Ch19: Heroes and True Longinus

(Flashback: Dimensional Gap: Year 2005: 1 year before the 3 rituals and 1 year after the fight with Incarnate Anthem)

Floating in the limitless gap as usual I was looking at the little sub space that was currently floating ahead, not that there was really any concept of direction here, even the space-time continuum is loose making it relatively hard to grasp the time, it can be accelerated or decelerated for an individual without a proper setup. As for the sub space, well it is more of an artificial dimension warped in purple-pink fog that is acting as both the pillar of support for the sub dimension and a protection of the chaotic stream of the Gap.

Feeling it a little more, I was pretty much sure this is the work of the Longinus Dimension Lost, and with what I am seeing right now, it is the current base of operation for the 'Hero' faction, with its leaders currently being Cao Cao, inheritor of the Three kingdom hero's spirit and weilder of the true longinus, George Faust, descendant and inheritor of said person and weilder of Longinus Dimensional Lost. Their relevant subordinates are Hercules, with an explosive sacred gear, Connla with a shadow manipulation sacred gear, Persus with the paralysing sacred gear and finally Marsilio with a sacred gear that traps its weilder in an illusion of a parallel world. There are some other people with various Sacred Gears, skills and abilities, though nothing special. It seems that Arthur haven't made contact with them yet.

As I pondered a little on what I want to do with them, I just decided to kill them all, as they serve no grand pupose in here. So I pulled my staff and Ascalon, coated and enchanted myself with Venom as I summoned NATRA-CINEREUS's fog to envelop this whole space to make sure no one can see or notice anything, even if it's in the Gap, as I don't want them calling for backup, or worse Indra noticing this and coming over. After that, I thought about how to go about this and had an idea.

And so, I summoned the person I was sure will be fit for this task. What appeared out of my shadow was a giant Dragon with three heads and six giant wings. He had very dark scales with a shade of purple. This is Aži Dahāka, also known as the Diabolism Thousand Dragon, a dragon who mastered over a thousand kind of magics. In the past, Aži Dahāka was created by Angra Mainyu and fought against the army of the Gods of the Zoroastrianism. He then fought and was defeated by the hero, Θraētaona.

I revived him using the grail and enchanted him as much as I could, enchanting his life force and regeneration, so that he can throw around Forbidden class magics without consequences. Now how do I ensure he doesn't betray me like he did with Rivezim? Simple, I actually didn't recreate his body, I only let him manifest in a vessel that is one of my beasts, so I can dismiss him any time i want, besides of course the fact that I control his soul, I also have Alphecca tryant used on him. He is now actually somewhat stronger than his canon counterpart, who was said to be as strong as Draig and Ablion in their primes. He is one of my only 3 Heavenly Dragon-class monsters, with Leviathen and another one. Looking at him, I said.

" Make sure to support this space as its about to lose its pillar of support, also don't let anyone detect either this place or you" to which he just growled and said.

" Hmph, what a childplay, and for the one who will try to slip out?" hearing the question, I just hummed and answered.

" Make short work of them, I don't want anything slipping from here" which made his grin turn savage as his eyes glowed. Soon tens of thousands of magical circles manifested around, either camouflaging this part of the Gap, ready to support this sub-dimension and locking the area to make sure nothing slips in or out. Seeing this I nodded and then used my familiars fog to slip through the space barrier.

Inside the Dimension Lost sub dimension, the hero faction, composed only of humans with various skills, from sacred gears, magic, Holy or demonic swords and the like, they were having their usual day, looking for recruits to invite, and if they decline, brainwash them. Training and honing their skills, and all the other business. Their headquarters looks more like a mini city with main building in the center being the place of meetings and where the higher echelon lives.

It was on such a normal day, that they suddenly felt power that suddenly appeared in their dimension. Looking above, they could see what looked like an angel with 2 halos and holding a holy sword. But the terrifying part was the 12 glowing wings that felt so saturated with some unknown type of power that they were twisting the world them.

Just as the residents were about to take action, the angel, Samuel's wings become ethereal as thousands of feathers filled to the brim with Telesma shot out and started carpet bombing the whole place, leaving no place untouched, which continued for a 10 seconds before he stopped and looked at the aftermath.

