4 Entrance Exam

Red Private Academy, one of the 8 major academies in Red Country. It is said to be the home of the elites. The campus was huge, occupying 78 hectares. The buildings have a huge distance between them. Therefore, the admins have decided to have hover vans as a mean of transportation inside.

August 10, 2270

Early in the morning, the academy was filled with a huge crowd. Children from ages 7 to 15 were lining up towards a building.

Inside the main building of the campus, a young boy accompanied by his little sister was talking to the receptionist. This young boy is Dark.

"Dark proceed to Hall No.1 while your sister must go to Hall No.3." the receptionist instructed.

The siblings gave their thanks. Dark accompanied her sister till the door of the hall.

"Remember to stay calm during the exam. As long you perform the usual, I'm sure that you'll pass the exam." Dark reminded his little sister.

"Yes brother! Good luck to you brother!" she wished her brother well.

"You too."

After leaving Lilia at her assigned hall, Dark immediately went to Hall No.1.

Hall No.1 was filled with a lot of people with the same age as him. These teenagers are also taking the exam. The exam is divided into two parts, the theory exam and the physical exam. The first side room contained many cabins that are used in the theory part of the exam. Whilst on the other side of the room was connected to an indoor field.

The theory exam started, the examinees were given an hour to answer a hundred item test. The first fifty items were about basic knowledge while the other fifty comprise of very advanced questions.

First question, what is an anima core? Second question, what is an exceed?

"These questions are quite easy." Dark thought as he took the exam

Question Number 31. Explain the new element system.

The people taking the exam were sweating a lot. The school is well known for its very low passing rate because of the high standards that they maintain.

However, Dark had no problem in answering this test. The things he learned from being homeschooled was far more advanced that the questions asked in the test.

The second part of the exam took place in the indoor field. Their running speed and stamina were tested in this second exam. Since Dark has been spending indoors most of his time in the island, his physical test score was just barely above average. His record in the 40-yard dash was only 4.4 seconds.

"Hey look at him. He is the second son of Jackal Family." An examiner told his partner. "His record 3.8 seconds in the 40-yard is such a feat. Even exceeds don't run that fast." The two examiners were amazed by him.

"There is also the son of Lee Family who also finish the dash at 3.9 seconds. Even though he didn't surpass Jackal, the Lee family is well known for the toughness of their fists. Such good seed indeed." Another examiner noted.

Dark was about to go home when he bumped someone.

"Gome Gome, I'm in a hurry." An energetic voice apologized to him.

(Gome is short for gomenasai which means "sorry" in Japanese)

When Dark look at the person, she was waving her hand to him as a sign of apology as she ran towards the examiner.

The little girl wearing a sakura-colored ninja suit was about to take the 40-yard dash. Dark's interest was piqued so he decided to watch.

"Koga Sakura!" The examiner called her name.

"Hai!" She prepared herself and went into starting position.

Ready… Set… *bang* The starting line was left with clouds of dust the second the gun shot.

Such speed!

As soon as Dark finished his words, the little ninja passed the finish line.

2.4 seconds

Where did this girl come from? The examiners thought.

The girl left the crowd in awe causing a commotion. As it was getting noisy, Dark decided to go fetch his sister so that they could go gome.

After a long day's work, they went home. The results of the exam will be announced three days after.

Seeing the results of the physical exam, Dark became dissatisfied with himself.

I need to train more. He thought as he clenched his fist.

The next day, Dark began his new training menu. The researched the best combination of exercises to achieve the most optimal benefits last night.

During the morning, he focused on training his body. He studied and meditated during the night as to relieve the stress from the physical workout.

This repeated the whole week. During the span of a week's time, the letter of acceptance was sent to their house. Lilia also enjoyed watching her brother train. Seeing her brother work hard inspired her to study more and do her best.

A week has passed after Dark and Lilia took their exam. They were accepted because of their excellent performance. Especially in the theory portion of the test.

Now was the first day of the semester. Dark is now in his first-year advance program while his sister, Lilia enrolled in the basic program.

"Lily are you done preparing for school?!" Dark shouted as he was setting up the plates on the table.

"Just a minute brother. I'm almost ready." Lilia opened the door so that her brother can hear and replied.

"Hurry up or we will be late!"

The classes held in the academy start at 8 in the morning. In this school, students are required to finish a minimum of 30 units so that they can proceed to the next level. Major subjects give 6 units while minor subjects give 3 units. The number of units per subject depends on the course the student is taking.

For example, a student taking the combat course for potential exceeds gives 6 units to combat related classes and 3 units to basic theory classes. While a student taking up the business course will get 6 units for passing a theory class and 3 units for a combat class.

After a 30-minute ride, Dark and his sister arrived at the academy.
