36 Time to join a war

The time has come to do the thing that I don't like doing.

I need to put in effort to get stronger. Which means... I need to train.

"Which I will do later." I procrastinated as I laid on my bed, curled up in my blanket like a potato. I was waiting for Koneko to finish talking with her sister, but they seem to be taking a long time to talk.

Procrastinating when I should be training to piss off the readers?

Check.

I really don't feel like putting in the effort, but the plot's gonna drag me in again whether I want it or not. I'm already too involved with the cast, and Ophis will probably show up at some point since Kuroka is here. I'm not really worried about Ophis, insane power doesn't really bother me since I can deal with her without conflict. I can just make something to give her the 'silence' she desires, if she bothers me.

I could buy stuff from the multiversal catalogue, but I don't have much multiversal credits at the moment. Haven't really been making an effort to get credits since I haven't really had a need for it. At best, I could probably buy one decent thing at the moment.

I could sell crap from the Gate, but I sort of have a hoarding problem. I just don't want to sell stuff from it, even useless crap in there. Another thing to add to the list of flaws I have, like being a coward, lazy, an addict(magical drugs), a smoker(elder blunt), an alcoholic and now a hoarder.

I can't just go to an alternate version of Skyrim to grab artifacts that I've already sold to the shop. The shop doesn't allow a loophole like that unfortunately.

Speaking of which, how many credits do I actually have left right now? Reluctantly getting out of my bed, I went to my truck to check.

[Current balance: 32593 Credits available] More than I thought I had left, maybe I should buy something.

Heading over to the [Multiverse powers] section, I scrolled through the list and filtered it to be around my budget.

"Lots of options, although I'm not really sure what I want. 32k could get something pretty nice." I thought back to my experiences so far. I generally didn't get hit that much in battle, dodging from dark souls has really been ingrained into me.

I don't really need any healing abilities since I have potions for that. Maybe I should drop by the Nasuverse later to grab Avalon. I think it'd work on me since I technically have Artoria inside of me.

I didn't really feel like getting any miscellaneous items from the items section, I still had a spare Master Ball that I never used. Nothing interesting to catch, consider dropping by Pokemon later for vacation then.

"Oh, I know!" I said out loud as I remembered something I did recently that I couldn't do myself. Scrolling through the list, I found what I was looking for.

[Thank you for your purchase of 'The World'. Remaining Balance: 2593 credits]

I waited a moment in my room as an emerald green portal opened up. A familiar man in a suit stepped out with a clip board. "Gold Aversis?" he asked as his eyes flashed green light.

"We've met before you know?" I said as I remember this guy from when I ordered stuff from the catalogue some time ago. I guess he has juridstiction over this part of the omniverse that were in.

"I know, but it's standard policy to ask. Anyway, please sign here." He held out the clip board for me to sign. Signing it, he nodded with a smile.

"Your order will arrive shortly, we look forward to your future purchases." He said before leaving. I considered working for that department back then, but I didn't want to work in retail. I heard dealing with customers could be annoying at times.

Another portal opened up as girl in a gray outfit stepped through. She held a glass box with an ornate arrow displated within. I raised a brow in confusion. "Shouldn't it be a pill or something?" I asked.

"Normally it is, but our stock is running low recently low due to certain unforseen circumstances." She explained. I didn't ask what the circumstances were, sometimes it's better to not know as to avoid getting involved with multiversal problems. For all I know, the union workers could have gone on a strike or something.

"So you're just gonna stab me with it?"

"Correct, do not worry as I have been trained for this."

"Alright lay it on me." I spread my arms out after taking a deep breath. My skin can block regular bullets, but I wasn't worried about the arrow being unable to pierce it. Things created outside the omniverse don't work the same as things inside of it. Similar to my truck, it's basically a middle finger to common sense.

I closed my eyes, and felt something stabbing into my chest. It didn't feel like it pierced my body, instead it felt like the arrow slipped straight through to my soul. It left as quickly as it came.

"Done, thank you for your purchase." She said before placing the arrow back in the box and leaving as quickly as she came.

I placed a palm on my chest, feeling the spot where I was stabbed. Scanning my body, I could feel something different. Releasing a deep breath I attempted to command [The World]. A muscular golden stand manifested next to me, I smiled realizing that it worked.

During my fight with Serafall, I actually found it cool to stop time. Although I had to use Gasper's sacred gear as a medium to do it at the time. Although in the multiverse, controlling time isn't that impressive. There were plenty of ways to mess with it if you knew how.

"Alright let's try this ou-" I didn't get to finish as I jumped in fright of a large golden spearhead poking out of [The World]'s chest. [The World] looked down as his disbelief mirrored my own, then a second spearhead appeared to our horror.

"Rong!?" I exclaimed as the light and dark Rhongomyniads were behind [The World]. Their lances pierced through it's body as their expressions remained stoic, but underneath there seemed to be an underlying hint of anger that made me sweat a bit.

[The World]'s body started to become ethereal as it's essence was absorbed within the two lances. [The World] was incapable of putting up any resistance as it's being and powers were assimiliated into the two Rhongomyniads.

