16 Chapter Fifteen

After I woke up, I realized that it was getting close to the time of getting out of the water. I stretch my upper body out since it was pretty stiff from sleeping on this rock I found near the shore so that I wouldn't have to swim very far when it was time to go to Aiden's house.

Which reminds me.

I wonder if Aiden found anything on my parents.

I was excited to see Aiden, for sure, but I was even more excited that I might be able to see my parents again.

"Bambina!" I look over to see Aqua swimming quickly over to me. "I've been looking everywhere for you. I thought you would be with Aquarius.." She takes a look around. Realizing we were by the shore, she says, "Have you been watching that human boy again?"

I chuckle as I shake my head. "No. Actually, Aiden and I talked a lot last night. He's helping me find my parents."

She looks at me, clearly shocked. "The same human that ignored you for a month?"

I nod. "The very same."

She shakes her head. "I don't trust him."

I laugh out loud when she says this. "You once told me you don't trust any human."

"I trust you!" She argues.

I shrug. "I'm not fully a human, either."

She nods before looking up at the sky. "You better get going. I'll meet you here in the morning."

We say our goodbyes before I head toward Aiden's house. When I get to the top of the water, I can already see that Aiden is waiting for me. I smile to myself.

I'm really happy that he's back in my life.

I see him look down at his wrist as I get up to the shore. I begin to feel the magic in my fin before it pulls apart, leaving me with my legs.

"Where is she?" I hear him ask himself as I start toward him.

"Where is who?" The redhead from that party asks him.

I quickly hide behind a big rock that's close to his house.

I see him scan the water before shaking his head.

"No one." He tells her quickly.

She looks toward the water with a smirk before looking back at him.

"Then lets go inside." She says sweetly.

He nods and starts to follow her inside. I glare at their retreating figures, aggravated that he took her in the house.

I would've just went into my abandoned hideout to get some clothes but surely people would notice a naked girl running around.

So, I just sit down behind the rock and wait. Hopefully, he and that redhead won't take too long.

Aiden

Darcy came over at the same time that Bambina was supposed to show up. I'm surprised she hasn't come up yet but, at the same time, I'm glad she hasn't. What would Darcy have to say about some naked girl showing up at my back door.

Although it would be pretty hilarious to see her face, it would also mean Bambina would be exposed.

Literally and figuratively.

I gave Darcy short answers, hoping she'll leave soon so that I don't seem like a prick but, its like she knows some things up. She won't leave.

"Darcy, I actually have to go." I tell her suddenly.

She turns to look at me with a frown. Usually, I wouldn't kick her out like this because we've become good friends but I need to see Bambina.

"But, I thought maybe we could have a movie night." She pokes out her bottom lip.

I smirk at her little pout.

"I really would, you know that. But, I'm meeting someone and I can't be late." Even though I'm already late.

"Who?" She asks suspiciously.

"My dad." I lie quickly.

She narrows her eyes, trying to figure out if I'm telling the truth or not. Finally, she made a decision.

"Fine." She crosses her arms. "But, tomorrow, your all mine."

I chuckle. "Depends on how this meeting goes."

She sighs. "Well, fingers crossed."

She comes over to give me a hug before she turns to leave. Once she shuts the door, I quickly run toward the backdoor.

I open it quickly and scan the area. I couldn't see her if she was here.

"Bambina?!" I whisper yell.

After a few seconds, she steps out from behind a rock in all her glory. I quickly advert my eyes away from her. She walks past me without saying anything and into the house. I follow behind her until we get to her doorway. She then turns to me.

"Could I maybe take a shower?" She mumbles.

I nod before showing her how to adjust the water. I then get her a rag and towel before leaving her to shower.

I couldn't help but wonder if she was mad at me. I tried to get rid of Darcy quickly but Bambina couldn't know that seeing as she was left outside.

Besides that, she was naked. So, I think its a safe bet to say she's pretty upset.

After about twenty minutes, I see Bambina walk out the bathroom. She walks straight toward her closet in nothing but a towel on.

"I'm gonna let you have some privacy." I say before walking out of her room.

It's not too long before she's opening the door, inviting me back in.

"I'm really sorry, Bambi. I didn't know Darcy would show up like that." I apologize.

She shakes her head at me. "It's fine, really. And, it's none of my business."

I look into her eyes, trying to see if she was upset but they just seemed blank. Like she was trying to hide some hidden emotion.

"Did you have a nice swim?" I ask her.

She gives me a cute grin before saying. "I actually slept most of today. I hung out with Aqua before I came out of the water and told her you were helping me find my parents. I font think she or Aquarius want me to break the curse."

"Well, if you want to break the curse, I have some good news." I tell her.

Her eyes light up as she looks me in mine.

"Really?!"

"I found your parents, Bambi."