As some feathers continued to circle around him, he expanded 2 of his wings and flapped them to disperse the smoke and debris, to look at now completely destroyed city with bodies lingering around, he was able to see multiple barriers being erected in some places. As he sensed with his Senjetsu, close to 60% of the occupants died at this attack. Looking ahead, he could see a purple mist spreading around and manifesting 6 people, whom he was able to recognise as the strongest of the faction. Cao Cao, who looked quite enraged with some little injuries that he seemed to be healing with Senjetsu, shouted.

" What is the meaning of this?!? Why is a Seraph attacking this place! We have no grievance with you!" to which the answer was nothing, as the angel just kept floating and looking down on them. Understanding that it won't talk, Cao Cao, not looking back, just ordered.

" George, get everyone out of here, and prepare to support me with the others. We can't have him kill the rest of the recruits" after which he took a battle stance with the True Longinus in his hand. But hearing no confirmation, he and the others the looked behind them to see that George wasn't there. Quickly looking back, his heart sunk as he saw an unconscious George in the hand of their attacker, who seemed to put numerous seals upon him after which he absorbed him in a shadow. Cao Cao didn't think twice before shouting.

" Polar Night Longinus Chakravartin!" with its name invoked, the balance breaker materialised as a light halo behind him and seven identical orbs. Following his example, all the other menbers activated or summoned their Sacred Gears, before quickly having to defend from the hail of spells as lightning, water, light and dark attacks descended upon then in the thousands. Cao Cao seeing the attacks coming just said.

" Assaratana" making him appear in front of the angel and trying to pierce him with spear, only for him to block a slash from the sword attack which quickly sent him flying into the sky.

" Hathiratana" muttering this, he finally stopped and was able to levitate in place, just in time to see Hercules hit the angel with various rockets from his sacred gears, along the other menbers who survived and attacked with spells, beams or sacred gears, making a grand explosion. As soon as the smoke cleared, they were able to see angel, still in place with zero damage, not even his clothes.

Before Cao Cao was able to do anything, the angel waved a staff that appeared in his hands making numerous giant sequences of what he recognised as Nordic runes, after which the space started shaking and disentigrating and soon, they found themselves standing on a transparent dark-purple barrier which was isolating all the present from the kaleidoscope that is the dimensional gap. But their attention was all on the thing that was near the angel, a 6 winged black dragon with 3 heads with an aura that seemed stronger than even the angel himself.

" Please take care of this pests, no need to keep any alive, I will be taking care of that one over there " said the angel with a voice that Cao Cao couldn't recognise as either a male or a female. No, focusing on the angel, he realised that he can't actually 'see' any of its features. It was like there was a fog constantly blocking it. He was interrupted from his thoughts by the cruel laughter of the dragon who started breathing dark red flames towards his subordinates.

Before Cao Cao could jump in, he saw the angel throw a gigantic spear of light at him which he just blocked with one of his spheres while saying.

" Maniratana" making the orb absorb the attack before sending it hurling back as he accelerated towards his enemy, using the spear as a cover. Samael, seeing the light spear coming back just slapped it with one of his wings before parrying 2 orbs and and a slash from Cao Cao, after which he knocked him back a little and reinforced his body with ᛉᛏᚱᛜ before punching him. Cao Cao immediately blocked, but was suprised by the cheer power as he felt the bones in one of his arms snap even when he was reinforcing it with Touki. He teleported again away, from another strike as he thought.

' So Itthiratana and Cakkaratana didn't work, that means that he is not a woman as he didn't lose his abilities, and that sword is quite a powerful one since it didn't seem to even fracture a little.' Looking at his subordinates he could see that they are running out of time, as the Dragon has killed almost all except Hercules, Connla and Perseus. And they weren't doing any better, as the Dragon was just laughing and playing with them, shrugging off all their attacks like they were nothing and fighting them with just brute force. Seeing all this he decided to use his last trump card.

" Kahabateiratana" Saying so, warriors made of steel and light emerged as they charged at the angel before he started chanting

" O Spear. The true Holy Spear which pierces through God. Suck the ambition of the King of Domination sleeping within me and pierce through the gap of blessing and destruction.You. Announce the will, and turn into a glow." As he saw the warriors get destroyed by a single swipe, he just pointed his spear at his enemy and the glow started to intensify as it blinded almost everyone. After the glow disappeared, he saw the angel still there unharmed, quickly feeling his longinus, he was dumbfounded to see that the will of God decided to do absolutely nothing. Before he could think, he felt a presence appear behind him and, faster than he could react, cut his hand that was holding the spear. Letting out a pained hiss he quickly jumped back and watched the angel take the True Longinus, twirling it a little before muttering.

