3 Platinum Currency Card

It was 5am in the morning, a fourteen-year-old boy was jogging around the residential district of First City. The boy's name was Dark.

Now that he needs to become an S-class exceed, he started to exercise to develop his physical body. He also familiarized the neighborhood while at it.

After running a round, he returned to his new house. He cooked breakfast for his sister who was still sleeping in her room. "I forgot that yesterday was my birthday. I'm already fifteen huh?" As he was about to finish cooking his sister came down.

"Good Morning Lily."

"Good Morning Brother!" The little girl rushed to hug her big brother.

"Can you do Big Bro a favor and go set the table up?" he asked as he pat the head of his sister.

His sister nodded and prepared what he asked for. They enjoyed their meal for about half an hour. Then Dark washed the dishes while his sister cleaned the dining table.

"Hey Lily, do you want to go explore around?" He asked his little sister while they were watching a tv show.

"You sure brother? Yey! I wanna go." Lilia thought that they will still have the same old life when they were still at the island. It will be their first time going outside together. Enormous joy came to her when her brother asked her.

They changed into new clothes prepared beforehand by their parents. Dark didn't forget to bring a card that was inside the envelope. The card was a currency card.

The world today does not use the paper cash as currency. Now they use currency points or known as cp to use as a method of exchange.

The residential district was located at the southern part of Red City. Since the business district is located at the western part of the city, Dark and Lilia need to ride a hover bus to get there faster. Hover bus unlike an ordinary bus, is a vehicle hovers with the help of anima cores.

Anima cores are the crystals found inside the bodies of monsters that appeared during the calamity. These have unknown energies depending on the origin of the crystal. For example, an anima crystal from a fire fox can be used for lighting fire whilst an ac from a titanium tortoise can be used to strengthen certain objects.

It was 20-minute ride from their house to the business district. The two children were ecstatic as they enjoyed the scenery on the way.

"Look brother!" Lilia kept on pointing things that she saw personally for the first time.

Even though they saw the huge malls in the tv shows before, it was their first time seeing one themselves. They were like country bumpkins going inside the city for the first time.

Some people silently laughed at them. Some smiled seeing these two innocent children exploring the place.

It was around noon time when they decided to eat. They were famished when walking from one shop to another. Even though they were window shopping, the vendors and salespeople were polite and patient in assisting the siblings.

"Brother can we eat here?" Lilia ran to a cute looking family restaurant. Dark grabbed his sister hand and went inside the shop.

The little bells chimed to welcome them. "Welcome, table for how many?" A young waitress asked them.

"Table for two please." Dark signaled two with his hand as he said the words. The waitress then bowed and guided them to their table.

"Here is our menu." The waitress gave them a small matchbox. Lilia excitedly pressed the button to see what food they can eat.

Common food. Food made up of ingredients that exist before the calamity where cheaper than the food from ingredients post-calamity. The rare food came from the materials gathered from monsters or from evolved plants.

"I want this, this and this. Also, this." Lilia ordered a lot.

"Is it okay big bro?" She asked with blinking eyes to beg to her big brother.

"Yes, it is fine. Anything for you Lily" This big brother spoiled his little sister. Dark gave her the chance since it was their first time.

Most of the dishes they ordered are the rare ones. Buttered fiery rooster, sweet and sour sword salmon, and many others. After they filled their bellies for an hour they asked for the bill.

"Please scan your card here to transfer the payment." Dark then got his card from the pocket then got it scanned.

The waitress and cashier were shocked when they saw the card that this boy was holding.

A platinum grade card!

There were 4 grades for cards, the ordinary, silver, gold, and platinum. Ordinary cards were commonly used by the ordinary citizens while the silver is used by exceeds. Gold cards are essential for those who came from rich families and even royalties. The rarest of them is the Platinum Card. There were only 100 platinum cards in existence! The people in the Asia Nations who have the said platinum card can be counted in a single hand.

The employees in the shop became nervous and bowed their heads to the two siblings. "Apologies for not recognizing young master and young miss."

Is this card really that powerful? Dark pondered to himself. Even though he knows about the cards he didn't expect that platinum cards are that rare and influential.

Dark waved his hand, "It's okay, however please do refrain from spreading that my sister and I visited this restaurant."

"As the young master wishes."

The siblings then went back home after eating. It was better for them to keep a low profile since they made a ruckus in the restaurant.

While eating dinner, Dark was thinking what to do and after organizing his thoughts he asked his little sister, "Lily do you want to go to school?"

Her sister stopped eating, she stared at her brother with her beautiful round eyes that were sparkling in awe. "Really brother? I can go to school?"

"Yes, but you need to take the entrance exam first before you can enroll." Dark affirmed his sister's question. "Don't forget to study okay? Mom and Dad left some books in the computer for us to study."

Seeing his sister excited, Dark felt happy. Their parents left them the other day. It must have been hard for his sister but seeing her glad eased Dark's heart.

Before Dark went to sleep, he ordered two of the latest Anima Phones, or ap for short. These are phones powered by anima crystals since the energy consumption of these phones are greater than the previous smart phones.

Dark also sent an email to the academy to register for the entrance exam. Luckily, the academy has a school for elementary level. His sister can go to the academy with him making him feel secured.

The system nowadays is fast and efficient. After a few seconds, the academy was able to take note that they will be taking the entrance exam tomorrow.

Seeing that everything was ready for tomorrow he decided to retire for the day.
