14 Chapter 14: Festival starts.

Accompanied by the sound of footsteps two people appeared within the pavilion‚ as one of them sat down‚ and the other stood guard.

The one who sat down looked at Feng Mei who was lazily gazing down at the pond.

"Brother Feng‚ We are grateful that you lead us till here but after the village summer end festival‚ I have decided with Cai‚ that we will leave this village and head out into the wilderness‚ to search for the path leading towards the treasure.

I hope at that time brother Mei will choose to come along‚ and even if we go on our own separate paths‚ I hope that brother Feng Mei and us can still be on good terms" With a face full of expectations‚ Fu ya said in a light tone.

Feng Mei turned over and with an emotionless face silently stared at Fu ya for a while‚ tensing the situation as if a huge fight was going to start‚ suddenly smiled and said

"Don't worry‚ we don't need to split up at all".

After staying together for days‚ Feng Mei had built up some Goodwill for these four peoples.

"That's something only time will tell"‚ Cai assertively said back.

Feng Mei heard Cai philosophical words and just lazily smiled with closed eyes‚ as the voice of his system resounded saying that he only 15000 experience points to break the array.

Fu ya stood up and went inside the courtyard‚ toward her room‚ entered it and slept. Cai naturally followed her and stood guard outside her room.

Feng Mei didn't need to sleep and would still be healthy and fine‚ even if he remains awake for three days‚ as he was merely a layer away from high-level physical tempering cultivation.

He sleeps because he could never let go of his life habits!

Night passed and soon another day began.

Feng Mei and others were invited to the village chief residence for dinner. Pretty soon crackling laughter accompanied by voices of different people talking loudly echoed out of the main courtyard of the village chief household.

"Hahahaha" laughter's caused due to happiness could be heard‚ coming from a middle-aged woman sitting on a chair‚ near a dining table‚ inside a wooden house.

The house was huge having multiple courtyards and looked ancient‚ build in a square shape with a thatch roof‚ supported by wooden poles covered in beautiful petals and flower designing.

The table was covered with small to big size plates and bowls‚ upon which laid delicious food made of multiple types of beast meat and vegetables.

"Little Feng‚ here have some more of these dumplings" said the middle-aged women to Feng Mei.

"Thanks‚ aunty Liu," said the young man

Multiple people's used their chopstick to pick up the food and place it in their mouth as they munched on it fastly and repeated the action while talking and chatting‚

"Little Feng and little ya is really a blessing send from heavens‚ without them how hard it would be to survive this calamity for us!" said Aunty Liu.

"Little ya and little Feng surely are a blessing send from heaven to help in our misery‚ without them a lot of families wouldn't have been able to survive the upcoming winter," said a middle-aged face man with some wrinkles around his eyes.

He sat upon a luxurious seat at the head of the table‚ the man face looked relieved and free of worries.

"Uncle zhang‚ Helping a person is a good deed‚ and we love to perform them! right Gard brothers?" said Feng Mei and the three guards nodded their head while saying "it is our duty"

"Since we are living in the village and the villager faced a problem we are bound to help them," said Fu ya in a righteous tone as Cai nodded his heads and said while looking at uncle zhang "Our young miss is generous‚ it is a blessing for your village that she decided to reside here"

Uncle zhang and aunty Liu nodded their heads toward them and once again thanked them.

"Servants"‚ Uncle zhang said while signaling them to do something‚ the servant moved out and soon came back with pieces of jewelry and luxurious silk clothes‚

"I specifically prepared these clothes and accessories for brother Feng‚ Miss ya have already declined us‚ but told us that you merely had one set of clothes‚ brother Mei can wear these for the village festival"

"Many Thanks‚ uncle zhang" Saying this Feng Mei extended his hand and accepted the clothes and jewelry.

The village festival was going to start‚ two hours before dusk‚ Feng Mei changed his wear and dressed up in luxurious clothes and jewelry‚ looking like a handsome prince.

Fu ya also took her high-quality luxurious clothes for herself and Cai from her Jade hairpin. While the other three guards merely wore what they usually wore.

The entire village was cleaned of any speck of dust‚ as everyone dressed up in their most expensive clothes and started walking toward the northern area of (Ju Hua) chrysanthemum village.

Feng Mei and others reached the Northern area of the village and saw‚ a huge Fire-pit and dozens of woods placed within it.

In the middle and four large bonfire with the huge beast in front of them being roasted. The villagers cut the beast into multiple parts ‚ roasting the meat and adding different spices and giving them to others.

People ate meat accompanied by wine and fruit juices.

Medical sound drifted out the northern part of the village‚ as some peoples were playing drums and zither‚ while sitting on a cushion placed on the ground‚ as the chrysanthemum flowers slowly reached peak blossom.

They sat down viewing and admiring the beauty of nature and soon the chrysanthemum petals decorated the lake in different colors.