" System, do it" after which he saw the spear glow, quickly trying to retrieve it through their bond, he was struck with terror when he flet the connection was broken. Before he could even try to understand what was happening he suddenly found the world upside down as he saw his body still there standing, and soon nothing.

Looking at the decapitated body, Samuel just gave his new longinus some twirls before looking back at Azi Dahāka who already finished his work as one of the heads was munching on Hercules. He flapped his wings and arrived at one of their menbers, Perseus, and scanned body, and smiled when he took out a little jar which contains 2 special eyes that were emitting a strange power.

" Medusa's eyes, huh. Well that's the end of our business here I guess. Dahāka, if you would please" to which the dragon just smiled and unleashed dozens of forbidden class magic, destroying everything in this place, time and space included, so that even when someone tried to look at the past or rewind time here, they wouldn't find anything. Feeling all this, Samuel let out a content sigh before dispersing Azi Dahāka, letting him sink in the shadows before teleportating.

After the mist of NATRA-CINEREUS dispersed by 5 seconds, a Hindu teleportation circle appeared, and from it appeared a man with a buzz-cut hairstyle with greenish brown hair color and lavender eyes. He wears circular sunglasses, an aloha shirt, and has a jewel around his neck when in his leisure. Looking around and feeling absolutely nothing, nor even with his clairvoyance, the man said.

" Cheh, this is ridiculous. Was this Krishna or Shiva? Only someone on their league could do this" said Indra, the Lord of Heaven and the god of war in the Hindu pantheon, and the secret supporter of the Hero Faction. He felt his connection to his little project as well as one of his treasures being cut. Looking around, he was certain that someone very very strong, was here and they are trying to stay in secret.

" Heh, we will meet soon in the end, after all, Karma always have to paid" Saying so he disappeared from this place.

(Dimendional Gap: Floating Fortress Babel)

Looking at the spear in my hand and feeling a the information translated to me, I was actually stunned silly at the power of it.

The True Longinus is a strange type of Sacred Gear, atleast compared to other Sacred Gears. The strange thing about this Sacred Gear is how easy it is to branch out Subspecies Balance Breakers from it. Fuse a treasure with the divinity and blessing of a God, that's all needed to cast a Subspecies Balance Breaker. Of course, the vanilla True Longinus has a Balance Breaker of its own as well, and it is accessible for use by me as well. The True Longinus was known as the strongest Sacred Gear specifically due to the power of Balance Breaker.

Back then when God of the Bible wasn't dead yet, no Sacred Gear could manifest Balance Breaker abilities. Except one, the True Longinus. Currently, every Sacred Gear had a Balance Breaker mode. But still, entering Balance Breaker was hard, period. As the wielder of the True Longinus, I was capable of using Balance Breaker mode. No training, soul searching or life and death battles required, that's cheaty enough, isn't it?

Now, the True Longinus has three classified abilities.

[Sacred Gear Mode] – Spear-type weapon, form can be freely changed. Abnormal Anti-Devil suppression ability. As the baseline form, stays constant no matter which direction the True Longinus evolves in.

[Balance Breaker Mode] – Varies according to Subspecies. That's all that can be said.

[Truth Idea] – Can create miracles, relies on the (Dying) Will of God. Naturally, differs according to Subspecies.

The first and original Subspecies Balance Breaker used by Cao Cao is the one I know about the most. The 'Sapta Ratana' jewel, well, that is Sanskrit for 'Seven Treasures', is a treasure on par with Durandal. Blessed with Indra's divinity, merging it with the True Longinus grants the Subspecies Balance Breaker, Polar Night Longinus – Chakravartin.

Sapta Ratana, meaning Seven Treasures, granting Seven Divine Abilities.

Cakkaratana: Also known as the Wheel Treasure, has the ability to destroy weapons.

Itthiratana: Also known as the Female Treasure, completely stops the special ability of women for a short time.

Assaratana: Also known as the Horse Treasure, has the ability to teleport a person the orb touches. It can also be used on Cao Cao himself, allowing him to teleport to the place of his choice.

