1 Beginnings part 1

"London. such a beautiful city, it's a shame we have to destroy some of it. think of all the shops I could have bought from." said a girl on top of the Shard, with wind blowing to the east and sounds of traffic echoing from below. Her long blonde hair was put in a single ponytail. Holding this ponytail was a very exquisite and costly hair piece. It took the form of a dragon and coiled around her hair as if it were a snake, and emeralds embedded in it took the shape of eyes. The body, made of pure gold, had scales all down it's Back and on the feet, three talons made of ceramic that looked sharp enough to cut metal. Her black dress had been embroided with red lace and at the bottom of the dress are white frills that shook in the wind carrying the dress with it. Then, as if like magic, a person appeared beneath her holding their head down. He had blue spiky hair and clutched the top of the building so he doesn't fall to the streets below. "Is it time already?" the mysterious girl asked with a disturbing smile. She licked hee lips, as if a succulent steak was just places in front of her. Then, like an acrobat, she jumped off the building and gave a sadistic laugh.

"Fuck sake! I'm late again, I really don't want another detention either" exclaimed a boy of 16 years old. "Don't forget the rubbish Kai!" a woman shouted from a room encompassed in smoke. The stench of alcohol and drugs eminated from it, churning his stomach. His dad had left him a few years ago, with another woman, and his mother turned to alcohol, drugs and abusing her child to compensate for that loss. So, like a normal day, Kai started with the chores and then went to school. However, when walking out the door, he finds a line of familiar people waiting to go in and see his mom. They were also addicts and alcoholics that don't care about their children. Kai looked in disgust and started running to school, even though he knew he would be late anyway. On the way he revised his timetable for the subjects he will have. First it's English, 'creative writing isn't that bad' Kai thought to himself. It then went on to Geography, maths, science, and finally Hospitality and catering. Kai loved this, it was the only way he could escape the world he is in. Well, that and his girlfriend who lives in another part of the country.

It started raining. Kai's short, curly brown hair was like a mop by the time he got to school. His white uniform was also soaking. only the books in his bag were dry. A teacher, with a towel and umbrella, stood outside. It was his P.E. teacher. The only teacher to know and care about his situation. The umbrella and towel was thrown at Kai, and the teacher started walking into the school. "Hurry and get changed, you will help me with my lessons until your cloths dry." A smile formed on Kai's face and he bolted to the changing rooms. He didn't bring his P.E. kit so he had to borrow some from the school office. On the way back he was met by the principle who gave him a detention for being late. A few lessons passed and kai's uniform had dried. He was sent off to his fourth lesson, science. He hated it, mainly because the principle taught it. 'At least I sit next to Rosie and Maddie' he thought to himself. Despite this, Kai concluded he would he would walk slowly to his lesson, so he wastes part of the lesson. Finally, he got to his lesson but it was only a quarter of the way through. He walked in to the class to be greeted with smiles from Rosie and Maddie, his two friends. However, all he got from the principle was a hateful glare. He then sat down in between his friends and started working.

The rain hadn't let up yet and Kai was still imprisoned in science. "It's not all that bad" Rosie said, trying to comfort him. "At least we're learning about biology instead of physics." He nodded his head while forcing a smile. He was thinking of his girlfriend, and what subject she has now. He remembers her smile and how it warms him in this cold, cruel world. He also remembers how how she feels about the world and only cares for him, disregarding anyone else. She was like him, hating the world and everyone on it. Even their friends. 'That is probably the reason why we love each other so much, because we understand each other' he thought to himself. Suddenly a bolt of lightning shattered the windows and a huge rumble of thunder followed. A group of cloaked people swooped in with great elegance, but drew swords and pointed them at the students. "WHAT DO Y-" the principle was cut off mid sentence. His head slid of his shoulders, it had been cut clean off. It took a while before blood started to gush , like a water fountain, out of his limp body all over the room and people in it. Kai, however, continued his work. Though it was difficult due to the blood all over his book and desk. Rosie, Maddie and all the other students in the class started to scream, creating a harmonious symphony of terror with the rest of the school, and part of London. A man, with spiked blue hair, stepped out the shadows while sheathing his sword that didn't have a drop of blood on it. "If you not listen to us, you will die... okay" the man said "oh pardon my English, it is bit rusty." Kai continued his work, even though he himself was covered in blood.