I stood there with my jaw open in disbelief and confusion. The two girls turned their gaze to me, I couldn't help but feel like they were mad at me for some reason. "Wait, were you two just jealous or something?!" I exclaimed in realization.

They averted their glares to the side at my question, unable to look me in the eyes before fading away again. 'Since when did they become tsunderes?' I thought to myself before shaking my head with a sigh.

"[The World]!" I called out again, instead of the stand coming out this time. A ripple in space was released from my body as the surrounding colors disappeared and became monochromatic.

"Atleast I can still stop time." I breathed a sigh of relief. I guess Rhongomyniad assimilated [The World]'s power. I was worried about wasting all those credits for nothing. This isn't so bad, I mainly got [The World] for the time stopping anyway.

Time resumed again without my command. 6 seconds, that's the limit my body is capable of at the moment. Not too bad, it takes my own stamina instead of magical energy. I feel a bit tired, which means I won't be able to do this in quick succession. Oh well, this is still pretty fun anyway.

Hm, I guess I should try to make up with Rong. I feel like they would be happy if I used the lance more, but I don't really have much experience with using lances. Guess it's time to learn.

Getting in my truck I disappeared from reality.

Within a dark room, slightly illuminated only by a small T.V. broadcasting the news. Two unmoving figures were seated on the couch facing the T.V.

"Fill, fill, fill'er up, fill..." A young man chanted out as he moved his bloodsoaked foot on the ground, as if painting something. "Repeat four times..." his voice seemed unsure and confused for a moment. Gold would recognize this man as Ryuunosuke Uryu, the serial killer from Fate Zero.

"Wait, was it five times?" Ryuunosuke paused for a moment in thought. "Um, destroy each when filled..." He then glanced back at the book. "...or something."

All of a sudden the pentagram drawn with blood on the floor began to shine. A portal started to open above it. "Wooah! It actually worked!" Ryuunosuke exclaimed, staring at the portal in anticipation.

*HOONKKK!* Like an unstoppable beast of steel. A truck came charging out, crashing straight into the serial killer. Ryuunosuke Uryu was flattened like a pancake.

Exiting the vehicle Gold Aversis ran out in panic. "Oh damnit! Why can't I stop running people over!?" He cried out indignantly as he didn't mean to do it again.

He glanced around the living room and blinked at the gory scene of two dead bodies near the couch. "Well, I feel like I just interrupted something." Gold commented.

"Mmmph!" Gold turned to the muffled sound of a kid tied up on the floor.

"Huh, well then. Come on kid, I'll drop you off at the authorities at least before I go." Gold grabbed the tied up kid and chucked him into the truck before driving straight through the wall towards the police station.

Well I dropped off the kid at the station. The cops tried to question me, but I just drove off before they could catch me. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Right now I'm at the Fuyuki docks, attempting to familiarize myself with Fuyuki. I came here for two reasons. The main reason is to get used to fighting with my lance and what better way than fighting servants who could probably wreck my shit if I slipped up?

The less important reason is to grab Avalon. I don't always have the luxury of drinking estus during fights. So it'd be nice to have something that could help with that. I think I'll grab it at the end or something.

"Wait, didn't I just run over caster's master?" I muttered to myself. Oh shit, now that I think about it, I did run him over a moment ago. Wait then who's going to be summoning caster?

*Burning SFX* I twitched a little at the red command seals manifesting on my hand.

"Huh, well I guess this is a thing now." I blinked for a moment before opening Gilgamesh's 'Greatest guide to magic' book that I still read from time to time.

"Let's see here."I flipped through pages until I found the section on summoning. Quickly following the instructions for the magic circle, I stepped back.

So according to Gilgamesh there is no actual chant for this. Screw it, I'll make my own chant up then. Okay I'll just alter the original chant, yah that'll work I think.

"For the laws of existence and reality." I began the chant. "The original omniverse and the 42 original R.O.Bs. And for my great boss R.O.B." According to the book, it's more about intent than words.

"Close the four divides. Come forth from the origin and follow the invisible road leading to the infinite." I just noticed that the circle has been glowing green, guess that means that it's working.

"Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill. Repeat five times, but when each is filled, destroy it. Set." The circle changed from green to gold.

"Heed my words, my will creates your body and your sword creates my destiny. If you heed the grail's call and obey my will and reason, then answer me."

"I herby swear, that I will run over all the idiots in the world. That I shall defeat all logic in the world." The golden light began to shine even brighter.

"Seventh heaven clad in the great words of power, from the binding circle. Guardian of scales!" The overflowing wind kicked up as I stared at the figure that answered my call.

My gray eyes met his red. Our blonde hair flowed with the residual wind from the summoning.

He was a man with a well toned build and average height. There was a purple tattoo on each of his shoulders shaped like a flower. He wore a dark purple garment that stopped right below his chest and red harem pants.

"Caster, Gilgamesh. I have manifested in response to the mongrel who dared to use my treasures without permission!" The blonde servant declared.

Oh shit. I think I would have rather dealt with Ryuunosuke than this guy.
