The quests seem to be these two only by now but this randomly generated quest will give tasks in certain situations and have bigger rewards than the daily quests.

The next morning…

After a short check-up he was discharged. Everything that happened yesterday still holds true. After waking up, he checked it and the interface still showed up.

Status still remains the same since he did not do anything yesterday.

He was walking down the sidewalk since riding a taxi costs money. Throngs of people passed by him as he stands there giving the illusion that time seems to be working on those people but he remains stagnant.

The orphanage is two streets away from the hospital. Yesterday, he planned to buy some things from the mall but unfortunately the accident happened.

The dean said that he has some papers that needs his signature. According to the situation, it has something to do with him leaving the orphanage. Maybe, it's about his new home.

As he was having a monologue in his head, he arrived at the gate of the orphanage. The orphanage has two buildings in L shaped forming a rectangle with two gaps as gates, front gate and back gate. Front gate facing the street and the back gate facing the forest. A courtyard in the middle with grass lawns where children are allowed to play.

The orphanage dean's office in the first building. He needs to go there to sign some papers.

He knocked on the office door three times. "Good morning dean, I just got discharged from the hospital."

"Oh Alex! here you are, come on in."

Alex opened the door and saw the dean sitting in her chair handling some papers. The office is somewhat spacious with a sofa set and a coffee table at the center.

He sat at the sofa and looked around the office. There is a coffee machine at the right side of the dean's table and an aquarium opposite. It looked like an office of a CEO of a big company it's just that the dean doesn't have a secretary.

What do you expect from a government supported orphanage? It's like this because nobody wants to be a dean of an orphanage so the government decided to raise the salary of the staff specially the dean. Funds are also allocated and donation from private sectors. Because of this the orphanage can afford to build two buildings.

A job in the orphanage is a sought-after job right now but there are only few orphanages across the region.

"What did the doctor say after the discharged Alex?" The dean said while her head looking down busy.

"It was okay dean nothing serious."

The dean opened a drawer and picked a bunch of papers stapled. "These are the papers you need to sign to. It's about your transfer from the orphanage and your new home provided by the government. After you sign these, in the day of your birthday you will receive it immediately."

Alex signed the documents while saying," Thank you dean."

"Have you decided on what are you going to do after?"

"Uhm… Maybe find a job or something?" Alex said while pretending to read the papers.

"If that's what your plan is, I will support you." The dean said.

"Thank you, dean! For all these years taking care of me." Alex said with a fake smile.

The dean smiled hearing what she was waiting for, it was all superficial. The dean never had a sense of responsibility being the dean of the orphanage. You can see it on how the office is decorated reflects on her personality. She just left it to other staff taking care of the kids.

He got out from the office and walked to the courtyard. He stood there basking from the sun. The weather was clear and the sound of birds chirping brings the surrounding a sense of peace.

He saw the forest at the back of the orphanage through the gate, thinking.

Since he doesn't have much important to do today why don't he just complete one of the daily quests, the forest is near and convenient, it's full of natural aura.

Alex walked to the forest and found a random tree to sit on.

'INVENTORY'

He took out the cultivation manual and read it.

After reading and understanding the manual he immediately sat cross-legged and closed his eyes to meditate.

A few minutes later he felt a cool and comfortable current entering his body. He guided the qi to entering into the pathways said in the cultivation manual.

An hour later he finally refined the qi to his soul sea. He stopped meditating and leaned against the tree trunk exhausted.
