9 The War On Three Fronts 1/?

<Siberia, Russia, 3 days later, Oni Foot Soldier POV>

For three days we have sat on the large outer wall of the fortress, for three days, Aria has pestered us to keep an eye for her 'Predator' son and to be wary because he will kill us while we sleep. The lagend of this kid is ridiculous, and the higher-up's fear of him is even unrealistic.

He is a simple child, sure we couldn't assassinate him while he was younger but that doesn't mean he is some God-like figure, I mean our Queen sold herself off to the Greeks in order to make sure we can win this, the Demi-Gods arrived here yesterday.

One from the Achilles line, one from the line of Ajax the greater as well as Athena's chosen and Zesus' 9 millionth son. The Achillies champion is the only one who looks better than our elite guard, he took four of the queen's bodyguards in practice today as well as beating Aria into a stalemate.

"You there, foot soldier."

"Yes my lord."

The queen has demanded we treat them like Nobles, I and many in my unit found this rather distasteful for the other three, but the man in front of me is worthy of the title.

"Tell me again the Legend of the 'Predator'"

So he wants me to recite the same shit again.

"I would rather not my lord, I find the Legend rather appalling, he is but a young boy, unlikely to beat one as strong as yourself."

The man laughed,

"The founder of my line thought the same about himself, thought himself a god of war like Ares, I will not fall to my pride as he did. So tell me again."

*Sigh*

"I will give you as run down my lord, there are really two tales linked to the being known as the 'Predator' one from a thousand years ago and one that was formed rather recently with the emergence of the 'Scorned Prince'"[

The Greek nodded and gestured for me to continue,

"The first legend said that a prince would be born to our race, he would bond with a Human boy before he conquered the world, bringing the supernatural world to its knees, the Greeks included. This tale also speaks of the 'Predator', the predator in this tale is the brother of the promised prince, jealous of his brother's power, the Predator sold his soul to a Fallen God, gaining the God's powers he slaughtered our race until the Price rose up and slew him."

The second, more recent version is more brutal.

"The second tale is based in reality, Aria, the Queen's chosen, who you duelled this morning, gave birth to two sons, her first son was set to be her hire, to serve the queen when his mother died. For 10 years he was raised with our resources and time, and he was given knowledge of our people. Everything was going well until the day before he was due to gain his Oni, the second prince of our royal family, he found his mother about to kill a 6-year-old girl"

He scowled at me, does he not know?

"Don't look at me like that, it is a matter of survival for both us and our host Humans, it all comes down to survival. He didn't like what was happening and tried to stop his mother only to be nearly killed by the Oni controlling her, then from nowhere, he gained God-like strength, beating his mother into wall ferociously, beating her Oni into a deep sleep."

"Are you sure this kid isn't a Demi-God of some kind? Sudden strength gain, a skilled warrior, it suits the MO."

I shake my head, "No my lord, he isn't, his father is a normal human while his mother is one of us. After the beat his mother into a near-death state, we sent 4 highly trained assassins to kill him, all with his mother's consent, he killed each of them in a gruesome way, getting worse with each kill. In the first one, he decapitated and left the body in his mother's shrine while the head was put on a spike outside it, the second one had its eyes ripped out and tongue missing, we only found its head, the third one we found a single arm and the final one? We never found him, then out of nowhere he vanished, some say to study with a god, others say to hunt us, he only publically returned a few weeks back.."

The Greek looked at me, "He just vanished?"

I nid my head, "He and his mother went on a plane journey, she was meant to kill him on it however the plane crashed and he simply vanished, his body wasn't discovered at the crash site, some thought he may have died, unfortunately, we aren't that lucky and it appears he will come for us, we created a monster."

The greek smiled, "That you did, that you did."

Aria's voice cut our conversations short, "Two people in the distance wearing an unknown type of armour, one carrying a large gun of some kind, the other carrying two daggers, all troops are to report to the wall, the Predator has arrived."

Looking down at the crystal that transmitted her voice, I gulped, "It seems like it is time, at least there are only two people, it can't be that hard right?"
