It took a week for Dark to master Lazy Arts thanks to his new eyes. Then it took him four weeks to finish the manual for Locke's Knife Arts. However, even with the help of his eyes Dark took a month for him to finally master it.

The people around him didn't know that he was practicing the three arts. He was good at concealing and budgeting his time from school and practice. He continued his daily routine despite mastering all three arts. His goal was for his body to get used to the arts, especially the Lazy Arts.

Time passed as Dark and Lilia attended the academy. During the three years in the academy, Dark excelled in the theory classes. He also did well in his Blacksmithing Classes and Chemistry Classes. Since he hid his physical abilities, he only got scores enough to make him pass.

Many companies and rich families wanted to recruit Dark into their side even though he was still seventeen. The school gave him a special treatment since he perfected all his theory class and made him graduate despite not being eighteen. Thus, he is going to graduate together with Sera and Tomo.

Since Sera and Tomo have already reached eighteen, they turned into exceeds. The first one to awaken was Sera. It was during their class when she started to change. Many exceeds collapse during their awakening. This was Sera's case. She collapsed and emitted strong gusts of wind making the room a mess. When she woke up, she can already control the air around her in a certain extent. Everyone was amazed by the scene.

After Sera, their classmates slowly awoken in the next days. Tomo had her awakening a month later than her best friend. Unlike Sera who has an active gift, Tomo received a passive gift. Her eyesight became sharper than an eagle's. She was able to see as far as five kilometers. Her long-range combat skills also got a drastic improvement.

Before graduating, everyone needs to complete one last project. The Graduation Fair. Students are required to present the fruits of their three years in the academy. The fair lasts for three days. The fair is also used as an opportunity for scouts to acquire talents yet to be discovered.

Dark's project will be a showcase of his newly made medicine. As a son of a chemist, Dark has studied and trained in making medicine and other substances. Since Dark's mother was one of the best chemists in the world, he too had the talent running in his genes.

Most pills created till this day have their own side-effect. Great power comes with great price. However, Dark's newly created pill was different. Dark compiled all his mother's data left to them and created an entirely new drug.

His Strength Enhancing Pill multiplies the user's strength into two without any side-effect. Dark decided to release this product publicly since he needed to boost humanity's overall strength in preparation for the second calamity that was going to happen.

The pill was made from Drumstick Leaves, Ironbull's Blood, and Glacier Bee's Honey. The Drumstick Leaves were known for its healthy effects even before the calamity. Its effects are boosted with Ironbull's Blood that increases strength and enhances the bones' foundation. However, using the blood from the Ironbull may burn the user. Which is why Dark added the honey from Glacier Bees to add a cooling effect to nullify the burn that will be caused by the blood.

It took Dark almost a year to perfect this pill. He started making it at his second year in the academy and was able to finish it barely in the middle of his third year. It was just in time for the Graduation Fair so he decided to present this.

The day before the fair, Dark and Lilia were setting up his booth. The booth was just small stall. It only had a table and computer to show a simple manual and can be used to display a record of the pill's effect.

"We are finally done." Dark who was now seventeen years of age asked his sister while wiping her sweaty face.

"Brother I can do it by myself. I am already fourteen." She stole the handkerchief from her brother's hand and wiped herself. What a doting brother she thought as she smiled deep inside her.

Sera and Tomo then passed by the booth.

"Is little Sera helping his dear brother out?" Tomo teased the fourteen-year-old girl.

"Who is little?" Lilia puffed her cheeks. The girl seems to be conscious of her height.

Sera went to Dark and talked to him about the fair while Tomo teased Lilia.

"Are you finished preparing for tomorrow?" Sera asked Dark.

Dark nodded to affirm the question.

"You want to eat at the burger joint like the old days? It has been a while since we last ate there." Sera invited Dark and Lilia.

"Sure, why not. Let me pack up my things first then we will head out."

Dark and friends went to eat at the burger joint and when they filled their empty stomachs, they went home.

It was the day of the convention. The main hall was full of people. Representatives from big companies and wealthy families came to scout talents. Students of the academy showcased their skills in different booths.

A student was displaying his blacksmithing skills in front of the talent scouts. He also placed his finished products out for the people to test the quality. Another student showed his combat skills. He also had video recordings of his previous battles.

However, one booth caught the attention of many people. Dark's booth.

The Strength Enhancing Pill was the game changer in this world! Many pharmaceutical company representatives were inside the booth. They wanted to inquire how the pill was made. Many famous families even offered Dark to be their chemist but Dark politely refused the offers. The formula for the pill was given for free.