"Now put bags there, stand there" The man yelled while others point their swords still. Everyone moved, except from Kai; the blue spiked haired man walked towards him and slammed his foot on the scarlet desk. He stared for a second and then said "What do you think you are doing!" He lifted his hand and went to slap Kai, but Kai grabbed his sleeve and threw the man over his shoulder, dislocating one of the attackers arms. The room fell silent and Kai grabbed a pen. "what is your name?" he asked the man, who was laying on the ground in pain. "It's Ken" a frightened voice replied. "see you in hell" Kai said, plunging the pen into Ken's right eye. screams of agony filled the room with terror adding to the symphony.

Blood and fluid from the eye decorated the floor. Kai's face created a slight grin, sending chills down Rosie's and Maddies's back. He then went to burrow the pen in Ken's left eye, but a hand stopped him. It was a girl. She had long blonde hair in a single ponytail and a black dress with red lacing and white frills. "I think that's enough, don't you?" said the girl "what is your name?" Kai, standing up, replied with "Kai, what about you?" The girl giggled and said "It's Miya, Miya Akamine and we're vampires". "Wow, bold statement" commented Kai "But you have no proof, why don't you turn me? Then I'll believe you." "How dare you!" one of the cloaked attackers shouted, stepping forward to attack Kai. "Wait!" Akamine exclaimed, putting her hand out to halt the attack. "Fine, but you will have to bite me too so you become a full vampire and not a fledgling." Kai grinned and said "Deal" without hesitation. The girl, of about 17, then lunged forward with immense speed and suddenly appeared behind him. "Hold still now" she said biting into his shoulder, and their cheeks becoming red. A little tear of blood escaped her fangs and ran down his body. "Hey! Get off him!" Shouted Rosie, and then charged at the two. Suddenly, a man of about 6 foot pins her against the wall and tore out her gut. Rosie's mouth started to foam and screams could not be heard. She wasn't dead yet though. The man then ripped her right arm off and threw it towards the vampires who were cloaked. They all jumped on it, devouring it in seconds. Even though they could escape, the students didn't. They couldn't. Their bodies were frozen stiff. "You humans are so fragile" said the tall man. He wore a suit that was the same design as Akamine's and a top hat with green ribbon wrapped around the bottom. His eyes were pure red and trapped the soul of any wondering eyes. "Are you finished yet darling?" asked the tall, well dressed man. Miya then pushed away from Kai and took a breath of fresh air. "Yes farther" she said wiping blood of her cheek with her sleeve. "Don't forget we made a deal" Kai said, and then pounced on Akamine, sinking his teeth into her shoulder. Maddie then saw an opening, while everyone was in shock, and then ran. "How did this happen?" Maddie asked, coughing up blood. She had just been impaled by a lamppost outside. Miya's farther had kicked her out the window, and then threw Rosie along with her. Kai then let go and freed Miya. Her face was a bright red, the floor beneath a little wet. The look of shock plastered on her face. "You should be in excruciating pain and not be able to move" said Akamine's farther, but Kai was asleep. "Looks like we need to find him someone to eat, so he can survive and gain more power" Miya said, still sat on the ground. Her farther smiled and helped her up. "My Lord Tyke, we have destroyed half the city, including the port" said a masked person coming through the broken window. "Good we shall retreat back to the manor then, and get up son for fuck sake, I know your not dead" commanded Lord Tyke. The blue, spiky haired man stood up and said "But that actually hurt farther" while starting to follow the attackers out the window.
