Dreams

It is something that all people possess. Dreams of becoming powerful, rich, famous, intelligent and many more, this would often lead to desire.

Desire is always present in people, whether man, woman or even a child. The desires to learn, get strong, or even obtain money. Desire is what powers us humans, which leads to numerous discoveries, achievements and disasters.

But who cares about shit like this, you know? You are not here to hear nonsensical things but read something exciting like fights, sex and a good story.

*ahem* Anyway…

The point is: every person has a desire.

Even I have a desire, something that what I think is half of the Earth's population has also desired.

And it is to reincarnate to an anime world and live there to the fullest.

Very cliché, right? Of course it is. Though as cliché as it may be, it is what empowers me to live this shitty life I was living in, besides novels and stuff. Though, it's pretty much useless as a means of motivation to keep on living anyway, since I'm now dead.

And how did that happen, you ask?

You may credit my death to the Almighty Truck-sama, the Death Reaper of Isekai Protagonists.

Yet another cliché thing, except that truly occurred to me. Details about how that happened don't really matter, as long as you already know the cause of my death.

I'd like to think that my family should be devastated and friends would be sad of my passing.

The only thing that bothers me is that my dog would never know why I never came back…

I expected a lot of pain, but that never came. I also expected my consciousness to fade, since I'm already dead. What I didn't expect, though I should have already expected this, was…

… A window screen. A goddamned floating window screen that screams "I AM SYSTEM, REVERE ME!" so much I want to die to check if it's real.

I hit the Y, and then it showed me three choices.

Could it be? Is that… what I think it is? The title of a man who can summon weapons of heroes and is basically overpowered if not for his mediocre Prana supply, degradation of Mystery and shitty luck, the GAR himself?

I'm not even going to contemplate which one I'll choose. Sure the others are powerful in their own right, but nothing beats summoning weapons and raining Noble Phantasms on enemies except for Ea since that thing is hax.

Heck, I can now consider my favorite line my property as well: [I am the bone of my sword.]

Pressing the second choice, the screen shined before telling me something that made me feel almost regret ever choosing to reincarnate. Almost.

Do you know how it feels as if you wake up like you've gained rationality and treat an unfamiliar area that you know nothing about as if you've known it your whole life? Well I can say that it's… actually kind of vague, and painful.

It's like inserting a CD to a CD-Drive, the CD would then exude the contents to the screen to be examined by the user. But instead of a single CD, multiple CDs were jammed to a single CD-Drive overloading the computer and caused a bluescreen of death.

It sounds gibberish and stupid, I know. But there are things that are too confusing to explain that should not be explained at all.

All I can say is that, I have memories of multiple lives; one is of Counter Guardian EMIYA and his alternate selves, another is my own memories and last one is the owner of the body whose consciousness I have taken over.

Maybe that's why there's no trouble in my transmigration, maybe the memory influx caused a 'bluescreen of death' to the owner of this body.

All I can offer is my apologies.

I snapped myself back to reality and began checking my surroundings; it seems to be a bedroom that belongs to a child. I spotted a mirror and headed there to see what I look like.

A child who looked to be at the age of ten was the one who greeted me. Unnatural orange hair, cheeks that still have baby fat, and a thin body. But the most interesting part is the eyes, golden like a flame. Eyes filled that of determination. To sum it up, I'm basically a carbon copy of Shirou.

Clichés have been occurring at me left and right, now let's see if this certain cliché is also available for me to abus- I mean help myself.

As shown in various novels, manga etc. with multiple systems and isekai, I thought of the word that will reveal whether I also have it or not.

Oh! That Tomoe Enjou! From what I can remember, he's that Shirou-lookalike from Kara no Kyoukai, who murdered his parents and met Shiki. Though now that I think about it, this body's parents also died, but from an accident when I was with friends. Both of them really have it hard.

I noticed that there was no [The Gamer] or [The Player] title but rather the choice I made before. So I tapped it to see the effects.

The title bestowed to a Counter Guardian, one who in his previous life was involved with many weapons, tempered them, and produced weapons for many swordsmen and soldiers. Due to being an Incarnation (Sword), he developed his unique ability to produce perfect copies of weapons and developed a [Reality Marble] to store the weapons he encountered throughout his life as a human and Counter Guardian.

Skills related to the [Hero of Wrought Iron] will gain 500% Exp increase. Archery & Sword-related skills will gain 300% Exp increase. Other Weaponry-related skills will gain 100% Exp increase.

The contents made me realize that I actually have his powers. Though it made me wonder if it will not work due to not possessing the [Origin] and [Elemental Affinity] of Sword as it is the reason why EMIYA can project those powerful weapons.

But I will have to worry about that later, because I still have some things to do.

I walked out of the room and headed towards the kitchen. The place was small, a single-story 1LDK house with two bedrooms. I arrived there and made breakfast for two people. Then I headed towards a room just next to mine.

"Tomoe-chan! Good morning." An old woman greeted me. She had the typical appearance of an elderly; the grayed hair, wrinkles, frail body and the ever-present smile despite the burdens they have.

"Good morning to you too... Hanako-san." I greeted her back.

From the boy's memories, her name was Endo Hanako who had fostered me half a year after his parents had an accident. She is a widowed woman who recently has trouble in performing her daily lifestyle due to her illness, and she refused to go to a nursing home because of the house. Then they suggested that she should foster a kid, AKA Me, to take care of her.

Long story short, he got adopted and she has her caretaker, a win-win situation they would think.

Unreasonable, I know. But fortunately she fostered a capable person who knows how to take care of himself and others if needed.

Anyway I gave her the usual treatment, thank god for the memories, and did everything without a hitch. I also ate my own and groomed myself. Though now it's time for me to test out my abilities.

"I'm going outside for a bit." I informed her, knowing that she trusts me enough to be careful.

"Be careful out there okay?"

"Yes, do press the button if anything happens."

I headed out of the house through the backdoor, to a backyard with an area of about 40 meters. I may have said I had to go out, but Hanako-san won't know I'm just in the backyard.

"Let's get this started then, [I.D. Create]."

No sooner had I murmured that, the area around me suddenly became quiet. It was just how it was before I used the skill, but moving around I spotted no one in the area.

'This is great.'

It's really great, if not for this skill, I would have to worry where to train my abilities due to the abundance of supernatural beings lurking around or even blending amongst the crowd. They could also probably detect the usage of mana and would investigate the sudden spike and would cause problems to me.

It would also be harder to gain experience not from the lack of enemies, stray devils and basically all the factions if they discover my ability to 'create' weapons most of the mythologies possess/lost by their heroes.

And of course I'm still weak, I have to get stronger. I have the weapons I need, I just need the strength to wield them.

An image comes into my mind, twin swords that represent Yin and Yang. As I reached out my hand, two words were spoken in my mind.

'Trace... on!'

Blue sparks crackled above my palms as a shape started to form. It would have been impossible due to the skill [Tracing] being locked, but this weapon was the signature weapon of the hero whose powers I possess.

Two swords formed as I grip them hard. One was as dark as the sky with hexagonal patterns covering the body, the other as white as a hazy cloud.

'Kanshou and Bakuya'

I may have succeeded forming them, but it was brittle as proven by the cracks formed after gripping it with my hands.
