6 Bargain Struck

Eerie silence fell over the cliff side nests, the multicolored rocks shone bright under the starlit sky. As the Copper Wing Matriarch tilted her head once more at this strange Hume(Other race's name for humans), Her Golden eyes glinted in wonder as she turned to her child who had brought her this Hume and began chittering in their native tongue so as to keep the conversation private.

"My son says you are not lying as of yet, but also you may have some sort of healing food?" The Matriarch coo'd softly in questioning FallingDusk.

The lightly armored player, gave a slight nod.

"While it's not as effective as other healing items, my trail rations increase one's recovery for a short time." FallingDusk kept a peaceful stance not wanting to provoke the small flock of Copper Wings around him. "I effectively have nine portions left of this, but can acquire more in exchange for your flocks discarded down."

"Hmmm" The Matriarch trilled in thought, "Let me first see this foods effectiveness" she then turned and called out a screech to her flock and a heavily injured Copper Wing limped forward as he dragged a broken wing.

FallingDusk looked shocked wondering how this injured Copper Wing could even return to the nest in this state. "Matriarch it would take all my remaining rations to help him and even that wouldn't be enough, but I can still help"

FallingDusk quickly approaching the injured Copper Wing pulling out a ration, "Eat this slowly" he placed the ration in front of his patient, as he walked to the edge of the cliff and pulled to long sticks from a empty nest.

"I need to touch his wing so I can help it heal faster with a splint... is that alright?"

He heard soft trilling in response to his question. Then the Matriarch replied, "He does not refuse your aid, but should you show and aggressive actions your life is forfeit."

FallingDusk gave a nod and approached the broken wing gingerly lifting it causing the injured Copper Wing to let out a pained squak.

"Sorry, Sorry I know it hurts just a few more minutes please." placing one of the sticks beneath the wing and the other over it FallingDusk took out his rope and began tying the splint into shape as he handed over another ration as the first ten seconds was already over.

"This will hurt alot, sorry" The player showed a fair amount of remorse as he pushed on the wing to help shift the broken bone into a proper straight shape be fore tightening the splint fully. FallingDusk was so focused on his task of field dressing a broken limb he didn't notice the progress bar under his health display on his HUD.

As he finished the splint he held out another Ration, this time his patient was eating from FallingDusk's hand, and the player could watch the injured Copper Wing's status
