18 CHAPTER 18 ILLUSION CORE, WATER PRIESTESS

Zae's guard increased more as he heard the illusion spider speaking about how Zae had scratched it.

Zae thinks as he holds his sniper aimed at The illusion spider.

"Thinking of how to defeat me? hahaha Don't even think about defeating me just think about how you are going to escape from me!"

The screeching voice suddenly turns from a normal to a deadly tone.

Zae's expression had also changed drastically but he didn't let his guard down and maintained his stance.

"Now thats the expression I like, come on entertain me more"

The Illusion spider says as it begins crawling near Zae slowly

"Do you have a name?"

Zae suddenly asks out of nowhere

"Why do you want to know?"

Illusion spider replies

"Oh you atleast want to know the name of the one who kills you? so be it.....Listen carefully my name is Bezmakul"

Bezmakul adds

"Bezmakul huh?"

Zae starts whispering

"Now are you ready to move or should I just kill you?"

Bezmakul starts screeching even harder

<Hmph, think Zae think..... what can you do ?? .... think damm it think>

Zae starts to panic even more as Bezmakul starts crawling closer and closer

<That's it, Its the only way to beat it, I should have one mana potion with me>

Zae suddenly realises something

Zae copies Reva's skills and uses his ultimate skill. Time zero and the sniper on his hands suddenly morphs to a dual sword.

"Hmmph, even if you can change weapon and skills its no use!"

#Bloodlust domain

Zae uses Reva's domain which shocked the Illusion spider.

"What? aren't you just level 40 and didn't complete a domain quest? how are you using a domain?"

The illusion spider was so shocked that all it's movements were sealed.

#Time Zero

Bezmakul also uses Time Zero.

Zae starts to rush towards Bezmakul with a red aura surrounding his body.

Beznakul also had the same aura but it seemed more powerful than Zae's

"Waaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!"

SFX:Clang Clang Clang

Zae continuously attacks Bezmakul using his twin swords striking all its openings at the slightest chance. He was swinging his swords like a mad tyrant going on a rampage.

At first Zae rushes with the buff from the bloodlust domain and goes behind Bezmakul and tries to slash its abdomen

"Hmph, attack from behind? it won't work on me"

SFX:clang

Bezmakul easily blocks the attack from Zae pushing him a little back but Zae continued his attacks even though it seemed futile.

Then suddenly as the attacks were getting faster and fiercer, Bezmakul realised something

<What? I'm not getting even a single damage, this barrage should atleast do some slight damage but why?>

Bezmakul started going into offensive after realising this and breaks Zae's chain of attack.

<I've also realised this just 2 days ago while facing Nicoer, Its not even in the descriptions.... When time zero is active, when you take damage, if the amount is not too much then no damage is taken and instead your mana is consumed>

When Zae's attack chain broke, he switched

Just as Bezmakul's attack was about to hit Zae he switched to Kiri's skill set and used shadow steps just in the nick of time to dodge Bezmakul's attack.

"You can't escape me!!"

Bezmakul turns to the direction where Zae had blinked.

#Magic shot

Just as Bezmakul turned around a shot came and like before he used his claws to defend but this time there was not even a slight scratch

<What's happening? Why am i not getting damaged?>

Bezmakul was not panicked but was in deep confusion as to why he was not getting even a single damage from an attack he took damage from before.

"Its futile, you are not damaging me even a single bit"

Just as Bezmakul declared that, another shot came in and hit it's claws again.

The barrage continued for a long time. Zae was using the bullets that he had created before coming to Apecolo. He had about 400 buolets in his inventory and did not hesitate to use it all.

Zae after every shot changed position using shadow steps and shot again. That way even if the Illusion spider knew its location it couldn't attack him. He was moving from the spot at the moment he shot.

"Stay still you weakling?"

Bezmakul shouts as he tries to catch Zae off guard by predicting his next spot, but it was all in vain since Zae had already thought of this and started moving in spots that Bezmakul couldn't even imagine he would pop up. Sometimes even right in front of it.

The battle was a very long drawn battle and though it was a bit late Bezmakul realised what Zae was trying to do

"So you're trying to drain my mana....."

SFX:bang clang

".....but it won't work I can kill you even without using any skills"

SFX:Bang clang

"Tcchh it's so annoying"

#Ballistic destruction

Bezmakul suddenly used a new skill

A series of light started shooting out of its body and then a huge explosion came by

SFX:booooooommmmm

<What? ho..w does he have a skill? I thought he only copied other people's skills>

Zae thinks as he was caught off guard by the massive explosion that had levelled the uneven ground and even left a crater.

"How is it, Its the skill of a monster I just ate, too bad it couldn't use it at its full potential like me.

"The screeching voice came from behind the smoke that was left after the explosion.

Zae was fully covered in bruises and burnt marks. He was lying on the ground desperately trying to stand up.