"We really produced a monster this time." The secretary told the chairman while watching Dark's booth from his room.

"No, it runs in that boy's genes." The chairman disagreed with the lady beside him. "It just runs in his blood." He showed a reminiscing smile as he said those words.

"Laura, Oz. Your son really is a monster just like you guys. I guess I was worried for nothing. Hahaha!" The old man laughed as he played with his long white beard.

The secretary had no idea why her chairman laughed loudly.

Three days came by fast. The Fair was finish and the students are about to have their graduation ceremony. The main hall was filled with students wearing their new professional uniforms given to them by the academy as token of their appreciation. Students were called one by one to receive their diploma on stage.

"Dark Crafts!" Miss. Alleria announced his name. Dark immediately stood up his seat and went up on stage. The chairman gave his diploma.

"You really look like Laura and Oz." The old man said when he shook Dark's hand.

"How did you know those names." Dark stared at the chairman as he said the words with killing intent.

"Relax, I'm not your enemy. Meet me later and I'll tell you what I know." The chairman released his hand and Dark went off the stage. The people were not able to hear the small conversation they had on the stage. Apparently, the chairman used a skill to prevent noise from going out.

The ceremony lasted for two hours. After the ceremony, Dark met with Sera and Tomo. They were with their parents.

"Mom, Dad this is Dark and his sister Lilia. Dark, Lilia this is my mom and dad." Sera introduced her parents to her friend.

Dark politely bowed, "Greetings Mr. and Mrs. Gale."

Lilia pulled the hem of her dressed and elegantly took a bow. "Greetings Mr. and Mrs. Gale."

"Such polite friends you have Sera. Lilia is also cute as what you said." Mrs. Gale wore a happy expression as she clapped her hands.

"Thank you for taking good care of our daughter." Mr. Gale returned the siblings' greeting.

Tomo on the other hand introduced her parents.

"Dark meet my parents." Tomo

"Greetings Mr. and Mrs. Hawkeye." The siblings bowed and greeted.

"It must have been hard being a friend of our boyish daughter." Tomo's mother chuckled as she returned the siblings' greeting.

"Greetings!" Tomo's father was a man of few words.

Dark talked with his friends for a while. Since they know each other's contacts they could just message each other even when they already graduated. After their chat they bid their farewells.

Dark and Lilia went to the chairman's office. Lilia didn't ask any questions as Dark only told her that they were meeting their parents' acquaintance.

"Congratulations for Graduating! Come take a seat." The old man heartily welcomed the siblings. His secretary was guarding the door as she was ordered not to let anyone else go inside.

The siblings sat down the chairs in front of the chairman's desk.

"Do you want coffee or tea?" The old man offered.

"Let's get to the point. What are you going to tell us?" Dark immediately told him.

The chairman who was about to sip from his tea cup stopped and placed the cup back on top of the cup plate.

"You are really like your father. Oz was really direct to the point during his younger days." The chairman smiled while looking at Dark who resembled his father.

"I forgot to fully introduce myself. This old man's name is Rudolph Scarlet. The one who taught your father how to make weapons." The chairman had a serious look in his face. "My wife was your mother's chemistry master."

"You are the master of our father?" The siblings were shocked.

"Seeing you children here means that something must have happened to them. Am I right?"

The siblings nodded in affirmation.

"Have you ever wondered why you were transported near here? It was because they wanted you to be near me. I wished the day would never come but still it happened."

"Do you have any clue where our parents are?"

"They should be hiding somewhere. They didn't take you with them since they wanted their children to experience normal lives."

But deep inside the chairman he knew that the kids will only be a burden to their parents if they were with them right now.

"I was the one who arranged that house you are living on right now. I also know about what's hidden inside that basement and you were only allowed to enter when you reached Rank S." The old man told them. "Don't worry about your sister when you go out for missions when you become an exceed. The academy, no. I will protect her no matter what. Oz's children are also my grandkids. Just do your best in reaching that rank. Your parents also asked my wife to teach your little sister everything she knows about chemistry."

"We understand." The siblings agreed since it was their parent's arrangements.

A year has passed since Dark graduated. The siblings often visit the chairman's home. They often listen to Mrs. Scarlet's stories about their parent's days when they were still students. The siblings got close to the old couple enough for them to call the couple grandma and grandpa. For the first time in their lives they were able to feel the warmth of having grandparents.

It was on Dark's eighteenth birthday when he is starting to awaken.
