2 Chapter 2: Difference in strength.

"I help them too. This guy's got some serious footwork."

"No offense. Charret. We need to use our strategy and Darriel's in the middle of it, if the skeleton decides it could just kill him."

"I understand what you're saying, but I can't just stand here and watch."

"At this point, watching is probably the only thing that will find a way to keep Darriel from dying."

"Arrow hammer ready. Boss!"

"I'm ready too. Boss, tell us when to attack."

"You know the strategy...don't fail, Darriel's life depends on our speed and cooperation."

The skeleton watched the woman carrying a shield and then the one carrying the strange item with a thin rope. Brief moments passed and he ducked down, taking the sword from Darriel's immobile body.

"Damn. Look at that, it looks like this guy is serious..."

The skeleton looked at the blade of the sword. Checking it, inspecting every inch of it. Almost admiring its beauty, something in his head had slowly awakened. Making him feel stronger in that moment, a strange feeling.

"He is distracted. Serrat, now!"

Serrat heard the command, raised his shield in front of her and began to run, closing the distance between her and the skeleton with the intention of charging him with the shield.

Rier, at the moment of the shield's contact with the skeleton, fired his hammerhead arrow.

Serrat was suddenly stopped. When she hit the skeleton, this one stopped the shield with one hand and deflected the arrow that was flying towards his head using Darriel's sword.

The skeleton ripped the shield from Serrat's hands. The sudden movement to remove the shield left the poor girl defenseless, the skeleton then proceeded to kick her in the stomach, the force of the kick was so high that she went off, crashing into Rier and knocking them both out.

"Damn... What the hell is wrong with that thing... Now it's got a shield too."

Tremur and the other young man in the group, who was carrying daggers, watched two of his companions fall like flies before an enemy they were used to fighting every time they were found on the floors of the lower dungeon.

"I don't think it has any intention of killing anyone. Boss!"

Charret and the leader of the second team turned around at that moment. Watching Tremur, who had finished calming Luka.

"Mr. Charret. That skeleton attacked you guys out of nowhere...?"

Charret lowered his sword and realized the situation. The skeleton had never attacked them, it had only responded to Darriel's attack.

"I know this is going to sound stupid. Boss, but how about we drop our weapons on the ground and put our hands up..."

"Are you crazy, you dumb-ass?! That would mean we don't want to fight and that creature out there is a dungeon monster! They know nothing but fighting and killing!"

"He may be right... I think Tremur's idea is worth trying."

Charret said to the head of the second group. Then he threw his sword on the ground and raised his hands in the air.

"We don't want to fight. You're stronger. Just go and it'll be over. I apologize for my partner's recklessness too."

Charret said, addressing the skeleton which was now equipped with a sword and shield. This had dramatically increased the difficulty of the match and also the mortality of his opponent.

"Everybody. Drop your fucking weapons on the ground, now!"

Charret screamed. Not losing sight of the skeleton, staring into his eyes or where his eyes were supposed to be.

The young man with the knives, Tremur and the leader of the second squad, after a few moments, threw their weapons and any offensive equipment they had on them, raising their hands in the air. Proving they had no intention of fighting.

"Go. No one here will chase you, just go."

The basins of small blue flames from the skeleton watched everyone present and also those who were out on the floor, the silence became uncomfortable and heavy for the people in front of it, as no one knew what the skeleton would do next.

"Just go. Please."

Charret's voice finally seemed to have gotten somewhere. The skeleton slowly began to walk backwards. Slowly walking away, but not losing sight of his opponents, but it seemed that luck was not on his side and one of his feet stepped into a strange circle with bright scribbles. Making him disappear from everyone's sight.

"A teleportation trap...Gee, that's lucky."

Charret fell to the ground with trembling hands and Luka immediately ran to his brother to check his condition, Tremur on the other hand headed for his comrades out of combat.

"They're safe, just knocked out."

Luka had gone into shock again when she found her brother's true condition.

"...Darriel is also well, although I fear he may need time to recover..."

"What do you mean...Luka?"

Charret observed Luka's face. Noticing the fear in her eyes, once again.

Charret stood up and walked over to Darriel, discovering that his jaw had been broken.

"Damn it. Everybody grab your stuff. We're out of here!"

Charret lifted Darriel into his arms, starting to leave in the direction of the exit.

"Tremur. You take Serrat, I'll take Rier, we're leaving!"

"Immediately!"
