21 Riser Phenex

Author notes: Been busy with Genshin Impact since it came out, so less time to spend writing. Man my thumbs hurt since I play it on mobile.

Stepping into the room, Gold took a quick glance around it. Everyone's expressions seemed to be of either surprise or outright confused from his abrupt entrance. Riser's peerage stood to the side while Rias and her peerage seemed to be at their usual spots. Gold took a moment to feel out the silver haired maid next to Rias. He could feel it, she was strong despite not releasing any power.

It took the Phenex a moment to actually process the first thing gold said when entering the room. "Riser will turn you to ashes human!" He erupted in searing flames that soared towards the human intruder.

"Watch out!" Akemi and Koneko panicked despite knowing that he wouldn't die so easily.

Grayfia could have intervened, but in her eyes it was just a human. There wasn't much point in stopping it, it would be better to get the Phenex's temper tantrum out of the way.

"A lowborn human should have known better than to disrespect Riser." Riser smirked as the flames shrouded the blonde in a swirling vortex of heat.

"Riser, Riser, Riser." The voice came from within the flames. When the Vortex dispersed, Riser was shocked to see that instead of ashes, the human was still standing there unscathed. "Do you always speak in third person?" Gold raised a brow at the blonde devil.

"How are you still alive from Riser's flames!?" He questioned loudly, unable to understand how a human survived his flames.

"Enchantments son! They react to bullshit thrown my way!" Gold smirked as he had his clothes enchanted with nearly complete fire resistance before this.

"Stop mocking Riser!" Riser roared out once again as even hotter flames bursted towards the human magician again. The flames of his rage were hot enough to melt the floorboards beneath the floors.

*Clap* *Clap* *Clap* A slow clap sounded out from the flames before being once again dispersed. "You know, they say the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result. But I think in this case it's just your stupidity." Gold was still completely relaxed as he continued to mock the devil.

Riser stared at him in disbelief. Just as he was about to voice out questions, he was interrupted by two fists creating in indent in his skull. Gold blinked at the sight of Riser flying into the wall from Akemi and Koneko's double team.

"Riser-sama!" Riser's peerage seemed to panick at the sight of their King's head getting caved in. Of course it regenerated due to his insane regeneration, but it still wasn't a pretty sight.

"Could you not do that? I'm trying to do a thing here." Gold sighed a little as the two sort of stole his spotlight there.

"But..." Koneko seemed conflicted.

"He deserved it!" Akemi declared pissed off. She admitted that she was impressed by his harem, but he crossed the line earlier.

"I appreciate it, but please let me handle this." Gold gave them a look as if he had a plan that was being sort of ruined by their interference.

"RISER WILL KILL ALL OF YOU!" Riser's enraged shout reverberated throughout the room. Rising up in a blazing inferno, his blood shot eyes locked onto not only gold, but Akemi and Koneko as well. Just as Grayfia was about to step in, another voice rang out.

"Enough!" an aged voice came from behind Gold. No one else in the room besides Riser's group and Grayfia recognized the voice. Despite his indignant rage, Riser still froze at the familiarity of the voice.

"Lord Phenex, I did not expect your arrival here." Grayfia bowed slightly from beside Rias.

"F-Father!?" Ravel stuttered as she recognized the image of the current lord of the Phenex clan.

"Correct! And I must say, I am very disappointed in not just your brother. But you as well Ravel!" His voice wasn't that loud but it was like drums to the sibling's ears who lowered their heads at their father's words.

"Indeed, when I heard that my boy Riser was still speaking in such a manner I was apalled at the accusation!" Another voice came from the door as a woman stepped through and joined Lord Phenex's side.

"M-Mother!?" Riser couldn't believe that his parents were here. He didn't understand why they were here. Normally their parents were too busy with political affairs to meet often with their children.

"Silence boy!" the father shut him up before he could continue speaking. "Riser I know that you were always a bit slow compared to your brothers, which is why I left Ravel with you in hopes that she would assist you." He turned his stern gaze to the little sister who kept her head down.

"I was happy to hear that your sister assisted you with forming your peerage. I was even happier to hear that you were smartly avoiding any rating games that would bring shame to the family." Lord Phenex smiled fondly at the thought of his son knowing to be humble and avoid losing face for the clan.

Riser had a record of not losing, even fighting by himself. The matches were carefully selected by his sister, she even helped with carefully selecting his peerage. Sure they were weak, but Riser didn't need strong Peerage members for what he wanted in life. He just wanted to have a harem and get with the lifestyle of a young master and his sister knew that. So she chose people that wouldn't betray the Phenex household, such as people who worked for them already.

"But to hear that your speech is still at the level of a child." Lord Phenex got straight to the point. "Riser, how old are you now?" His piercing stare made Riser shiver a little.

