17 Chapter 17 - Weapon Summoning and "Them"

Several months have passed since I along with Scathach-sama and Sakuya-san left Governor Azazel's laboratory for my training.
In the first few days of my training, Scathach-sama suggested that I immediately consider to have an exclusive and durable personal weapon. Apart from that, Sakuya-san also suggested that if I wanted to have a personal weapon, it would be nice if that weapon could change shape according to need and situation.
Because of their suggestion, I considered obtaining weapon through summoning. But, the problem is that I don't know of any weapons that could shapeshifting and durable. So, I can only try.
But, even though it has been three times in three months trying to make a summon with Balance Breaker: Cross Overtake Summoning, the result is nil. So, for the fourth try I intend to try out the summoning using Balance Breaker: Infinite Parallel Overwrite Summoning although I also doubt it will succeed.

Since Governor Azazel is not here, the ones who creates a barrier to hide the activity from the summoning this time is Scathach-sama using her Rune Magic assisted by Sakuya-san with her Time Manipulation Ability. The three previous attempts to summon weapons were the same.
After everything was ready, I started doing the summoning procedure.
I activated my Sacred Gear, [Serene Summoning], and a golden staff with a crystal on the tip appeared in the grip of my right hand. Next, I took out the [Infinity Star Flame] and before long a purple-black ouroboros appeared and then floated circulating in my left palm.
After the two of them appeared, I brought the fire ouroboros in my left hand closer to the golden staff of my Sacred Gear. The fire ouroboros then moved around the golden staff and circulated to form a symbol of infinity.
After that, I closed my eyes and in my heart I wished to summon a weapon that can change its form. With that hope, I then opened my eyes and began to chant:

After the chanting finished, I tapped the golden staff onto the floor and shouted!
"Infinite Parallel Overwrite Summoning!"
Then, with myself at the center, a geometric purple-black circle of fire appeared. However, the circle was only about a meter radius. And seeing that, I let out a sigh.
"Haah~...."
I sighed because it seemed like the summoning attempt this time also failed.
That was because, if the summoning was successful, normally the summoning circle would widen to at least a five meter radius. But the summoning circle this time was only one meter radius and the previous three attempts were the same.
".... Failed again, huh...."
Scathach-sama shake her head slightly.

Sakuya-san also shook her head in regret and disappointment.
