Chapter 15 - Okita's Defense Against Kokoness Gets Tested

Author Note: Haven't read through this yet, maybe later.

After sitting for a while Okita eventually heard something approaching from the distance, glancing up at the dragon not reacting at all Okita shrugged and stayed in his seat. As it came closer the roar of a monstrous engine made itself known, getting louder and louder before an abomination of a motorcycle came sailing over the wall with Koko laughing on top of it.

Touching down onto the ground, the surroundings shook slightly from it's weight as Koko drove towards the outdoors area. Quickly approaching, a ramp materialized in front of the bike when she was close enough and she went flying again.

While she was in the air the bike disappeared in pixels as Koko flipped and rolled to reorient herself eventually landing on top of Beo's head and straightened herself as she threw her arms out while making jazz hands.

"Tada~!"

Watching the scene with a blank face Okita saw the dragon pick up a large metal plate with it's tail and carving a big '10' on it before holding it up as it looked over at him threateningly. Looking at Koko's expectant face and the dragon glaring at him Okita sighed as he went and picked up a nearby metal plate as his sword flashed out, a '10' appearing on it before he summoned a Youkai to hold it above him as he clapped.

"Nice landing Koko."

"I know, right!?" Koko said happily while she patted the dragon on the head for a bit before jumping down to the ground next to him. Giving her a closer look now that she was standing next to him he noticed that her presence had gotten alot more vibrant, reminding him of a few of the Touki masters he had met before that were bursting with vitality, her body had also filled out some more and grown in height.

Having to now slightly look up while speaking with her, he raised an eyebrow in curiosity as she fetched a holy grail and sat down.

"Did you... grow, Koko?"

"Mhmm." Koko simply nodded while popping the cap and taking a sip while idly running a hand through her hair.

"... I see." Okita sat back down into his chair while continuing to act as if growing that much in both presence and physical body that quickly was normal.

"By the way Century Geezer, I'm gonna be in and out of the city for a bit the next few months." Koko suddenly said while she had somehow gotten upside down in her chair, juggling a piece of junk using her feet.

"Hmm? Is there any specific reasons?" Okita hummed as he turned his head to look over at her, a bit curious about what would make her leave her scrapyard.

"Yeah, I'm booored. There were barely any stray devils around here before but ever since the devil princesses moved in they get hunted as soon as they appear, I don't have anything to fight anymore. I wanna fight!" Koko whined childishly as a pout of dissatisfaction made it's way onto her face while she crossed her arms, still upside down.

Okita hummed in thought as he rubbed his chin, he had to admit that he was a bit curious about how strong Koko was in a fight. The sense of danger and ferocity she had when they first met had only gotten stronger with time and had a sharp increase with her sudden growth spurt. If he was unsure about his chances at defeating her a few days ago, he was now sure that he would lose.

However, his curiosity got the better of him in the end as he spoke up while putting a hand on the hilt of his sword.

"Would you like to have a spar against me Koko? I'm pretty strong you know."

Okita was slightly regretting his decison as Koko's momentum suddenly exploded, flaring like a beacon around her as the surroundings were pushed back slightly and the wind started lashing out at the nearby scrap piles and the ground. Her eyes snapped open and locked onto him with beast like intensity, the beginning of a smile appearing on her face.

"Yes! Let's go now!" Koko quickly pushed off the chair and landed on the ground before practically teleporting over to him, grabbed his arm with an immensely strong grip and started running towards a scrap pile. As Okita was flailing through the air behind an excited Koko he slightly prodded her grip before resigning himself to ragdolling towards their destination as he didn't think he could break out of her grip unless he summoned his Youkai.

As he was pretty much just along for the ride now, Okita took the opportunity to look at what Koko had built under her scrapyard. The corridor she was running down was made entirely out of mismatched metal with pipes running through it's length sometimes disappearing into the walls before appearing again a few moments later. It also had a few valves occasionally popping up while the corridor was lit up by the occasional lantern.

A few minutes later after Koko had switched directions a few dozen times they arrived before massive metallic rust brown double doors with various mechanisms seemingly running through and around it's surface. Finally slowing down, Koko let go of his arm while walking up to it and started turning a valve on one of the doors making a few of the visible cogwheels quickly follow. After hearing a series of clicks, she walked to the other door while an electric purple aura appeared on her finger as she traced some pattern on a square of pure black material.

Taking a few steps back after she was done, the sound of mechanical clicking came from the doors for a few seconds before they started opening.

"Come on!" Koko excitedly ushered him inside before apparently deciding that he was too slow and picked him up as she ran inside while closing the doors behind her as she put him down beside her. Okita rubbed the bridge of his nose as he slightly looked up at Koko.

"Koko are you really this excited to fight me, or are you just that bored?"

"Both!" Koko shouted with a smile and gave him a thumbs up as Okita sighed slightly before looking at the massive room he couldn't see the end of covered in white tiles. Raising an eyebrow he looked up at her again and asked a question.

"Koko is this room expanded using space magic or is it a separate dimension entirely? A room this size wouldn't be go undetected for long."

"Dunno." Koko shrugged.

"How can you not know?" Letting out an exasperated sigh, Okita continued asking.

"Don't care."

"But wasn't it you who built it?"

"Dunno, don't care."
