13 Chapter Twelve

Aiden

I was so close.

I wanted to kiss her so bad. And, I almost got the chance. I don't know why I wanted to kiss her as bad as I did, because I've never wanted to kiss anyone that bad before.

Just seeing her after a whole month of staying away from her... I guess, it just showed me that I don't want to stay away for any longer. We have some kind of connection. Something pulls me to her.

I don't know. Maybe, I'm crazy.

I head into the kitchen after looking in the living room for Darcy-who called my name when I was about to kiss my Bambi.

"Hey, what's up?" I greeted her once I walk through the door.

She turns to look at me with a smile. "You didn't come home last night. Your mom gave me this address and said you might be here."

Sighing, I say, "Did you need some thing?"

She nods, quickly. "Duh! Your mom needs to speak to us."

"Uh.. Okay. I'll meet you back at the house. I've gotta change real quick." I tell her.

She looks me over and smirks. "Sure but, you look fine like that."

I chuckle. "Go home, I'll be there soon after."

Darcy and I have gotten pretty close since she started living with my us. If I'm not at the beach with those girls or thinking about Bambina, I'm hanging out with Darcy. She seemed annoying at first but, now she's pretty cool.

Plus, my friends seem to have taken a liking to her.

After I hear the door shut, I run up the stairs quickly. I open the door to where Bambina is relaxing.

"Hey.." I say awkwardly, ribbing the back of my neck.

She looks up and smiles as if that almost kiss didn't affect her in any way. It probably didn't..

"Hey... why are you so nervous?" She asks me.

I clear my throat and try to play it off. "It's just.. I have to leave again. My mom needs to speak to me about something."

It isn't why I'm nervous but, it's not a lie.

"Okay, but before you go, do you have anything I could do while your gone?" She asks me.

I think for a second before nodding. I walk into the room I claimed, and change back into my clothes. I unhooked my Xbox and bring it back into Bambina's room.

"Here," I hand her the Xbox remote before hooking the Xbox up to her TV. "Try not to get the controller wet. I point out all the buttons for her. "This is how you shoot.. Aim.. Knife.." I tell her before showing her how to set the game up.

"Thanks, Aiden." She says with a beautiful smile.

"I'll be back as soon as I can."

I kiss the top of her head before leaving the room.

The reason I still basically live here, is because my mom freaked when I told her I bought me a house. She said that I was supposed to keep Darcy company and that it's either I live here or she stays there. Considering I bought the house for Bambina, I didn't think the latter was a good idea so I just go there to be alone.

I walk into the house and into the family room where my mom and Darcy are talking.

"Hey, guys, what's up?" I let them know I've arrived.

"Hey, sweety. Sit. We all need to talk." My mom orders me.

I sit down on the chair in front of my mom. She doesn't say anything at first.

"Hey, Mary." A man walks in.

"Daddy!" Darcy jumps up and runs up to the man and wraps her arms around him.

He ruffles her hair before kissing her forehead. "Hey, dollface."

"Good. Now that we're all here, we have something to talk to you two about. We font want you to get upset or angry.."

"What is it, mom?" I ask her since I have somewhere else to be.

She looks up at the man with a smile before turning back to us.

"Well, David and I are getting married! And we thought we should all go out and celebrate!" My mom announces excitedly.

Married? Since when did she start dating? And why didn't she tell me about him sooner?

I look over at Darcy, who is clapping in excitement. I force on a smile for the two of them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely excited for my mom but, I'm really disappointed she didn't feel the need to tell me she was dating. Or at least trust that I would be okay with it. I'm more upset that they dated so long it turned into an engagement and I had no clue.

"That's great, you guys." I tell them.

"So, where should we celebrate?" Darcy chirps in.

They talk it over but, I'm left with my thoughts. As much as I'm happy my mom's happy, I could help but to be pretty upset. And not because of the marriage because, it is what it is. But today is probably the only day I can hang out with Bambina in the day time yet I'll still only be able to tonight. And after a month of staying away from her, today was a big deal for me.

"So its decided. Red lobster it is." My mom confirmed.

Next step, buy Bambina a phone so that if this ever happens again I don't have to leave her hanging.

She's probably mad at me for this and she'll be even more mad when I don't show up until later.

I wish people wouldn't try to study her if they found out. Then I could've asked her to come with me.
