New Ore

Inside the Dimensional Rift,

Tyler was astounded by the situation of the Dimensional Rifts. The creatures were biologically evolved through the power of the sun and the sun actually appears at the night.

It was confusing as hell. And, he didn't understand why there was a red sky. Basically, the sky is the reflection of the light coming from the sun. So, if the sun is dark, why is it letting out red light?

Shouldn't it be black?

He was confused but not an idiot. He didn't think for too long knowing that it was none of his business. He followed Joseph. As they crossed the bridge, the guards standing in front of the gate stopped them.

"Band?" The guard asked.

Tyler raised his left hand through the robe and showed him the black band.

Looking at the band, the guard nodded and moved to the side. Tyler noticed that most of the people had kept their bands visible.

"Is it necessary to have this band?" Tyler asked as he walked inside the gate.

"Yeah! This is basically the identification that creatures inside the Dimensional Rifts can't copy. You have no idea just how horrific these creatures are."

"Gammas are just the lowest level creatures but they already gave us so much trouble. Just imagine how higher-level creatures would be. In one sense, they are just like humans, divided by their talents and supernatural abilities."

"Except, they are a hundred times scarier. If humans weren't good at things like Elemental Arts, then we would've been wiped out by now." Joseph replied.

"Man, this city is big." Just as he crossed the gate, he saw nearly hundreds of people walking just in front of him. This wasn't a city in the real world. It was just a city inside the Dimensional Rift that only a few people can enter.

Looking at the road that extent wide, he was surprised at just how many people could walk in a different lane.

Looking at his surprised expression, Joseph spoke.

"You thought there would fewer people in the city, right? When I first came here, I thought the same thing. But, the truth was different. There were more than a thousand people living in this city alone."

"And, on daily basis. Basically, when you enter the Dimensional Rift, you enter a different world where if you have the guts to stay, you own the land. Now, if we want to stay here for the night, we have to pay the rent for the room."

"And, those who stayed here earn that rent. It is a risky move but it is also worth it. But of course, just like in our world, there are people who control certain parts of the city and a person who controls the entire city."

"Let's go. I will go into detail as we move."

Tyler nodded his head as he followed Joseph toward the market. The market was just in front of them, in the middle of the city. There were four main roads connecting the center with four sides.

On the sides of the roads, there were several stalls and shops. Many people were buying and selling stuff around them.

"This area is governed by the City Lord. He imposes a certain amount of tax for each day so that he can earn enough money to keep the walls safe. After all, there were still creatures that can shoot from a far."

"We need those walls to stay tough for us to live in a little peace. Anyway, let's go find a weapon shop."

As they walked toward a shop with no board, they saw a little kid sitting on the counter. This kid didn't seem to be much older than ten years old. Seeing him, Tyler looked at Joseph with confusion.

"He is the son of the blacksmith. That man lived here for over a decade now. He built a house here. He built his shop here. He married here. He had a son here. His life is basically here."

Hearing his words, Tyler couldn't help but feel a little shocked. A kid without any power living in the most dangerous place. He couldn't even imagine how reckless the blacksmith is.

"Forger Ping, I need a blade." Joseph raised his hand as he shouted while walking inside the shop.

"It's you? You broke your weapon so soon?" The blacksmith was working on a sword at the side. He looked at Joseph with surprise and asked. He had seen him a day before yesterday so he could easily remember him.

"Yeah! I have been fighting for a while. Anyway, can I check the blades from there?" Joseph said as if he was already familiar with this place.

"It seems like you still want to go with a Rank One Weapon. Alright!" Saying so, the Blacksmith Ping started dipping his sword in a strange liquid.

Tyler couldn't help but stare at the liquid. When he noticed the color of the liquid, he stood there for a moment and asked.

"Why aren't you using Dexrot Ore? The Funglace Ore does have the property of fire and water but it doesn't give the weapon the durability it requires to support any kind of impact. The weapon will basically break in a few battles."

"Wait, is that why his blade broke so easily?"

Hearing his words, the blacksmith raised his head in surprise.

"It seems like you know few things about the blacksmith. But, you do not anything about Dimensional Rifts. You can't find Dexrot here. Without Dexrot, the weapons inside the Rifts are not durable like the weapons from outside."

"That being said, this is not a normal Funglace Ore. I see why you thought this would be just Funglace Ore because the color of the liquid is slowly changing from silver to red. But, there is one more element mixed with it."

"This element keeps the reaction similar while giving the weapon the durability it lacks. This ore is called Rutile. So, you are actually wrong. It's not that his weapon broke because it doesn't have Dexrot."

"Instead, his weapon broke even though it has Rutile. Now, you understand?"

Hearing his words, Tyler couldn't help but gulp.

Rutile!

One of the strongest and most durable ores that can be found in the world. He couldn't believe this man was using this ore for such a low-level weapon.

This was the ore that was only used for Rank Seven weapons or above. His eyes turned sharp as he asked.

"Wait, does that mean Dimensional Rift has a lot of Rutile?"

The blacksmith chuckled and asked.

"What do you think?"
