1 1. Meeting the Devil

"So, let me make sure that I got it right. You are saying that you are a devil." An Indian boy of 17 said as he looked at a foreigner girl in front of him.

"Yes. That is correct." The girl, with blonde hair with blue tips and in an elegant dress said to him with a nod.

"And that you have come here to meet me so that you can ask me to join your group?" The boy said to her.

"A peerage but yes." The girl said to him with another nod.

"And I'm supposed to believe that." The boy said to her as he crossed his arms.

"It's quite believable." The girl said to him with a smile.

"How?" The boy asked her.

"Like this?" The girl said to him with a smile.

Then two devil wings sprang from behind her back as he was surprised as he looked at them.

'She really is a devil. Huh, would you look at that. I never expected to meet a devil in India after reincarnating in DxD.' The boy thought to himself as he looked at her.

"Are you sure about doing that when we're in a public cafe?" The boy asked her as he looked at her.

"Don't worry, I already placed a barrier around the two of us so they won't notice." The girl said to her.

"Is that so. Well then, say that I do agree to join this peerage of yours, what do I get in return?" The boy asked her as he looked at her.

"If you become a member of my peerage then you will become a devil like me and become a part of my household. You will have the standard powers of a devil and a very large lifespan compared to humans." The girl said to him as she looked at him seriously.

"Okay, that sounds good. But what is this peerage?" The boy asked her.

The girl then explained the peerage system to him as he listened to her explanation.

"So basically a sort of master servant system. Is that correct?" The boy said to her.

"In simple terms, yes it is. Besides, being a member of my household will give you protection against other beings who want to harm you." The girl said to him.

"But why me? Why did you choose me?" The boy asked her seriously.

"Because I believe and feel that you possess a sacred gear." The girl said to him.

"Sacred what?" The boy asked her a bit confused.

"Let me explain, you see..." The girl said before giving him a brief explanation about the sacred gears and it's system.

"I see. So basically, you want a weapon created by the Christian God is that correct?" The boy said to her.

"Yeah. That's the simple version." The girl said with a nod.

"For a devil you don't seem to be the lying type." The boy said to her.

"Well, you are going to become a part of my peerage and there might come a time where I would have to rely on you so I believe it's best to be truthful about it." The girl said to him as she drank her tea.

"I see. By the way, what is your name exactly?" The boy asked her curiously.

"Ah pardon me, I never did introduce myself did it. Well, I'll rectify that. I am Latia Astaroth, a devil and member of the Astaroth clan of the 72 pillars." The girl introduced herself with confidence.

'Astaroth!? So she is part of the same clan as Ajuka. I only ever seen the anime and read some parts of the LN so I don't know much. Maybe she was introduced in the LN.' The boy thought to himself as he looked at her.

"Well, I introduced myself, what's your name?" Latia asked him as she looked at him.

"Aaron Bell. My grandparents were Christians." The boy said to her with a smile.

"Well, it is nice to actually know your name Aaron. So, what do you think about the deal?" Latia asked him as she looked at him.

Aaron is a boy of 17 years of age who has brown skin, brownish black hair and yellow eyes. (A/N: Basically like Ookurikara.)

Latia is a beautiful girl with almond eyes with long blond hair with blue hair tips as she has a voluptuous body and large breasts. She has an elegant fan which is currently on her lap as she sipped her tea.

"Well, there is one condition." Aaron said to her with a smile.

"What's that?" Latia asked him curiously.

"You must let me touch your naked body." Aaron said to her with a whisper but loud enough for her to hear.

"Wha!" Latia said completely caught off guard by his condition as she blushed.

'I didn't think he was a pervert.' Latia thought to herself as she looked at him.

'I never got a girlfriend in my previous life and I want to know what it feels like to touch a girls body so I'm not going to lose this chance.' Aaron thought to himself as he looked at the devil.

"So, what is it going to be?" Aaron asked her with a smile.

Latia stayed silent as she looked at him, wanting to gauge what he said and to make a decision. But then she suddenly looked to her left as her eyes widened a bit before they narrowed as she stood up from her chair.

"Stay here. Don't move." Latia said to him in a commanding tone.

She didn't give him time to respond as she already walked away from the table with a certain confidence in her steps. She walked out of the cafe and reached near a secluded park of the city. It seems like not many people are there as well as she looked at the park suspiciously.

She then raised her right hand and shot a ball of demonic energy at a tree, only for it to be destroyed by a light spear. Latia only glared at the tree as three fallen angels appeared out of the trees and hovered in the air. She could also feel a barrier around the place as she looked at them.

"What are you fallen doing here?" Latia asked them as she prepared her power.

"We were tasked to watch over the boy but we didn't expect to see a devil in this territory." One fallen said to her.

"Well you better leave here before you do something you might regret." Latia said to them with a glare.

"Well, you'll have to be alive for us to feel any regrets." The fallen in the middle said to her.

Latia glared at them and gathered her demonic energy in her hand as she was about to attack while the fallen also created light spears to use against the girl.

"You got a nice party going along. Mind if I join in?" Aaron's voice said surprising the ones there.

But that was all they were able to do as huge amounts of blue electricity fell down on the three fallen and electrocuted them very badly as they screamed in pain. Latia meanwhile looked at the display with wide eyes as the fallen fell down after the lightning stopped.

Latia turned around and looked behind her to see Aaron looking at her with a smirk as blue lightning danced around him. But the thing that took his attention was the gold gauntlet covering his forearm which also has a blue gem in the backhand as electricity danced around it.

"Sorry for the interruption Latia. Hope I didn't take your kill." Aaron said to her with a smile.

"Aaron, that's..." Latia said as she looked at his gauntlet.

"Yeah. I think this is my sacred gear." Aaron said to her with a smile.