Maniratana: Also known as the Pearl Treasure, has the ability to send an attack sent towards the user to another direction.

Hatthiratana: Also known as the Elephant Treasure, grants the wielder the ability to lift up what the orb touches

Gahapatiratana: Also known as the Householder Treasure, creates warrior-like existences and acts in the same way as Kiba's Blade Blacksmith Balance Breaker: Blade Knight Mass.

Parinayakaratana: Also known as the General Treasure, a strong attack with high destructive powers. The strongest ability of the seven. It seems to have some sort of restriction on how often it can be used.

Chakravartin has a [Truth Idea] based ability as well. It can be equated to a mass brainwashing ability. Actually, it works by using abnormal charisma to temporarily affect the judgement and dispositions of weaker troops. As a Subspecies Balance Breaker, Chakravartin is very versatile. But it is lacking a hard defensive ability. Also, some abilities are useless unless in specific situations, Teleportation is possible for every decent mage.

Now, The original True Longinus balance breaker has its uses, and its most useful power is its passive defensive ability. [Seamless Tunic, Robe of Christ], Attacks based on the powers of Devils, Fallen Angels and Angels will be drastically reduced in force, making the weilder a nemesis to almost all of the 3 factions and creatures of similar nature.

Finally, the [Truth Idea] ability. Basically, it is willpower. I don't know the full scope of it, but the primary benefit is that I will never be waylaid by negative emotions. Weaksauce as it seems, I am a user of Senjutsu, and getting the ability to ignore negative emotions will help me a lot. Like, jump to Nekoshou level of Senjutsu talent, lot. Also, it have the immense if benefit of actually warding of the negative side effects Qlipoth, albeit not completely, but enough to actually make me able to use it at full power and have access to the knowledge in it.

Although, there is of course the ability to generate miracles, unlike Dimension Create or Boosted Gear, the True Longinus didn't factor the wielder's strength when it unleashed its power. Even an untrained child, if he managed to gain the acknowledgement of the [Remnant Will of God], would instantly gain power capable of tangling with Satans. Fundamentally, the True Longinus has absolute dominion over Light. And so, the fundamental ability of the True Longinus is similar to the power of Angels – Light Energy Manipulation. Using Light Energy to attack, defend, heal, agility would come naturally to its weilder, A.K.A me, though that is useless since I am already an angel.

But there is actually quite the useful power in the normal balance breaker of the true longinus. See the Balance Breaker ability is founded on the holy artifact [Seamless Tunic], the robe that Jesus Christ wore until it was stripped before his crucifixion and [Shroud of Turin] – the burial shroud he was wrapped in after crucifixion. And so, it comes with one of the most famous miracles associated with it, resurrection. After death, my body should not be completely destroyed or have the majority of parts eaten. After three days, I will automatically revive, all injuries healed. It doesn't matter even if I didn't use the Seamless Tunic before I died. But there us a catch for this ability, to use it, the weilder must have either access to the 3 holy relics, or gain the loyalty of their wielders. And for me, well that is already established.

Now for the [Truth Idea], from the name, you should understand that it is a willpower based ability. Apart from the famous ability to slay Gods, there is also a lesser known ability that is easier to use. Most wielders manifested it as a brainwashing type ability, ranging from those who could make Devils slaves to their wills, to those who could use charisma to control armies, to those who could simply brainwash a large amount of people. Now, the True power of the [Truth Idea], originally, the ability should allow you to tap into the Biblical God's Divine Power using the principle of Jesus Christ's Divine Parentage.

Using a God's power to kill Gods. But the Heaven's System's degradation has made using that ability pretty much impossible.

Knowing all of this actually helps a lot, as I can finally reach the realm of Super-class beings. With all of holy relics and the remnants of the will of God, I will probably need around a year to have a complete understanding of the sacred gear and optimize the ritual and the System. After all, I plan to strike 3 birds with one stone. Using the remnants of God to perform one last miracle, that is repair of the Heaven's system, but with me as an 'administrator' of sort, because i can't replace God, nor do I want to, as that will tie me to this world too much for my liking. And with the reboot of the system, I will just ride over the ridiculous amalgamation of energies, concepts and repairs to achieve the levels I want. Sounds sime in theory, but I will be facing the will of God at the end of the day.
