41 Let's visit a shrine 1

(About a year after Mike started living in Hyoudou Residence)

"Hmm... So, this is the place..." Mike said while looking at a shrine.

Since the situation with the devils is better, Mike's next target is Azazel, the leader of fallen angels. But Azazel is hard to get into contact with. And while searching for ways to meet him, Mike came across information about one of the leaders of Grigori, Baraqiel's location. Mike already asked Michael about the fallen angels. So, Mike knew that Baraqiel isn't a bad guy and also is one of the most trusted subordinates of Azazel. So, Mike thought of taking Baraqiel's help to meet Azazel in secret. Of course, Mike is currently in his disguise. No, not the magical girl disguise, it's the one where he covers his face with a mask.

Mike wanted to go near the shrine but he noticed something else in the surroundings. People were hiding in the surroundings of the shrine. So, Mike disappeared from his location and appeared behind one of those people. "Umm... May I know the reason you are here?"

"Waa!!" The man was shocked by the sudden appearance of Mike. He threw his dagger at Mike but Mike easily caught it.

"Oh, you don't need to be so wary. I won't harm you unless you try to harm me. I am here with another purpose. So, could you please tell me the reason you are here?" Mike tried to be as polite as he can.

The guy asked with surprise "Who are you?! How are you here?!"

Mike sighed "Haa... I thought I asked you first. Fine, the fact that you are here means you are here for Baraqiel, right? I am here for the same reason."

The guy understood that Mike is someone way more skilled than him. He didn't understand who trained a kid to this extent. He sighed "Haa... You are his enemy too, huh... Well, if you want Baraqiel, it seems he isn't here. So, his wife and daughter are still here, so we can kill them instead."

Well, the assassin thought that Mike is also an enemy of fallen angels and came to kill Baraqiel because many factions against Baraqiel got information about his location.

But I don't really like people who involve innocents in their stupid strife. If the guys I killed turned out to be good people, then this is a "sin" that I must carry."

Mike already understood that they were assassins to kill Baraqiel. But they might be good people who don't like fallen angels just like the exorcists from the church. So, Mike interrogated one of them so that he can decide if he should spare them or kill them. And he finally decided to kill.

Mike went near the shrine again. And Mike was about to enter but he noticed something else this time. "Traps?"

Mike noticed a few strings here and there. "Who the hell would put traps here? Well, since they put these traps here, evading all these traps and going near them would make them even warier of me. So, let's trigger one of these."

Mike pulled one of those strings and ringing sounds came from all around him. It looks like that traps are like alarms. And the next moment, shrine doors were opened.

"Come at me, you assholes!!" A black-haired girl with violet eyes appeared from the shrine. She is holding knives in both of her hands. She has raven wings on her back and there are also multiple light-based knives floating around her. The girl looked at Mike and stopped in her tracks. She looked side to side and looked back at Mike. "I thought there were supposed to be more people here..."

"Ah, if you are talking about the assassins that were here till now, I took care of them," Mike answered.

The girl looked a little surprised. She went into thought for a moment and looked back at Mike and said, "You are a reincarnated person too, aren't you?"

"Excuse me?" Mike didn't understand what she meant at all.

The girl was shocked for a while but the next moment, she burst out laughing. "Pfft. Hahahaha... Michaelangelo Strada. Who the hell gives a kid such a lame name?!! Hahaha! And who the hell gives the nickname 'Mike' to a child that should be given to 40-year-old guys!! Hahaha!!"

The girl laughed and rubbed the tears from her eyes and kept laughing. Somewhere, a certain old man and a certain Archangel that are close to Mike sneezed. They didn't know why but they felt a little bit insulted. As for Mike, he is not a fan of his name but someone saying it straight to his face was something else.

Mike tried to change the topic. "Umm... May I know who you are?" He asked. According to Mike's info, there should only be Baraqiel, his wife, and his daughter here. Mike already knew that the wife is a human and the daughter is a little girl. So, Mike is sure that this young woman with six raven wings is not one of them.
