9 same difference

A few days ago, I fell down the stairs.

I didn't run downstairs or was in a rush to go down.

I was wearing socks and my right foot just slipped across the carpeted stairs and I fell.

I fell hard on my back. I landed on my butt first, then hit my back, and then hit the back of my head.

I must have bounced back up because I was then sitting upright on my bruised butt. I had yelped in pain but I couldn't even scream out loud because it happened so fast and the pain was so great.

You know when people experience a near-death-experience, they say that they see their lives flash by before their eyes.

Well, I didn't.

But I saw all the things that I was holding in my hands (wallet, phone, pen, pouch, lipstick, bobby pins) fly out of my hands and land all over the stairs.

And it was so weird. Like the fall took, a minimum of 5 seconds but I'm pretty sure those things that flew out of my hands were in the air for at least a good minute. The way they just flew into the air was similar to how confetti would be thrown to surprise someone for their birthday or something.

I mean, I guess...same difference.

I was surprised...

Luckily, the carpet saved me from getting a concussion or something much worse.

But my butt still has a huge bruise and it still hurts every time I sit down or even when I lie on my back. My neck and shoulders are pretty sore as well.

The things that happen to me...

Well, at least my life didn't flash before my eyes.