"R-Riser is-" Riser stuttered but wasn interrupted

"ENOUGH!"His father shouted, halting Riser's answer. "There! That right there! Why in Satan's name are you speaking in third person!?" His father questioned to which Riser just kept his head down.

"Honey, I think you might be a bit too harsh on him." Lady Phenex spoke in Riser's defense

"No, he is old enough to know how to properly speak! He will bring embarrassment to the house of Phenex if he were to open his mouth in any public setting!" Lord Phenex ranted for a bit longer

"Don't worry Lord Phenex, I brought this to your attention. It's only natural that I offer my assistance." Gold who spoke up was now dressed in a sleek business suit and tie. His square glasses covered his eyes and no one had actually seen him change outfits.

"Ah, Sir Aversis. My apologies for my outburst from before. I had thought you were intentionally insulting our clan." Earlier, Gold had specifically met up with the current heads of the Phenex house on purpose to get them here. It wasn't wasn't easy since he was a human, which are generally looked down on.

"No hard feelings Sir, how about I personally offer my services to teach your unruly son about proper speech."

"Can you really do it?" Lady Phenex seemed hopeful

"Leave it to me, don't worry about costs. All I ask for is a small favor in the future." Gold spoke with complete assurance as he straightened his tie with a million dollar smile.

"Then I will leave this brat in your hands. I expect to hear good things in the future." Lord Phenex nodded as he turned to leave into a magic circle.

"I expect you to take Sir Aversis's teachings seriously, I will be personally see you again in the future Riser." Was the father's last words to his child before leaving.

"Well then." Gold turned to smile at everyone in the room. For some reason Riser and his group felt a chill go up their spines.

Before they could react, golden chains wrapped around Riser and his peerage and yanked them into a truck that appeared out of nowhere. "See you guys later." Gold waved at the rest of the group before leaving in his truck

IN SOME UNKNOWN LOCATION

When Riser opened his eyes, he had found himself in a hot desert in the middle of nowhere. The heat wasn't that bad to him, he was a devil and was used to flames.

"RISER PHENEX!" A booming voice shook the skies, causing him to look up at the culprit who had taken him and his peerage. He was standing ontop of a floating island. He had an unidentifiable scroll out, the mystic runes floating out of it were being siphoned into a blunt. Was he smoking in this situation?

"Like what you see?" Gold's infuriating smile actually pissed Riser off, but he restrained himself from retorting due to his father's orders.

"W-What have you done!?" Riser finally turned his gaze next to the blonde magician. His entire peerage was in chains next to him, naked as the day they were born. Their breasts hanged out for the world to see. But worst, even his sister was up there. Some of them had looks of shame on their faces, the rest didn't care as they were used to perverse things.

"RISER WILL KILL YOU!" Riser roared as he attempted to fly up there with flaming wings. But to his disbelief, he was unable to form the flaming wings that would give him the ability to get up there.

"Your powers will not help you in this situation." Gold's voice wasn't loud this time, but despite that it felt like he was speaking right next to him.

"What... what do you want from Riser!?" Riser finally asked as he was helpless to save his peerage and sister.

"Simple, I want to fix your speech. Now observe!" A thousand panels of light formed a stairway towards the cloud district. They then dimmed, becoming transparent.

"For every single step of these stairs, you will be presented with questions and problems that will get progressively more difficult." Riser observed the transparent stairway. He tried touching one, only for his hand to go right through. Then a glowing box of text appeared before him. [Introduce yourself in a regular sentence.]

"Riser's name is-" *BUZZ* The text displayed [WRONG]. Riser was stumped at the odd method of teaching.

"You wouldn't learn fast if there wasn't any stakes. So I had this prepared before hand." Riser looked up again to see Gold taking out a jar of pink substance.

Gold dipped his hand into the pink substance and began spreading it over one of the women's breasts. Riser found himself becoming enraged to see him groping his Queen Yubelluna. However his rage shifted into horror, Gold's smirk turned from infuriating to horrifying. The Bomb Queen Yubelluna's giant breasts started to reduce to half their original size.

"HeheuhehahahHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Gold's maniacal laughter reverberated through space.

"Y-You MONSTER!" Riser roared out

"That's right Riser Phenex! For every hour that you take, I will use this on each of your Peerage members until they become as flat as a board!" Gold gave out his terrible declaration. "SO IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR PRECIOUS TITS, YOU BETTER LEARN FAST!"

"H-HOW!? HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING SO EVIL!?" Riser seemed to be on the verge of tears.

"CLOCK'S TICKING RISER! AND YOU STILL HAVE A THOUSAND STEPS!" Gold laughed evilly as he took another smoke from his elder blunt. "But first let me ask you something." He turned back down to the horrified devil.

"Do you get to the cloud district often?" He grinned an infuriatingly smug smile

On that day, Riser would begin the most daunting task of his life.
