10 Chapter 10 - Family and 2nd Summoning

A year passed....
I, Rey, am currently still in Governor Azazel's private laboratory.... And currently, I am lying limp on the training ground there.
Why am I lying limp? The answer is because I just finished hell training today!
During this year, Scathach-sama has been driving me all out. The first six months, I was tempered to strengthen my physique. And the next six months, I was required to master the basics of martial arts and spear skills.
Moreover, from the start Scathach-sama had been informed about the super regeneration of [Infinity Star Flame]. As a result, every day I have to experience wounded or injured, even if it's not that severe.
It was true that Scathach-sama said from the start that she wouldn't hold back from training me, but I didn't expect it to be this bad! And this is still a third of my 3 years training plan! If it weren't for I always convinced myself that it was all for my own good and that I had to be strong and never give up, maybe I wouldn't have survived even the first week.
Luckily my persistence in training is paid off. Now, my physique has become much stronger and I have at least some martial skills. Especially with the Infinity Star Flame within me which is perpetually active in circulation to enlarge my power and energy capacity, every day I get stronger!
"Haahh.... Haahh.... Haahh...."
I was gasping for breath, feeling the fatigue creeping through my body.
Then, I saw Scathach-sama walking towards me.
".... Rey, it's time for you to learn fighting techniques. We'll be leaving for the next two years."
I was shocked at Scathach-sama's sudden decision!
"Leave? You mean leave this place?"
".... Yes."
"Ehh.... Then where are we going to live? And what about eating or drinking later?"
".... I don't need to eat."
"But what about me? I'm not a goddess like you, Scathach-sama...."
".... None of my business.... Aren't you can summon someone with your ability? Just summon someone who can take care of you."
"...."
I was dumbfounded by the attitude of Scathach-sama who coldly ignore my needs. And she easily told me to just summon someone who will take care of my daily needs.... I felt like crying. It's not easy to use that Balance Breaker, oh my goddess....
I even had to lie unconscious for a week after summoning Scathach-sama a year ago because I spent so much energy using my Sacred Gear's Balance Breaker. If it weren't for the Infinity Star Flame helping to recover my energy more quickly, I might not have regained consciousness months or even years later from summoning someone of a god level like Scathach-sama!
Currently, my Sacred Gear, Serene Summoning's Balance Breaker is divided into two, namely: Cross Overtake Summoning and Infinite Parallel Overwrite Summoning.
Cross Overtake Summoning is the Balance Breaker I use to summon the Three Thousand Star Burning Flame. This Balance Breaker only allows summoning unintelligent beings/objects from other worlds. This Balance Breaker can only be used once a month. This Balance Breaker is classified as a sub-species.
Meanwhile, Infinite Parallel Overwrite Summoning is the Balance Breaker I use to summon Scathach-sama. This Balance Breaker makes it possible to summon intelligent beings/objects from other worlds. This Balance Breaker can only be used once every 3-4 months. This Balance Breaker was actually the use of the Cross Overtake Summoning Balance Breaker but it was added and strengthened by the [Infinity Star Flame] causing the procedure, effect, and result to be different. This Balance Breaker is classified as Balance Breaker X.
"... I don't care how you're going to meet your needs.... I don't mind you considering me as your family, Rey. I understand you need that. But you also have to remember that I am here to train you, not spoil you."
Scathach-sama said sternly to me and I could only silent in contemplation.
Family, huh....

The next day....
Last night, I was pondering on Scathach-sama's words.
It's true that ever since I lost Mother, I feel quite lonely. And I do think of Scathach-sama as my family. But Scathach-sama is also right that she's here just to train me. I remembered that my purpose for summoning Scathach-sama was because I wanted someone who could help me become strong so that I could avenge Mother's death, protect myself, and no longer lose those who were precious to me.
And I finally realized. I realized that I don't have to be alone in achieving my goals. I realized that I don't have to be alone in living life.
Indeed I have lost my Mother which is my only family left. But, I finally realized that I could have a new family. And I can have friends too.
Family who will look after, accompany, and protect each other. And friends who will help each other. They are the ones who will be precious to me!
So, I decided to start a new family! And we who are in the family are also friends to each other!
For that, I intend to form a family with the family members mainly gathered by summoning using my Sacred Gear!
I chose that method because my Sacred Gear also has a trait that automatically binds me and those whom I summon using my Sacred Gear! My Sacred Gear makes us bond where we can't betray each other! To be precise, I'm actually technically their 'master' because my Sacred Gear makes them automatically submit and obey me! Though of course I wont think of them as slaves or mistreat them!
Right now, I consider Scathach-sama as the first member of my family. It is true that right now I am still much weaker than her, but I will continue to strengthen myself so that I can be equal or even stronger than her so that I can become a reliable leader for our family!

After breakfast, I informed Governor Azazel that I would once again do a summoning using my Sacred Gear's Balance Breaker. And, I also told him that we were leaving. Surely Governor Azazel was quite surprised by our quite sudden decision. But in the end he only sighed in acceptance after learning that our decision to leave was from Scathach-sama.
The preparations were made not much different from the one when calling for Scathach-sama a year ago. Governor Azazel created a barrier to seal the testing ground, and Mephisto-sama also came. But Mephisto-sama didn't bring Tannin-sama this time.
After Mephisto-sama came, I also informed him of our decision to go train outside. And just like Governor Azazel, he could only sigh in acceptance.
After everything was ready, I started doing the summoning procedure.
I activated my Sacred Gear, [Serene Summoning], and a golden staff with a crystal on the tip appeared in the grip of my right hand. Next, I called the [Infinity Star Flame] and before long a purple-black ouroboros appeared and then floated circulating in my left palm.
After the two of them appeared, I brought the fire ouroboros in my left hand closer to the golden staff of my Sacred Gear. The fire ouroboros then moved around the golden staff and circulated to form a symbol of infinity.
After that, I closed my eyes and in my heart I hoped to call someone who could be relied on in daily household matters! With that wish, then I opened my eyes and began to chant:

After the chanting finished, I tapped the golden staff of my Sacred Gear onto the floor and shouted!
"Infinite Parallel Overwrite Summoning!"
Then, with myself at the center, a geometric purple-black circle of flames appeared that continued to expand to a radius of about five meters! Then, the geometric purple-black circle of fire got more and more blazed and rose to five meters so that the surroundings became a bit dark and dim.
About 10 minutes later, the purple-black circle of fire faded away.
And in front of me, the one who summoned was....
