36 Dungeon Expansion

Adrian opened his map and decided that his first objective was to make the first floor of the dungeon larger. The dungeon so far was just a straight shot to the end if you managed to pass all the rooms, and that was unsatisfactory.

The first room, which Adrian has named Little Garden, was where he was going to start. The right side of Little Garden was where the river entered into the dungeon, so he went to the left side of the room and began to start making tunnels. He made three exits, upon which he started to make a ton of smaller caves that were interconnected with tunnels.

He made the caves at different heights, sometimes you would need to travel upwards to get to the next came sometimes you had to go down. He also decided to connect this vast array of caves to the lower part of the dungeon. So in this way if the adventurer's managed to make it past all these caves and the monsters he put in them, they would then need to fight the dungeon boss before continuing.

He filled all the caves with low hanging trees, giant mushrooms, and vines. Filling up the rooms with monsters known as Myconids, which were a sort of mushroom people. Their only forms of attack were their firsts, and the spores they were able to release.

Lower level myconids were only able to release distress spores, but higher ones could release noxious spores to disorientate the enemy. He bought ten myconid spawners and placed them throughout the cave network. He then bought one Elder myconid spawner and placed it at one of the lower caves.

Although these elders would spawn at a lower rate because they were stronger, it was still a good investment though. In total this part of the dungeon, which Adrian named the Mushroom Kingdom, had cost him around 15000 DP.

Each spawner itself was around 1000 DP, and to place all the mushrooms and dig out the tunnels and caves that added up to the rest.

Species: Myconid

Skills: [Distress Spores]

Combat Power: ☆☆☆☆☆④

Species: Elder Myconid

Skills: [Distress Spores] [Noxious Spores]

Combat Power: ☆☆☆☆☆⑧

The Myconids were not very strong monsters, but Adrian was fine with that because he wanted the first floor of his dungeon to be noob friendly. The more adventurer's that came to his dungeon the better it was for him after all. They were not to be underestimated though, as when they called for backup an army of myconids could wipe out an adventurer party.

He placed a few chests inside of the Mushroom Kingdom and looked at the plants he had purchased and placed throughout the kingdom along with the regular mushrooms.

Species: Sleep Shroom

Skills: [Sleep Powder]

Combat Power: ☆☆☆☆☆③

Species: Poison Shroom

Skills: [Poison Powder]

Combat Power: ☆☆☆☆☆③

Species: Boom Shroom

Skills: [Explode]

Combat Power: ☆☆☆☆☆⑨

The poison and sleep shroom's were exactly as they sounded and when an enemy got too close they would release the powder at the enemy. Their powder was not very potent though, and most adventurer's carried antidotes to prevent this.

The Boom Shroom was much more deadly and it would violently explode when an enemy was too near causing a lot of damage. Boom Shrooms were a delicacy, and if one could kill them before they erupted nobles would buy them for high prices.

Myconid remains were also used very often inside of alchemist concoctions so their bodies were a good source of money for adventurer's. Adrian made sure that his dungeon would keep the adventurer's coming back.

He looked at his remaining 5000 odd DP and tried to think of what he could do with it. He decided to open up a room behind the Boss room, where he would continue the second floor of his dungeon.

He decided that he would continue this later, as his 5000 DP would not be enough to satisfy his needs for what he was planning. He went to the surface and spent the remaining 5000 DP in order to purchase an Inn from the DP shop.

The Inn was outfitted with 10 rooms, a dining room, and a kitchen. The rooms were empty for now, as the purchase only built the structure and not what would go inside of the building. He decided to wait until tomorrow to decorate the rooms because he would get around 10000 DP tomorrow from the flood dragon.

He also was not worried that the flood dragon would take the tunnel he built at the bottom of the lake and enter his dungeon because the tunnel was just too small. The flood dragon was at least 5 times the size of the tunnel he built in order to transfer the water.

Adrian then decided to move the dungeon core from inside of World into the dungeon, he knew Mara would be living on top of World, and he didn't want any mishaps to happen where she would find the dungeon core.

He placed the dungeon inside the roof of the dungeon boss room, quite hidden from view. Although this was not a great spot it was the best he could do in these circumstances. He had his strongest monster guarding it and if Raushan was killed then there wasn't much Adrian himself could do in order to stop the intruders.

He called over the goblins, and had them start building their own houses around the dungeon. So far they had all been sleeping in the open, including Adrian. But, because Adrian wanted to turn his dungeon into a town he decided it was time for them to all make their own houses.

As for Adrian? He would use DP to build a house later, he was still keen on living atop of World, Mara would just have to live at a lower spot than him.
