16 Chapter 16: Super

Kashin pushed open two large metal gates walking upon a large what seemed to be a normal house, Albeit luxurious though that was not at all surprising for a devil.

Outside, the grounds are lush and well-tended, with a large swimming pool, a gazebo, and a rose garden.

This mansion stands at the end of a long, tree-lined drive set against the backdrop of a rolling meadow.

The house is constructed of warm-hued stone, with a gabled roof and imposing turrets rising from its corners.

The entrance is through a grand double door of carved oak, and the grounds are surrounded by a tall stone wall.

Kashin walked up the gravel pathway, not bothering to knock they were after all mere branch members of an already weak household, he merely pushed open the oak wood double door taking a step inside.

The interior of the mansion is equally impressive, with high ceilings and spacious rooms with thick carpeting, while the living room is filled with comfortable couches and armchairs.

A green-haired devil with pale green eyes and fair skin was resting atop one of these several armchairs as if waiting for Kashin's arrival.

His eyes locked into Kashin's before he frowned "Lord Yamato sent a child to retrieve such important information?…." clearly he was looking down on Kashin.

The boy didn't respond merely motioning with his index finger "Kneel." With a single word the green-haired man's eyes enlarged a sudden pressure hit him breaking the armchair underneath him and forcing him onto his knees his head down in concession.

The sound of breaking chairs and the grunts of pain from the green-haired devil were like

Music to Kashin's ear, He had promised himself he wouldnt turn out like Yamato and Arjuna but…it was getting harder by the day.

To bully the weak and fear the strong, Kashin didn't know if he abided by such an idea though his actions came as an affirmation.

"Yes… Why do you have a problem?" Kashin said coldly increasing the pressure on him, His patience was thin.

"N-no no no… not at all I was merely surprised that Someone as great as yourself would be so young." The green-haired devil said with a flattering smile, Cold sweat atop his brow truly he was that close to death.

"Good… Well then? don't keep me waiting get on with it… the papers.." Kashin said impatiently as he lowered the pressure from the man.

"Of course, my lord please this way… follow me, my great glorious king..!" He said with an extremely complimentary face, He switched personalities like they were clothes just from a soft display of power.

Kashin followed him from the living room to the northwest of the building, through an enormous hallway with various guest rooms and doors littered on each side.

Finally, after five minutes of just silent walking, The man stopped in front of a plain-looking oak door pushing it open they were greeted by a normal sight a plain white guest bedroom not at all what Kashin expected.

"Where are the papers?" He inquired his eyebrows creasing in confusion and impatience.

"Please my lord it's right on here." The green-eyed devil answered still with that same sickening smile one of pure flattering as if he was a doormat.

He walked to the very back of the room flipping some sort of switch, The left wall of the room started shifting before eventually making a small opening through it to another room.

Kashin didn't need to be told and walked through snorting in disdain at the sight before him oh why was he not surprised?

A plain-looking laboratory that smelled of powerful chemicals and odors of liquids, the floor made of pure metal and tiles that gleamed underneath the light monitors TVs, and wires running across it, Bookshelves to the left of the room that ran for as long as the eye could see, An almost endless amount.

As he walked in his eyebrows creased for a second, two other beings were breathing in here, One soft seemingly unconscious the other heavier.

Though Kashin ignored it he was confident he could stop any threat that presented itself.

"…. Regardless I need the papers," Kashin said offhandedly while yawning much to the man's dismay and anger he kept it hidden.

"They'll be with you shortly my lord please I just need an hour or so to reorganize them." He replied while walking past Kashin and onto his desk which was suited at the very forefront of the room, It was a mess of papers and documents as if a tornado had come through.

Kashin sighed but relented he could wait a bit and the papers weren't the only reason he was here, He walked towards the main bookshelves his eyes filled with interest as he browsed through them mainly they were documenting the history of the supernatural world nothing interesting as Kashin would say.

The book that caught his attention was lacking in covers but boldly named "The Strong Force Its Applications to Reality: A Basic Dive." he picked it up opening it.

Curiosity grew inside him he had heard of Yamato mentioning the strong force here and then but he didn't understand what it was or how it related to him.

He flipped to the first few pages of the first chapter named "Super" the strong force was behind the major causes of nuclear fusion and the brith of stars, Kashin was fascinated.

His ears twitched again that hard breathing from before had started accelerating what was going on?

"Who is that?" Kashin said softly closing the book he was already halfway through it, His mind was extremely adept at picking up information quickly a page that would take an ordinary devil ten minutes to comprehend would only take him 30 seconds.

"Who is what my lord?" Nakaba Naberius replied with a drop of cold sweat dripping down his neck.

"A nekomata a one quite proficient in senjutsu…" Was the answer that met him, Kashin was about to speak once more, Till he turned around, dull hollow red eyes met golden hazel eyes that gleamed in the shadows.

which swiftly ran out of the darkness rushing at him at extreme speeds momentarily surprising him.

"Gravity 10x" Kashin whispered the ground cracked as the person welding the golden eyes fell flat on their face, stopping dead in their tracks much to Nakaba's astonishment and fear.

"Well well well… Nakaba… care to explain why you have such a powerful senjutsu user in your position and have not told Yamato? And she seems to be one of your servants too… Did you order her to kill me?" Kashin asked teasingly, as he snickered loudly finding it amusing.

"My lord please don't joke around with my heart like that… I-i would never do such a thing..." He fiercely tried to defend himself and he was telling the truth but Kashin couldn't care less.

Kashin deciding to ignore the scientist for now and kneeled to eye level with his would-be assassin or so he thought.

Long black hair golden hazel eyes fair skin, Oddly enough two cat-like ears atop her head and a tall cat-like tail at her lower back.

"A nekomata?… No… Something similar but less pure…" He muttered thoughtfully as he temporarily took off the pressure on her.

"Please! Help me that man is trying to use my baby sister for his sick experiments… I will do anything for you if you just save my little sister.." The cat girl begged quietly her eyes filled with tears.

She at first wished to sneak up on Nakaba and swiftly kill him, Her skills allowed her to do so but before she could even put her action in motion another devil had entered the room.

Her second plan was too first to knock out the weaker-looking one and then swiftly deal with Nakaba with her senjutsu though she didn't account for the fact that Kashin was so powerful.

Kashin hummed a thoughtful look in his eyes thanks to his advanced senses he could tell she had no malicious intent, the blame should be out on Nakaba for allowing such lax security in such a supposedly secret room.

Kashin turned to look at the scientist who was fumbling with the documents, his hands practically dripping sweat as he quickly ran out of his chair and kneeled before Kashin with a neat stack of papers upon his trembling hands.

"M-my Lord I-i have the papers h-here!" Nakaba was pale as a sheet of paper his heart having sunken to his stomach with just a thought any second his life could be extinguished.

Kashin took the papers nodding in approval "Good job!" The cat girl on the floor sobbed harder knowing all was for naught and she'd probably die here while her sister would be tortured.

"As your reward…" Nakaba calmed down his hands trembling less, a small smile of relief washing over him yes yes, he had made it out alive!

"I'll give you a painless death." Before one could even scream or even realize the words said it was already too late.

The gravity that could be comparable to a thousand mountains slammed into Nakaba's mortal frail body which popped like an overflowing balloon with pieces of organs and brain matter going everywhere dying the walls a sickening red.

The taste of iron was heavy in the air as the catgirl froze…
