bewilderment.
"Who exactly are you? I've never seen you before, and I'm quite familiar with the prominent dragons," Tiamat inquired, her gaze filled with fascination.
"Red is the name I go by. You may address me as such if you wish!" Red replied.
Tiamat looked at him curiously, "So, you're Issei's dragon parent? Your power must be immense, considering how strong he is. But why have I never heard of you before?"
"Who knows? I live my life separate from other beings. It's not surprising that our paths haven't crossed," he answered.
Vali observed Red with intrigue, "What kind of dragon are you?"
"The badass kind!" Red responded, crossing his arms confidently.
"So, if you claim not to be married, how did you end up having Issei? Did you have a romantic involvement with his mother or something?" Vali inquired curiously.
Red shook his head, "No, not exactly. I created Issei using my own essence and a fraction of my power. I bestowed these gifts upon an unborn human child, who would eventually grow up to be my son. I specifically chose Issei's human parents because his father descends from a heroic bloodline. Thus, he is technically my son, both biologically and spiritually."
'Are you just making this up, Red? Or is it true?' Issei couldn't help but ask.
"Technically, it's true. However, I only discovered it when I enhanced your abilities a few years ago. You were born with the Longinus Boosted Gear because you are a descendant of a heroic bloodline. It's not entirely random with humans, contrary to popular belief. Those with hero blood have a significantly higher chance of manifesting a sacred gear," Red revealed to Issei.
"That's intriguing. I had no idea," Issei thought, his interest piqued by this newfound knowledge.
