02 Bring Me Back To Earth

'What? Why is it so dark? What happened to me?' Hualing asked herself. She moved her hand to touch her face and yet...

'What? Why can't I move my hands? No. More like, there's no strength in it...?' Hualing felt her heart just dropped and her blood run cold as she remembered what had just transpired just a moment ago.

'Oh no. Did I collapse? Am I in the hospital? Sht!' Hualing cursed, feeling very upset and worried if she'll ever wake up from her coma.

'Did that old hag poisoned me without my knowing? When?' Hualing tried to rack her brains to remember all of the things that had happened from the first moment she heard someone calling her. 'Did that shtty old hag drag me into that dark and damp alleyway and had now put some anesthesia on me to chop my body into pieces and scatter my remains into different locations in order not to be identified?'

Hualing imagined herself going pale and faint. Well, she can only imagine this since she's basically in a coma with her brain the only thing that seemed to function still at this time.

She was so angry at the woman. Had she known that being called "pretty" was just a trick, she would not have turned around to stop and get herself into this dmn situation.

If she really could turn back time, she would really go back and beat the crap out of that old hag. Even if she got reported for raising her hand on the elderly, but she'd rather go to jail and still be alive than be killed by her.

Ah~! She really regretted it now.

'YOU FCKING BTCH. IF I'D WAKE UP FROM MY COMA, YOU'D BETTER BE SURE TO HIDE YOURSELF AND NOT LET ME FIND YOU! Because if I do, I swear I'll let you taste a torture more torturous than torture itself! You hear me?!' Hualing shouted loudly in her mind. She knew that this was useless and that no one would hear it but she can't help it.

The pent-up anger in her and the frustration was overwhelming her so much. If she did not let this all out, she might just explode.

As Hualing fell into a crying mess while cursing the old woman a thousand, no, a million times in her heart, she heard a chuckle that was not hers.

'This voice...' Hualing stopped crying automatically and searched in her mind's eyes of where this laugh came from.

'My, my. I did not know that you had such animosity over me. How can you be so ungrateful?' A light voice chuckled with a tinged of mischievousness in her tone.

Hualing roared. 'Why should I be grateful to you?! Was there someone sane enough to be thankful to the person that killed them? Or tried to kill them?'

The voice snickered.

'What? Why shouldn't you? Didn't you wish for this to happen? All I did was grant it. Hence, you should be grateful. So "you're welcome," Hualing.' The voice circled around her, travelling from her one ear to the other.

It was really annoying. Hualing felt like there was a mosquito flying around her and wanted to swat it with her hand.

'Fck you! When did I say something like that? Am I insane?!'

'Hey, that's not nice, you know. Gods also have feelings. However, since I'm a good person, I'll let you see for yourself what you did and said before.'

After saying that, Hualing felt like the dark curtains that covered her eyes were now suddenly been opened for her to welcome light. She had trouble opening her eyes. After a few moment, her eyes adjusted to the light and there, like a screen of a TV, a scene was played before her.

There she saw a woman with dull-looking eyes and a body that screams "tired of living", acting very nonchalant and bored in front of an old woman.

'What the hell?' Hualing thought to herself as she stared at the screen in front of her.

["Do you want to start anew? A life more fulfilling and fun?" The old woman asked.

The bored woman on the screen crossed her arms over her chest and answered the old woman with a straight face.

"Yes, I'm bored as fck. I just wish I'd drop dead right now and rid of this boring shtty life."]

'This...' Hualing looked at the woman on the screen she recognized as...her. She felt like she had just eaten a poop as her mind had just blown to pieces.

The voice came again and circled around Hualing with a bright laugh.

'See? Aren't I awesome and magnanimous? I'm a great god, aren't I? Hehehe.' The voice felt very pleased about herself. She felt that she had done her piece quite well and should receive praise.

If the other gods knew of what she did, she was sure that they would be thrilled about it and show respect to the great her.

The voice flew at a distance and looked at the trembling Hualing below her.

'Oh, Hualing. You really don't have to be so happy that you'll burst into tears. Your thanks is enough for me.'

"You..." Hualing started as her voice trembled at the same time as her body.

"Yes, yes. I know that you'll thank me. So you're welcome." The voice then manifested herself and went in front of Hualing with a bright and smug smile on her stunning face. Her heigth was only about five inches tall with a bright green hair adorned with dark green gems. Her dress was pink and flowing and on her back was green wings, almost transparent.

"...you!" Hualing was quick in her movement was she immediately grabbed the fairy in front of her with a murderous look on her face.

"Ah!" The fairy screamed out in alarm.

"You! Can't you tell that I was just messing around with you? That I was just joking?!" Hualing felt like she was about to explode in rage.

Hualing was so angry that she herself did not notice how she had grown some limbs and was able to grab ahold of the fairy. Also, she did not realize the strangeness that before her was a fairy, a real-life fairy.

"Eh? A joke?" The fairy tilted her head on the side, feeling somewhat at a loss. "Bu-but that was your wish. You said it yourself...so you should be thankful to me."

The fairy's eyes immediately turned red and in no time, tears flowed out of her eyes.

Hualing felt bad and also felt sorry about the little fairy in her hands. Wiht that, she let go of the crying fairy before hiding it behind her.

"Wake me up now." She demanded. This was after all a misunderstanding. So, it hasn't been that long since she had a coma so it's still fine, right?

She squinted her eyes at the fairy flying in front of her with a deep scowl on her face.

The fairy made an "oh" on her face before smiling guiltily while averting her eyes from Hualing's pressuring one's. "Ahaha. About that..."

Hualing looked at the tiny fairy in front of her and felt quite uneasy.

Here's chapter 2 part 1. I know it's short but there's nothing much I can do since it's already pretty late. However, I'll be posting the second part later.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading this.
