19 Level Up

Deep inside the forest, a young man, wielding a flaming blade in his hands is currently surrounded by a pack of wild silver wolves. These wolves were panting out of exhaustion as they eyed on their supposed to be prey. However, the young man who ought to be their prey is now eyeing to hunt them.

He dashed to the nearest wolf and cut its throat down in blaze. Then he did the same to the second and third until he obliterated all the wolves that attacked him. After collecting all the loot, he went back to the city.

The young man showed his card and reported the accomplishment of his quests.

"That was fast." The desk officer was shocked. It was fast knowing that people just started coming inside the tower. In fact, there were still two people inside and they can't grow that fast.

He took Dark's card and scanned it to the crystal. After scanning he returned it back to him, "Here, your reward is also transferred."

"Thanks." Dark took the card back and kept it inside his pocket. "Do you know what the level is for? I already killed many monsters, but I have not leveled up yet."

"Oh! I forgot to inform you that you need to go to the altar so that your level will increase." The man scratched his face with his pointer wearing an embarrassed face. "Anyway, just go out of this building and head to the right. You can see a temple-like building after a walking for a few minutes."

"Got it thanks."

Dark went out and followed the man's instructions. It did not take him long to reach the temple. When he went inside he noticed a few familiar faces. These faces were Lilia and Cya.

"Hi brother!" Lilia greeted her brother seeing that he is walking towards her.

"How's your quest? I hear you took another one after finishing your first one."

"It was easy! It did not take me to finish the first one so Cya suggested that I go take another."

"So Dark, did you wonder why your level did not increase?" Cya interrupted the sibling's conversion.

"Yes. I asked that guild officer and he told me to come here." He answered.

"Since both of you are here let's go to the priestess assigned here. She will give you the details."

They went to the girl wearing a priestess outfit. Upon seeing them, the girl gently smiled and bowed her head.

"Welcome!" She greeted the siblings.

"We are here to ask about how to level up." Lilia asked the maiden.

"I see. You just need to go and pray to the altar inside. After praying the gods and goddess who heard your prayers will bless you and grant your level converted from the experience you gained from monsters and quests." She carefully instructed the girl as she looked towards the altar located deeper inside the building.

"Thanks!" Lilia joyfully thanked the priestess and dragged her brother towards the altar. This little sister of Dark was more excited than him.

Cya stayed behind and waited for the siblings at the counter with the priestess. She looked at them kneeling and reminisced of her past.

"What should I pray for?" Dark who was kneeling in front of the altar wondered. He was not that religious of a person. With the things that happened he knew that there was someone higher, but he does not know who it is.

He glanced at his sister who was seriously praying at that moment, "I wonder what she is praying for."

He closed his eyes and started his own little prayer. It did not take them time to finish and returned back to the priestess.

"You can check your level in your card." The priestess informed them since they were done praying.

The siblings took their cards out and read the information inside. Smiles appeared when they saw and looked at each other.

"Brother! I increased my level into 3!" Lilia exclaimed. When she was alone with Cya, the silkie told her that it was quite difficult to raise levels in the towers. Thus, the increase of her level made her happy.

"Guess what level your brother is on." Dark teasingly said with a smirk on his face.

"3? Same with me? Wait, don't tell me you got a higher level. Cya helped me a lot during my quest so it should be impossible for you to get a higher level than me." Lilia pouted. She was furious that her brother teased her.

"Chill out, your brother has a level of 5. You jealous?" Dark laughed as he saw his sister's reaction. It was not always the can have this kind of sibling interaction.

"Wow, Cya did you hear him? His level is 5. You told me that it was hard to raise levels here." Feeling cheated, she complained to the little silkie.

Cya was also surprise upon hearing the matter. "How did you do it?" She curiously asked.

"I just did some quests. Oh, I also killed a boss. It was a big slime or something." He nonchalantly answered.

Cya frowned as she learned that this young man in front of her soloed a boss this early. Such frightening potential, she thought. Even though she trained him she did not expect a lot from him. Since in her eyes he was just above average. But this event made her think twice.

Meanwhile outside the tower, the government forces were now prepared to scout inside the tower. These forces consisted of elite rankers.

"Are the scouting forces ready?" A man wearing a military suit asked the soldier beside him.

"Yes Sir!" He reported.

"That's good." The man grabbed a headset and spoke through its microphone. "Mission Start!"

Upon the signal, the scouting forces immediately rushed inside the tower. In the eyes of those waiting for them outside they disappeared like a bubble. All they can see was the tower with an opened door, which could not be seen through.
