24 Chapter 24

"I guess she really is the descendant of Leviathan." Damian muttered quietly as he stepped out of the rapidly disintegrating magic circle below his feet. Looking over his surroundings it would be a lie to say he wasn't impressed.

They were over a dozen kilometers below the ground and the building was no different than the greatest of mansions he had seen. He would even go as far as to say that the Gremory mansion was worse than the building he was currently in.

The building was slightly outdated but that gave its own charm in a way. It was also helped by the random artifacts from thousands of years ago that Damian would rarely get to see in his lifetime.

"You sound surprised Damian-chan☆." The ever childish voice of Serafall Leviathan resounded into his ears. Unlike her usual more formal attire that he usually saw her in she was currently wearing her famed pink magical girl outfit.

"Of course I am Lady Serafall. I may have known about it but, as they say, seeing is believing." Damian retorted calmly as he looked around. This was only one of many of the Leviathan estates that Serafall had inherited though this was certainly one of the more well hidden among them.

"You're going to make me more curious about you if you keep saying vague things like that Damian-chan☆!" Serafall said excitedly, her eyes clearly analyzing each of his words. She had heard about him from Ajuka and her dear So-tan but meeting him in person was different.

There was an obvious sense of maturity surrounding him which fit well with his body type but what really made him strange was his eyes. He saw something that she didn't and he was running toward it. Sadly, she had no idea what he was chasing.

"Just ask Ajuka, he probably knows at this point." Damian replied without care as he walked toward a painting on the wall. It was the ancient version of a selfie between the original Leviathan and Heracles.

"I did but he didn't tell me anything☆!" Serafall whined loudly in annoyance. She had asked him as she was interested in Damian and Ajuka's confidence in his ability to find them but she got exactly nothing in return!

"I can't say I'm surprised." Damian replied calmly, not bothering to mention her small tantrum. He was somewhat relieved that Ajuka didn't start revealing his secrets though. Damian may not care if it's discovered but if possible he'd like the people that know to be extremely limited to save him from the hassle. Of course, he didn't have to explain that to Ajuka.

Damian wasn't quite sure what conclusion Ajuka had reached but considering the 'clues' he had left behind either purposefully or not the Satan probably wasn't too far off. The fact that he hadn't revealed it meant that he understood the risks involved. Besides, it didn't take a genius to understand that the future would no longer be the future when it was common knowledge.

"I take it Sona isn't here in case things go wrong?" Damian asked her while walking through the halls, pausing to take a look at various paintings and other impressive decorations every now and then. It was interesting to see the original Leviathan act so differently than she was portrayed.

Of course, Damian knew better than to trust the objects in her home as credible sources. She wouldn't have something that would paint her in a bad light on her walls where anybody could see them.

'She was one ruthless lady.' Damian thought to himself, remembering a snippet from a history book he read before. The original Satans were all extremely destructive during the holy war but Leviathan in particular thrust entire countries under the sea and drowned thousands of innocents.

"You're smart Damian-chan☆." Serafall sincerely praised him, slowly following behind him while humming a small tune. They both had plenty of time since Serafall was able to essentially take the day off. She basically forced all her work on Fabian for the day but it was fine.

Humming in response to her praise Damian followed the demonic energy traveling throughout the building toward its source. The sleeping disease affected the physical body via the soul so to ensure the person's safety a steady supply of demonic energy is required to keep their lifeforce levels stable.

"If you were to be suddenly woken up after over one hundred years in an unfamiliar location and soon found out you were now somebody's slave what would you do?" Damian spoke up, his calm voice breaking the musical silence.

"Calling them a slave isn't nice☆!" Serafall scolded him like an older sister would, however, a deep frown appeared on her face a moment after. "But… I can't imagine it would be pleasant." She continued sorrowfully.

"Probably not." Damian agreed calmly, swinging open a large door that hid away his first comrade in arms. It was slightly concerning that he was stealing away the Oppai Dragon's queen but he had thrown away such worries years ago.

The room was a large hexagon over thirty meters in diameter. All along the floor ran thick grey wiring that pulsated with a purple glow every few seconds connected to a large white box with a glass roof in the center reminiscent of a coffin.

Walking up to the coffin without hesitation Damian looked through the glass, no visible emotion in his eyes as he took in the 'last' remaining descendant of an original Satan, one with a Longinus at that.

"Man, you two sure are fate's children aren't you." Damian muttered to himself in amusement. Two descendants of the original Satans with infinite potential paired with a dragon related Longinus. The author may have wanted to make a parallel between the two but in this world it was no different than Fatum himself favoring them.

"Two☆?" Serafall quietly murmured however Damian ignored it. It was doubtful they'd get anything out of it and even if they did it wouldn't really change anything. There were plenty of ways to interpret his words and even if they found the correct one it didn't matter since Vali, or rather the White Dragon Emperor, was already known to be allied with the Grigori.

"Let's talk for a bit Ingvild." Damian muttered quietly, his hand firmly planting itself on the glass surface above her chest.
