12 Take My Bed

Haruto returned to his penthouse. His house was quiet and dark as night had fallen. He walked into his room and collapsed on his bed. Letting out a sigh Haruto started to recall today's events. It seemed like a roller coaster as he had a wonderful morning followed by a wild evening. He couldn't help but think back to Akenos face when he did that to her friends. He didnt fell bad because they agreed and he held back as it is, but just Akenos face was enough to spoil the evening.

Haruto was lost in his thoughts when he was interrupted by a knock on his door. Maybe it was Mei coming back to visit him and he put a smile on his face. Haruto pulled open the door and before him stood a girl in a purple dress with long dark hair she was looking down avoiding his eyes. Haruto immediately guessed it was Akeno. "I've come according to earlier deal." she began speaking with out looking up "I haven't officially left Rias peerage but we can complete that later this week for now I've brought some stuff to stay here." Haruto looked down to see a small brown luggage bag in her hands and his earlier smile faded into one of sadness.

Forcing someone like this seemed just as horrible as dragging one from their family. Haruto would never do that. He pulled his hand to her chin and lifted her face. Haruto stared at her eyes and saw that they were slightly swollen from crying probably saying goodbye to her friends. Haruto let out a sad sigh before saying "Akeno, I would never force you to stay with me if you truly didnt want to." he placed a hand on her shoulder "Go home to your friends."

Akenos eyes widened in surprise as she couldn't believe what she heard. After all that work he did and the duel he decided to let her go that easy. Maybe he was still that kind man she met all those years ago and not the cold man she saw a few hours ago. Akeno was so happy she jumped into his chest and wrapped around him tightly. "Thank you so much.. Haruto." she paused after thanking him as she remembered his name. Haruto just wrapped one arm around her to reciprocate her hug. After a few moments they parted and Akenos eyes met with his. They both paused staring into each others eyes. Haruto slowly started to lean forward and Akeno tip toed up a bit before shutting her eyes.

Haruto flicked Akenos forehead. Akeno placed her heels down and put both her hands across her head. "Hey what was that for" she pouted looking at Haruto as she lifted her hands to reveal a small red mark. Haruto laughed "That's for smacking me earlier. That was your punishment so be glad I didnt give you a spanking for acting like that!" He said wagging a finger at her. Akeno pressed her lips together and turned her face. Haruto chuckled some more.

Akeno turned to look at Haruto again when she felt a soft sensation on her forehead. This feeling was cool yet warm and she was suddenly kissed by Haruto on the mark he left her. Akeno blushed as she was kissed by him. "There all better." Akeno stood with rosey red cheeks and Haruto said "Go on, head home before your friends think I'm doing inappropriate things to you." Haruto started to turn her around. Akeno started to walk away with Haruto about to shut the door. Before he did he heard Akeno shout "I'll be back to visit you okay, I wont leave you alone again." before she dashed down the hall way.

Haruto just smiled at her words before shutting the door completely. "So are you done eavesdropping." A figure appeared in his living room. Haruto walked to the figure and saw the figure with crossed arms slightly turned body. Haruto smiled and said "Mei nice go see you again."

Mei stood with puffed cheeks and turned her head "I leave for a day and you have other girls knocking on your door. Here I thought we were getting somewhere." Haruto laughed "Who Akeno, no not yet she's still in highschool I'll wait till she graduates." Mei releasd her pout expression and smiled saying "So she's to young. I'm the perfect age for you." Haruto looked at her "No you're to old." Meis face flashed with anger "Hey I'm a year younger than you!" Haruto laughed and replied "I like them young you know." Haruto was teasing Mei suddenly he felt a pair of arms around him.

Haruto was glad but asked "What's this for" as he put his arms around Mei. Mei answered "When you were here earlier you had a sad look on your face and I figured I'd give you a hug to make you feel better." Haruto felt happy until he realized something "Wait how long have you been here then? Did you sneak in earlier?" as he pulled her away from him. Mei said "About 5 minutes, why what have you heard?" She looked around avoiding his gaze acting completely guilty when Haruto laughed at her antics.

Mei smiled watching him laugh when she asked "Haruto, is it okay if umm" she started as she wrapped her hands together and looked at his feet "sleep here again tonight" Haruto watched as she acted like a shy child trying to get something from an adult. He smiled and answered "Sure you can take my bed again."

Mei looked up at Haruto with her big blue eyes and said "Would you sleep in the same bed as me.."
