Upheaval II

She is right; I don't want to be her enemy, but I need chaos points and these guys are valuable. Also, they provoked me first, I apologised and they still came after me with the intention of killing me. That Tsukiyomi bastard did kill me a few times in fact. 

I brushed her hands aside, but she still hugged me tightly against her chest.

"What are you-"

"I know you're upset, it is because she is missing, right?"

"..."

A pile of debris amidst police sirens was not in the right moment, time or place... but she still caressed my hair and warmed up to the point I felt peace reign over me. The wounds she inflicted on me were already healed, but I could tell right now she was trying to heal me.

If that wasn't enough, Yasaka joined from behind and I was engulfed in softness. 

"Yasaka-"

"Ray-sama, please quel your ire. It is enough, there has been enough destruction and loss, please let's take a moment to rethink our position, could you do that for me, your little pet?"

Her tails entangled my limbs, they imprisoned me.

If she asked me like that, there was very little I could do except meltdown in their arms, but still, the frustrations rose. I felt the energy being taken away, the bodies were being moved to Takamagahara, it was my only chance to make so many points at once and perhaps rank up one time.

"It was an accident for all parts involved. Let's solve this properly with diplomacy and make sure neither part holds an enmity. If compensation is needed, we can arrange it. If apologies are to be exchanged, we can arrange it".

Amaterasu held me with her eyes firmly fixed on mine, analysing them. 

"Such beautiful eyes you have obtained, don't taint them. Ray, if you and I have an irreconcilable enmity, we can't get married".

"Eh?"

"A-Amaterasu-sama...?"

Both Yasaka and I were equally confused, was this what she intended all along?

"Making you into my consort was my plan from the start, but things went downhill very quickly because of this accident. I concealed Yasaka's situation, I concealed the threat you and Elysir posed to the pantheon... I concealed everything for your sake. Brat, the least you can do is marry me!".

Initially, she looked all haughty during the massage but it turns out she already had made up her mind. Marriage... Elysir told me that for beings like us marriage was something trivial and that I may have to end up marrying a few goddesses for the sake of diplomacy, but...

"I can't right now" I sighed, I don't have the right mindset for that.

"Does that mean you decline?" She pressed with a squinted eyebrow.

"No, I don't mind marrying you or Yasaka or any of the girls I like. But right now I have a different objective" I pushed the two of them away, I don't want to get distracted.

"What is your current objective? Tell me and we can work on it together".

Even when I tried to release them, these two vixens still kept hugging me as if they thought I was going to rush and kill Tsukiyomi and Susanoo the moment I left an opening. 

"Oi..."

"What is your current objective?" Amaterasu pressed herself on me, for some reason she thought pressing her big breasts against my face was somehow intimidating. It still compelled me to answer though.

"Ugh, I want to become stronger. Very well, you win. I will let those two go but for now just come with me to the heavens so we can talk properly".

"Wait a moment, you do promise to come to me to Takamagahara for a formal meeting after, right?" Amaterasu pinched my cheeks. I rolled my eyes and nodded.

"I promise".

"Very well, then I'm going with you~"

Finaly she separated from me. She did, but Yasaka didn't. Instead, the vixen whispered something in my ears.

"Ray-sama, we must talk about your rather dull self-preservation instincts. Even if you are immortal in many ways, I hope you refrain from nearly giving me a heart attack every time you fight, okay?~"

She wasn't happy even if she was smiling, is it because Tsukiyomi killed me a couple of times? I couldn't help it. I was stronger but he was more experienced.

"I-I will keep that in mind".

"That doesn't sound very convincing" Amaterasu chipped in with crossed arms beneath her bountiful chest.

"I will be more careful..."

"That's better~"

Using the moonlight mist I took them to the heavens where Tsunade, Kuroka and Hasshaku-sama were; It was the seventh heaven which was supposed to be my 'property'. 

"This time due to this incident the line between the supernatural world and the human world has worn thin, usually when those incidents happen a Limbo Domain must be cast. You were young and inexperienced, Ray... but Susanoo and Tsukiyomi - two big and old gods- were brash and irresponsible. It is going to take a long time to clean this mess and give a proper explanation to the public"

Amaterasu explained to me, as we crossed to the other side of the mist, we were received by what appeared to be a house, except that... this house looked exactly like the one me and mom owned. 

"This is...?"

Gabriel and Michael manifested before me, kneeling down... then from inside the house the girls popped up as well, they saw me, they saw I was uninjured, they sighed in relief. 

"Lord Ray, since you lost your home, we thought you may be more comfortable in the seventh heaven like this, so we had this prepared for you" Michael proclaimed.

"Thank you, Michael. It does indeed feel cosy here"

It was beautiful, not only was it the house we always knew and loved, but now it was in the middle of the skies with my eclipse in the background amidst the clouds. If Ely and Mom saw this, I wonder how she'd feel. 

"Ray, I'm still sorry about what happened" Tsunade approached me rather awkwardly but instead I gave her a hug.

Not only it wasn't her fault but I even felt bad because all the scrolls she had filled up with medical information were now lost.

"Let me join -nya!"

Kuroka jumped on me, "You can't be fighting by yourself like that -nya!"

"She's right master, why do you have us if you're going to be doing everything by yourself?" Hasshaku-sama tapped her finger on her elbows.

"You should rely on us more, my lord" Gabriel added her bit, fidgeting. 

I sighed and took them all into the house, telling them that it wasn't that I didn't rely on them, it was that I was so pissed off... I wanted to vent and Tsukyomi and Susanoo happened to come in handily. 

Once inside the house, there has always been a mirror on the right-hand side after entering the door. There, I realised why everyone had been paying so much attention to my eyes.

My eyes were golden but there was a circle and inside this circle, a five-point star in each eye.

"Oh, of course... you can't see your own eyes, master. Aren't they beautiful?"

Yasaka hugged me from behind as we watched each of our reflections in the mirror. Her eyes turned mellow and she turned my head towards her before kissing me. 

It wasn't intense. More like tender and calm, it felt like how mom would usually kiss me.

"You defeating Tsukiyomi-sama makes me feel very vindicated, Ray-sama. He has been courting and pestering me ever since my previous mate died, he wouldn't give it a rest"

"I think I put a good stop to it" I caressed her sacred cheeks and she answered by pressing my ones into kissing her again.

"It feels like it~"

Just spending time with her like this soothed me, but we may not be able to do this for a while, I have already made up my mind. While we walked into the main bedroom I recalled something very important.

"By the way Yasaka".

"Hmn?~"

"Where is Kunou-chan?"

"She is in Takamagahara, in Amaterasu-sama's chambers".

"Lately, I have the impression as if you're trying to keep Kunou-chan away from me" I pried and felt her stop abruptly, never releasing that beautiful smile of hers.

"H-Hehehe, Ray-sama that's impossible!"

"Why are you laughing...?"

"Mou, no reason in particular! During the earlier periods of her growth, it is better that Kunou-chan nurtures herself with the abundant divine energy of Takamagahara just like I did. That's it~"

It sounded like a genuine reason but still, there was something suspicious around her, the way her energy was waving and her tails too, as if she was looking forward to something.

"You're not lying to me, are you?"

"Of course not, I would never lie to my beloved master~"

"You're not leaving important bits of it out, are you?"

"Ray-sama, instead of that we should be addressing your reckless way of fighting, don't you think?"

She may be a kitsune and my loyal pet but she's still a woman and she has to have her way in the conversation no matter what.

"Don't change the subject!"