"Just some more....."

Zae grunts

"Not willing to give up?.....I like that but I'm sorry I have to end it fast aswell, I'm too low in mana because of using Ballistic destruction. You might aswell become my nourishment, your skills should benefit me"

Bezmakul Raises one of its claws and imbued it with magic.

Just as It was about to stab Zae.

Zae smirks

SFX: Break

Zae uses the mana potion and suddenly disappears

"What was that? how are you moving you should be completely out of mana"

Bezmakul was very shocked at this but and as he turns to where Zae had shadow stepped, he was already very far away and had climbed the edge of the ravine.

"Trying to escape!?? It won't be easy"

Bezmakul started to follow Zae as he used shadow steps.

Bezmakul could have also used shadow steps to pursue Zae but it's mana was also nearly drained and it was saving its mana to deal a final blow.

Zae starts using shadow steps and he starts moving towards the edge of the ravine. The ravine was also nearly 2 Kilometers deep and he was climbed all the way to the top in some 10 seconds or so.

This was his plan along

Zae jumps towards the opposite side of the ravine, though he could not make it he made the jump inorder to further the distance between him and the Illusion spider even more.

"You're trying to kill yourself? I won't let you... you're my prey tonight"

Bezmakul also starts jumping higher up even faster than it was jumping before.

<Now!!!!>

#Shadow freeze shot

A sudden chill feeling came into the shadow spider and it stopped and turned to look at what Zae was doing as he was falling

"What?"

A series of magic circles starting from blue for the first 10 magic circles, purple for the next twenty magic circles and red magic circles for the last 30 or so magic circles appeared right at the head of Bezmakul.

"Not good!!"

Bezmakul starts panicking and starts to shoot out webs in the form of spears.

"Eat this!!!!!!"

Zae shouts and shoots

The series on magic circles started breaking one after another each time increasing the speed and power of the bullet

"No it can't be over like this! I worked so hard and yet....."

SFX:clang clang clang bbooooooooommmmmm

It was a direct hit to the head.

Since the distance was nearly 2 kilometers the damage dealth was insanely high aswell.

As he was falling the spears like projection from the last struggle of the illusion spider came and hits Zae's stomach and the rest misses

"Ahh!!!"

Zae screams in pain

<It's over atlast..... my mana is drained..... I guess my time has come aswell... I'm sorry Kiri, Noto I won't be able to see you guys again.. Its over for me aswell>

Zae starts to lose consciousness as he falls. His vision becomes all blurry and he starts imagining how much fun he had with Kiri and Noto and Reva and Tias and everybody else he had met within this week.

Drops starts falling from Zae's eyes as he nears the ground

Suddenly Zae feels as if someone was holding him and carrying him...

when he opened his eyes he could see a fuzzy image of a blue figure.

He couldn't even use his extreme sense to sense anyone as he was nearing the brink of dead. The blue figure caught him and prevented his fall, but Zae's HP was still falling drastically and he had already lost his consciousness.

The blue figure turns out to be the same one from the river before.

She took hold of Zae and let him down underneath a tree and started to patch up his injuries by tearing up her elegant blue dress.

"Hey!!! wake up! don't you die after I saved you from that fall"

The girl starts calling out for Zae to not give up on life yet

Zae thinks with his weak voice as he slowly blacks out.

•Afterv a while•

Zae slowly opens his eyes slowly as he sees the blue sky and the birds flying about and the forest's wind which was very refreshing...

Zae tries to get up but as he tried to get up he felt excruciating pain from his abdomen

"Ahhhhh!!!!"

Zae holds his stomach as he screams in agony

"Hold still there you still haven't recovered, you had a hole in your stomach you know, you sure are lucky it didn't pierce any vitals"

A girl's voice suddenly comes from nearby and Zae turns to look at who it was.

"You are?..."

Zae's eyes opens wide as he sees the girl who was tending to a fire and looking towards him with a smile. She suddenly stands up and helps Zae to get up, Zae still continues looking at her the whole process.

"I'm Okina, I was here for the illusion spider too but I guess you got here first"

Okina says with a smile as she notices Zae look at her with his eyes wide open

"Is there something on my face?"

Okina adds hesitantly

"You're water priestess!!!?"

Zae asks in a straight yet shocked tone

"Yes I am, I'm surprised you know me"

Okina says as she helps Zae sit down next to the fire

"And... here is the illusion core"

Okina takes out a blue and somewhat shapeless crystal...while Zae looked at her still in a shocked state

"Its yours... didn't you defeat the illusion spider for it?"

Okina asks with a smile

Zae didn't let a single word and suddenly collapses out of nowhere.

"Whhh... what happened wake up!! hey wake up!!"

Okina grabs him and tries to wake him up desperately checking for any other injuries she had missed.

But when she couldn't find any she felt at ease and let Zae down slowly to let him rest more.
