32 Chapter Thirty-One

Aqua and Aquarius have lost their minds. I like Aiden, yes. But, love? Well, honestly, I'm not really sure. How am I supposed to know if they're right? But, it doesn't matter tonight. Because tonight is all about Hazel.

So after leaving Aquarius, I swam to the shore, waiting to get out of the water. As soon as my tail turned to legs, I started walking toward the house but something caught my eye by the rock I usually sit if Aiden has company. I walk over to see a neatly folded pile of clothes sitting on the rock with a letter on top of it.

We have company. Just knock. See you soon, beautiful. -A

I set the letter down and quickly get dressed. I suppose I should go to the front door to knock because when Aiden usually has company, that's the door they go to. So I walk quickly toward the front door and look around to see if anyone was out. They weren't so I was in the clear. Once I get to the front door, I knock three times.

"Who's here? A womans voice I've never heard before asks.

" I hope its Bambi!" I heard Hazel squeal with excitement.

"Hazel, Bambi isn't real, you silly girl." The woman speaks once again.

I hear Aiden chuckle, the sound being closer to the door. The door opens to reveal Aiden with a smile on his face.

"Hey, beautiful." He leans down to give me a hug to whisper some thing in my ear. "Glad you saw my note."

I smile up at him when he pulls away and he steps aside so that I can walk in.

Hazel's eyes light up with excitement as she runs over to give me a hug.

"Mom, this is Bambina." Aiden introduces me to the woman.

I could definitely see where Aiden got his looks from. She looks like the female version of him.

"Nice to meet you, Bambina. I'm Aiden's mom but you can call me Sarah." She smiles as I take her hand. "I just wanted to get a few things but now that I've got them, I'll see you in about forty-five minutes?"

Aiden agrees before his mom walks out the door. He then turns to me with a smile. I smile back before going upstairs to shower and change. I decided on a pair of high waisted skinny jeans and a burgandy crop top with burgandy sneakers. I grabbed my phone and texted Kelsie to help me do my hair and makeup. I know that I have to learn eventually but that's only if I need to after these couple of months. No point in learning something if you will never be able to do it.

She agrees and about five minutes later, I hear a knocking on my bedroom door.

I open the door to see Kelsie holding up her makeup bag.

"That was fast." I say.

She shrugs. "I was at the park."

I nod as I sit down so that she could do my makeup. She did a very natural look to my face then straightened my hair, letting it flow down my back.

It didn't even take her long to do it. We talked for a few minutes and I wanted to tell her a out my crush on Aiden but really, she's his friend. I'm just her friends mermaid. So, surely she'd tell him. So, I didn't say anything. I thanked her before she says goodbye then I walk down the stairs to find Aiden. He was dressed very nicely. He had a grey button up shirt with a black tie and nice black slacks. He was definitely drool worthy.

"Hey." I smile as I step off the last step.

He smirks as his eyes trail my figure. I watch as his eyes darken and once again, I try to figure out what it means. Maybe I should ask Aqua tomorrow. Yeah. That's what I'll do.

"Wow. Bambi, you look great. You never cease to amaze me." Aiden tells me as he comes closer. "I want to tell you something later, okay?"

I nod. "Sure."

Although I'm curious now.

"We should get going to the party." Aiden tells me as he grabs my hand. "Ready?"

I roll my bottom lip into my mouth but simply give him a quick nod. He squeezes my hand before we walk to his car. As we put on our seatbelt, he turns to me.

"Don't worry your pretty little head, Bambi. My family will absolutely adore you because you are amazing and beautiful and the kindest girl I've ever met. They'd be crazy if they don't." Aiden assures me.

It didn't take long before we got to his moms house. I've never went in, but I remember that day, awhile ago, when he brought me here to watch a movie in his mom's van.

I honestly don't remember what movie because I fell asleep while watching it.

"Do you remember when I brought you here?" Aiden speaks up suddenly.

I chuckle softly at I turn toward him. "I was just thinking about how I couldn't remember the movie we watched together. Cause, you know, I fell asleep."

He smiles as he opens his door to get out. I do the same, after I take off my seatbelt. He must of taken his of before he asked me his question. He then turns back to me.

"It was the outsiders." He reminds me.

Aiden starts walking to the door and let's himself in, me following behind him.

"Aiden!" Darcy runs up, giving him a huge hug.

I stand awkwardly beside them, waiting for her to let go. Is it me or is she holding onto him for way too long?

Finally, she let's go and I can feel the anger inside of me fade away. I don't know what that was all about but I didn't like it.

"Brittany, right?" Darcy asks, looking over at me.

I roll my eyes inwardly but stay polite. "Bambina, actually."

She smirks. "Whatever." Then she runs her hand slightly down Aiden's chest and winks. "See you later, Aiden."
