13 Abnormality

When Dark's parents were studying an ancient ruin in a mysterious island, they found mysterious letters engraved at the walls. The couple decided to stay and study these letters for five years. This was before Dark and Lilia were born. However, the study was very hard since they couldn't find any clue as to what the meaning of these words were. They were about to give up when they realized that their effort was not giving birth to any fruits.

Then, winter solstice came. The letters lit and emitted a strange radiant light. The walls began to tremble and shook. The walls then opened revealing a hidden room. The couple hastily went inside.

The room was vast and full of strange crystals. Some of were small and the others were big. The crystals have different colors. When they touched the crystals, an image suddenly popped to their heads. The image shown was about a tower's door opening and a horde of monsters charged out of it.

Memory Crystal, a crystal that can record events and information just like a common day memory card.

The couple drained their mental energy when they saw the image. They didn't dare touch another memory crystal. They ventured deeper into the room. Then they saw stairs leading to the floor below. When they climbed down, they saw a simple bedroom. On the bed was a corpse wearing clothes ought to be a king's or a noble's. The couple's interest was piqued. And they went nearer to the dead body. The man was about to touch it when suddenly a mysterious little flying creature stopped them.

"Stop! What are you doing to master!?"

This flying creature was Cya. The couple was bewildered. It was their first time seeing such cute little girl. The couple then asked this girl what this place was. Cya was not hostile after the couple explained their situation. It was about time that the portal opened she thought. The portal to another dimension will open when the time her master set came.

Her master was a grand mage in the dimension of Roah. He was living in isolation because he did not agree in the plan of their Dimension Lord to invade other dimensions. It was common for dimension lords to invade other dimensions to expand their territory. The grand mage didn't know all the details. But he still rejected the idea since it will be too risky for Roah to go and reveal its existence.

The grand mage was sentenced to death and so he fled. Bringing with him his spatial artifact and went to a hidden place and lived inside the artifact. This artifact was the place the couple was currently in. The grand mage recorded all his research inside the place. He created these so that someone in the future may help stop the lord from expanding its territory. And if outsiders discover Roah, may the one who finds his secret base defend it from the invaders.

Cya was tasked by her master to find someone worthy of his possessions. His master was able to find a way to connect to another dimension in hope that someone with a pure heart can help him carry out his will.

After three hundred years her master finally died peacefully on his bed. As the little girl sobbed, she vowed not to let her beloved master down. She waited patiently. She waited for the one whom she shall serve. Her waiting was finally over when someone other than her master appeared inside this secluded spatial artifact.

Cya then asked the couple if it was possible to transfer to another place. Since the little silkie felt that she needed to block the connection from Roah so that no outsiders can go inside using the spatial artifact. The couple agreed and asked The Scarlets to prepare a place for them. This was the residential district. They learned that there was a second great calamity. The first one was because another dimension was sending scouts to gain information about the newly discovered dimension. But Earth has yet to mature as a dimension!

Earth has no dimension lord and has yet to reach its peak stage. For a dimension to reach its peak stage is that it should have its own lord to manage it. However, to become a dimension lord one must surpass all the trials made by the dimension itself. This was the purpose of the towers. The one who reaches the peak gains the qualification to join in the battle to become a dimension lord. But the towers in Earth has yet to be opened! Moreover, the dimension is in a dire state since dungeons have started to appear. Normally, towers appear first to prepare the citizens of the dimension so that they can withstand the invaders from the dungeons. Dungeons are the portals that connects a dimension to another.

Earth's situation has become very complicated!

To summarize it all. A normal dimension begins to mature when the towers appear. These towers contain beings that grant knowledge to the citizens of the dimension. If you were to compare it to a game, these towers were like the tutorial stages while the dungeons were the real stages. Dungeons start appearing after the towers have completed their mission or are about to complete it. With this, the citizens can defend their own home.

First Great Calamity = Towers open

Second Great Calamity = Dungeons open

Third Great Calamity = Monsters/Invaders from inside the Dungeons start to invade the dimension in forms of waves.

The couple was befuddled when they heard everything from Cya. They couldn't cope with the excessive information Cya was giving them. Frightened of the abnormality that Earth is experiencing, they raised their children teaching them everything they know. They held the secret about the calamities with themselves not even informing their masters about it. They asked Cya if she can send them to another dimension so that they can gather information. They were afraid that being too ignorant may lead to Earth's destruction. Therefore, Cya agreed. But the other humans suddenly discovered the research of the couple. When a customer of theirs snuck into their laboratories and stole information, this customer sold this to the famous families. Their greed conquered them and demanded the couple the portal to another dimension. They refused which what led to the events that happened the day of their son's birthday.

Cya narrated the events to the siblings in front of her. But she hid the fact that their parents fled to Roah and destroyed the portal that led to Earth making them trapped in the other dimension. She only told them that their parents were hiding somewhere in this dimension. Since the siblings have yet to reach S rank, she was tasked to prepare them for the opening of the towers. Prepare them so that they can have a head start from the others and make one of them the dimension lord of Earth.

"You guys need not to worry about outside. Normally, the monsters that go out in the beginning are not that strong and will go back inside the tower after an hour or so. Also no one will get hurt since those creatures outside were told not to kill. It is just a simple assessment of Earth's overall ability." Cya told them while waving her favorite broom.

Without giving the siblings time to react she also informed them that their training will start now.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you one thing. Time here runs differently than the outside. One day outside is a year here so you kids will need to train here for a year and by the time you go out the towers will be opened. Tee-hee!" She knocked her head with her own fist and stuck her tongue out while closing one of her eyes.
