12 The Second Night
At 7 AM Remilia wakes up and looks at the window hoping the sunrise but.. it's still night so she sighs in disappointment and gets up looking at the closet in that room not finding anything to wear but some shorts. so she wears them while keeping her top on and she walks out of the room and looks around but doesn't sense any movements so she goes to the bathroom which is next to Ren's Room only to find Anna coming out of the Ren's room completely naked, she blushes badly looking at her thinking of all perverted stuff that might have happened between Anna and Ren then she raises a brow "that sure escalated too quickly for two who just met" Anna tilts her head innocently and cluelessly about what Remilia is suggesting then she walks towards the other room to wear her clothes.
Remilia then peeks inside Ren's Room only to see him sleeping there shirtless so she assumes something happened between them and she chuckles mischievously "Ren you dirty fiend acting all cold and innocent earlier then fooling this girl to get into her pants...tsk tsk shame on you"
Remilia then walks to the living area where they left the backpack and starts looking for something to eat then she takes out a beer and chocolate bar and starts eating it up and drinking the beer.
Anna, all dressed now, Joins her in the living room and sits down on couch looking at Remilia as she drinks and eats up, Remilia realizes how unpolite she is being and holds the backpack taking out the milk that Ren picked earlier and some cookies she picked and offers them to Anna.
Anna smiles and takes the milk and cookies and gulps up the milk and eat the cookies in voracious hunger. Remilia realizes Anna must have not eaten in a long time so she starts feeling bad for her. Anna finishes up her meal and thanks Remilia and crosses up her legs quietly.
"you can thank Ren for the milk, it was his choice i only picked the cookies" Remilia responds.
Anna blinks innocently then nods and stays quiet.
"So Anna..." Remilia says trying to break the ice awkwardly.
Anna looks at Remilia curiously.
"what do you think about him?" Remilia asks Anna about Ren thinking they are a thing.
"huh? about Ren you mean?" she asks Remilia clueless of what Remilia is referring to or what she is asking the question.
"yea about Ren" Remilia responds as she smirks.
Anna's face turns all serious and her attitude turns all mature for a minute as she responds "he's an interesting human."
Remilia raises a brow as she expected a more girly response or attitude.
Anna then looks at Remilia with narrowing eye for a minute and Remilia feels a bit strange as the catgirl stares at her "something wrong,Anna?" she says in a bit scared tone of voice.
Anna shakes her head turning back to normal and smiling then meows.
it throws off Remilia but before she reacts Ren goes into the room rubbing his head.
"what with all the noise?" he says as he yawns.
Remilia giving him the "i know what you did" look and Anna looking at him all happily.
he gets surprised at how active they seem despite not seeing the sun while he is actually tired.
"Ren can i speak with you for a minute?" Remilia says seriously
"ah sure" he tries to hide the fact he knows what she wants to talk about.
they both go to Remilia's room and Remilia closes the door and locks it
"is that necessary?" Ren chuckles at how cautious she is being
"this whole Anna thing doesn't sit right with me, Ren" she looks at him in seriousness
he sighs "look.. Rem i know there are a lot of mysteries Regarding her, but i assure you she is not a threat to us"
"what makes you so sure?" she crosses her arms
"its just a hunch..." he responds as he avoids looking at her
"look Ren, i only met you yesterday but i could tell what kind of a person you are"
he looks at her a little confused
"you definitely didn't seem like a guy who would act anything but rationally"
"..but now you might be bringing danger to our doorstep and acting all gullible" she frowns a little worried.
he stays quiet knowing all what she says is true and that he knows more than her than it's out of his character to go out of his way like that.
"i don't know what know what sort of shameful thing you have for cats Ren, but you will take responsibility if she causes us any trouble" says Remilia referring to what she thinks happened between Ren and Anna.
The pressure Remilia is putting on Ren makes his thoughts take a darker direction, analyzing her actions of being that of a girl who is just using his rationality to protect herself, but then he sighs remembering they aren't more than allies and that they both use each other to survive anyway.
"i am not sure what you are trying to imply, but i will take responsibility for the consequences.." he responds nonchalantly as he looks away.
unable to resist his urge to counter Remilia's pressure, Ren bursts out at her "but you know Rem, you have your secrets as well"
Remilia starts feeling this might backfire at her but she stands firm
"what are you trying to say?"
"i am just saying that we all have our own secrets so let's not pry"
"The fact you know a lot about guns and happened to run to a room that has so many weapons at the hotel are not coincidental, yet i didn't choose to pressure you." he adds
she looks away starting to get his point but acts stubbornly "are you trying to turn this against me now?"
"no, i just don't like it when people act with lack of awareness of their own situation" he says with a serious face.
"but anyway Rem, i told you i am going to take responsibility for the consequences of my own choices"
"hmm Good" she still feels a little awkward about his twisting it back against her but she tries to lighten up the mood before she escapes the situation, "oh word of advice Ren ..use protection next time, we are in an apocalyptical world now anyway" she says as she smirks unlocking the door and going out of the room.
"huh?! protection?" he tilts his head confused not knowing what she is talking about.
