110 Getting Along - 34.2

After exiting the room, Fan Zhu Xia gave several instructions to Yi Ting Zhe who was waiting outside before letting him in to assist Wu Jun Qiao. On the other hand, Granny Fang who was also waiting for her outside invited her to have some tea first while she's taking a rest.

With a nod of agreement, Fan Zhu Xia was led away by Granny Fang to another part of the courtyard, followed by Chun Tao and two of her guard escorts.

Seeing her settled, Granny Fang asked, "Is there anything else The Princess needs?"

"None at the moment. Thank you for your care..."

"Not at all Princess! You have helped our Young Master wake up and giving him treatment... Just this tea and refreshments is far from being enough to express our thanks..."

"Ahh, you shouldn't worry about that. This Princess and your Young Master can be considered old acquaintances so this is a small matter..." Fan Zhu Xia replied with a small smile, remembering the first time she met Wu Jun Qiao. At that time, he was the mysterious and lofty person behind the Thousand Treasures Pavillion and then he became her benefactor when he protected her at the banquet but the man she just left inside the room just now also showed a playful, roguish side that she honestly didn't expect.

Sitting there, drinking tea while deep in thought, Fan Zhu Xia didn't realize how many expressions she's shown. Chun Tao who was attentively serving her and refilling her cup when it's empty or handing her small pastries that she knew she liked has never seen her look so lively.

Before, due to the series of events that happened since Fan Zhu Xia arrived at the capital, Chun Tao rarely saw her look this relaxed and considering the current circumstances, this definitely surprised Chun Tao but nonetheless made her happy for her young miss.

Ever since she started serving her, she had already observed that Fan Zhu Xia's demeanor is usually quite quiet and calm aside from those times where she would be particularly excited but when she looked back on it, she was like that because she had some things she would like to do that usually involved helping the interest of either Lei Palace or the Fan Family. 

Chun Tao did notice that she does act differently when she's around her family members. Around Lei Wangye, she's recently been letting loose after their talk and is now acting more like a spoiled little daughter held in her father's hand which also pleases Fan Hui Zhong to no end. With the Eldest Young Master, she's a bit childish at times and always finds it fun to tease Fan Li Jie, leaving him helpless which is contradictory to how she acts with the Third Young Master where she treats him casually like an old friend, almost the same way as how Fan Xian Liang treats Crown Prince; Jin Meng Yao, with a lot of understanding, patience and occasional mischief.

As for the Second Young Master, it's as if they're twins and they get along swimmingly and has really good understanding of how each other thinks. On top of that, the two also have the same, laid-back, indolent demeanors and practically have the same interests to the point that they became drinking buddies, much to everyone's chagrin.

To say who has it the easiest would probably be the rest of Fan Zhu Xia's elders, from her uncle, aunt and grandfather, she acts exactly like how a good junior should act, making them just shake their heads and smile.

As for Fan Shi Hong, ever since he was acknowledged as her little brother, Fan Zhu Xia doted on him endlessly and whenever he was free, she would either invite him over to have tea and relax or teach him some medical skills.

Despite seeing all this first-hand, this is still the first time Chun Tao has seen Fan Zhu Xia lost in thought to the point that she seemed dazed.

She wasn't like this before and nothing out of the ordinary happened so what could have made her act like this?

Thinking about it, the only thing that came to Chun Tao's mind was Wu Jun Qiao, making her wonder if he had anything to do with this.

Then as if a shocking thing came to mind, Chun Tao's eyes widened and on her usual calm and serene face, a ripple could be seen.

Could it be that spring has come for her young miss?

At this thought, Chun Tao couldn't help but glance at her young miss to observe her expression and one thing that she took a note of is that no matter what emotion flitted across her face, the gentle, happy smile on her lips didn't fade.

Oblivious to what her maid was thinking about, Fan Zhu Xia was indeed thinking about Wu Jun Qiao but not exactly in the way that Chun Tao thought.

So far, Fan Zhu Xia has seen three different sides of Wu Jun Qiao which of course piqued her interest and made her wonder what else he was hiding from her. It doesn't help that Wu Jun Qiao didn't seem to want to explain anything as of the moment but what made Fan Zhu Xia really curious was the feeling she gets whenever she's around him.

Obviously this is only the third time that they've encountered each other but Fan Zhu Xia couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity and closeness to him which inevitably made her feel completely baffled.

They were obviously strangers yet something was telling her that she can trust him and that he wouldn't do anything to harm her and it was because of this deep sense and strong feeling that was inherently ingrained in Fan Zhu Xia since she was a child that has always been accurate, making her feel comfortable enough to subconsciously let her guard down when she's around him and made her want to rely on him.

On the other side, aside from her feeling of reliance towards Wu Jun Qiao, she also felt extremely distressed when she heard of how bad his condition was.

This of course confused her to some extent but in the end, she decided to just let it go and go with the flow to see where this goes.

The moment she decided that, Fan Zhu Xia felt the rock in her heart drop and she felt lighter and unburdened from any messy thoughts, which of course led to her being more relaxed and carefree which led to Chun Tao's beautiful misunderstanding.

"Chun Tao, you look a bit off... Is something the matter?" Fan Zhu Xia asked the moment she lifted her head and saw her maid looking at her with a complicated expression.

"No, nothing at all Princess. This servant was just a bit worried about you so please don't push yourself too hard..."

Thinking that Chun Tao was concerned about her well-being, Fan Zhu Xia felt warm and reassured her.

"Don't worry about it. Despite giving treatment to Young Master Wu, I'm not really that tired... Most of the things I need has already been refined previously by me so all I had to do was monitor his body and help him adjust and utilize the medicinal efficacy to the fullest."

"Then this servant is rest assured... As long as The Princess doesn't force herself, it is good..."

Seeing her so serious made Fan Zhu Xia laugh lightly but before they can continue their conversation, Granny Fang had come back and informed them that Wu Jun Qiao has already finished taking the medicinal bath. A bit surprised, Fan Zhu Xia didn't realize how much time had passed so she just nodded in acknowledgement and let Chun Tao help clean her hands before following Granny Fang out and going back to see the effects of the medicinal bath on Wu Jun Qiao's body.
