17 Big Slime
"Have you finished getting your job class?" The man asked when Dark and Lilia came down from the second floor.
"Yes, we returned to get a quest. Can you please help us? We don't know the rules about quests here." Lilia sought for the man's help. She pointed at the quest board and begged him to explain the system here.
"Yes. Yes. Anything for you, young lady Hahaha! Come here and look at this." The man went to the quest board and the trio followed. He turned the quest board on and a list of quests available appeared.
"Each quest has its own level requirement and reward. The harder the quest the higher the requirement the higher the reward. You already know the rankings. I mentioned it to you a while ago. However, one can't simply register for a quest. One must fulfill all the requirements that are asked to get the quest." He explained with a serious voice. "Most of the quest have their own deadlines. Failure to accomplish the quest before the deadline is to be penalized. Your quest points will be demerited. Worse de-ranked."
"I understand." Dark gulped as he saw the man released a terrifying aura when he told them the consequences in failing a quest.
The aura vanished, and the man's face turned to normal and smiled.
"Anyway, since you are just beginners you can just go and quest till your heart's content HAHAHA!"
After the explanation the man returned to his desk leaving the siblings. It took them a while to read everything in the quest board. Most of the quests here are ranked white and a few ranked green can be found at the most bottom. Dark found out that there were different kinds of quest which the man forgot to mention.
Gathering Quest, a quest where one must gather the materials and deliver it to the requestor.
Subjugation Quest, a quest where one must kill a certain number of monsters and report to the requestor.
Delivery/Escort Quest, a quest where one must deliver an item or escort someone to a place specified by the requestor.
Profession Quest, a quest where one is required to perform a job by the requestor.
Special Quest, a quest that is not under the above categories.
"Have you chosen your quest Lilia?" Dark asked after he registered a quest to his card.
"Yes brother. I chose this material gathering quest. I need to collect this green grass and submit it to the guild." She explained as she showed a picture of a type of grass.
"Shall we go together and complete our quests at the same time?"
"I suggest that you siblings should do the quests separately. You guys should be independent especially here in the tower." Cya interjected as she objected Dark's idea.
"We understand. Cya just go with Lilia. I will be fine alone."
"I know. That was my plan." Cya spoke with pride and turned her head to the girl. "Let's go young one."
Lilia followed the flying silkie out of the guild and went to do her quest. Meanwhile, Dark was still pondering if he should explore the city first or go finish his quest. After giving it some thought, he decided to finish his quest first and go outside the city.
The quest he chose was a subjugation quest. He needs to kill 15 slimes in less than 24 hours. It was a simple quest he thought that is why he chose this.
The whereabouts of the slime was already given and all Dark needs to do is to follow the directions. It took him a while to get out of the city. The knight that was guarding the gates bid him a safe trip into the woods.

A notification rang when he stepped inside the forest. Dark was surprised upon hearing the notification again. This time he can see text floating in front of him. He thought that this was the effect of his eyes and ignored it.
He walked into the forest and not even a minute later the shrubs shook. Dark readied himself into battle position placing his hand on to the grip of his blade.
A wild slime appeared!
[Slime Level 1]
The slime was a transparent-like fluid creature. It does not have any eyes and mouth. However, a stone like material can be found inside of it.
The slime was slow in moving it can only crawl its way to attack Dark. With the help of Cya's training, Dark was able to dodge with ease. He slashed the slime using his blade. The slime's body was sliced into two, but the gooey substance slowly returned and formed back into a perfectly normal slime.
"What?! It didn't die from that attack?" Dark was surprised when he saw that the slime regenerated. Then he remembered about the stone inside the slime's body. "Should I try hitting that stone? It should be its core."
Without any second thought, he dashed to the slime and used his blade to pierce the slime's body penetrating the slime's core. When the stone broke into two the slime stopped moving and died. The slime dropped some coins and a small box that contained slime drops. Dark immediately kept his card. The card he received from the elf was also used as storage for the currency and items dropped in the towers. This was of course not infinite and was limited to 30 unique slots and 99 of the same item can fit to a slot.

A notification rang. Dark ignored this and went to look for another slime. It didn't take him too long to find another. This time there were three slimes. After the battle with the slime earlier, Dark became confident with his skills. He was not limited to the simulation and can perform in real life too!
It did not take him two minutes to finish off the three slimes. Same is true with the coming slimes.

Notifications came out one after another as he finished his quest flawlessly. He was about to return to the city when the corpses of the slimes slowly moved and attached to each other making one huge slime.
A big slime has appeared!
[Big Slime Level 5]
The big slime was five times larger than an ordinary slime and was five times stronger! Dark was befuddled by the scene he witnessed and prepared himself from the big slime's attack.
The big slime was swift. It immediately rushed to Dark and when it was at point-blank range it released a blast of gooey substance. Dark was not able to react in time and his shoulder was barely hit by it. He felt pain at the same time he could not move his arm freely. It seemed to him that his movements were slowed.
"I need to finish this fast."
His eyes turned into red and his body released red powerful flames that enveloped him and his blade. Dark didn't want to use his powers because it drains his energy fast. But it left him with no choice.
He pointed his blade at the slime aiming at its core. The big slime prepared itself to attack again and rushed towards Dark. But Dark was already done charging up his energy and released his attack.
Infernal Blade
Dark dashed towards the slime. The blade pierced through its body but this time, the flames that enveloped evaporated the slimes body. The big slime's core was pierced and was charred into pieces. Nothing was left from the big slime. Aside from the loot, only black ashes remained as witness to the flames frightening ability.

Dark felt that energy came to his body when he heard the notification. He picked up his loot and checked what he got. The loot was 50 coins, a mask, and a big slime core.
