6 Joining the Air Force

It has been 37 years since the supposed death of Steve and Lucifer and Death was getting kind of bored with taking care of the bar and wanted a change. Lucifer then had an idea, he thought, 'Wait, isn't Captain Marvel going to happen 13 years from now? Why don't I just enter the Air Force with Death and start from there?'

When Lucifer suggest it to Death, it kind of piqued her interest so she decided to tag along with him to 'flying school'. When the two were in, the instructors found it ridiculous for them to be that genius and only want to enter the Air Force when they graduated for only 4 months.

Both of them learned everything in ground school in 1 month and started to apply it on the 4th month they entered! The techniques they showed far surpassed that of most newly appointed pilots and their knowledge about aircraft astounded them! They learned Air Law, Air General Knowledge, Flight Performance and Planning, Meteorology, Navigation, Operational Procedures, Principle of Flight, Radio Telephony, and Radio NAV Aids in that 1 month!

Most instructors fainted after seeing them perform everything almost perfectly that they thought they were studying those subjects for years and were already flying a plane just to prank them. When they looked at their database, they soon knew that all of it was real and that there were two monsters learning in their school.

The two of them were immediately promoted to O-3 and that made many people feel jealous. The two just graduated and they were already Captains! The world was unfair, those were the thoughts of the Lieutenants.

The two were still diligently studying and helping their peers in their combat capabilities and that caught the attention of the higher-ups. They could also be seen helping out in the medical and support groups stating that they wanted to have experience in that department when they are going to be Lieutenant Colonels.

Seeing their attitude towards the medical and support groups and their positive influence and the leadership they were showing towards their peers and subordinates, the generals promoted them straight to Lieutenant Colonels due to them acting like one already and already having the experience of one as they were helping out for 3 years.

Seeing both of them jump ranks, the subordinates and peers of the two were not jealous in the slightest but quite happy for them as they helped them in many of the things they had in their daily lives. What felt ironic to them was that their names were Lucifer and Death and that quite contradicted how they were acting.

The two then got promoted as Colonel in 2 years and started to command elements of a wing in the same wing. Lucifer was in charge of the operations group while Death was in charge of the medical group.

The two of them could be seen visiting the other's group frequently that it seemed that other was in charge of the other's group too. They could be seen visiting the maintenance and the mission support group too and they were quite knowledgeable in those areas it seems, due to them helping those groups out too.

After a year of being a Colonel, Lucifer and Death were suddenly promoted to being a Brigade General, and that shocked many of the people in the Air Force. After getting promoted, the two were then requested to meet with the President and that puzzled them. Lucifer just smiled charmingly at the beautiful lady officer who gave them the news while Death was thinking, 'Why does the President want with us? And if the President requests to meet you, you have no right to refuse.'

Giving Death a knowing look, Lucifer laughed at her as if he knew what she was thinking about. Lucifer just teasingly said, "Well it seems that Death has already caught up on how to speak modernly. You know that the two of us can refuse a meeting with him but just want to know what he wants with us."

Death then gave him a shocked look and said, "How did you know what I was thinking of?" Lucifer looked at her teasingly and said, "It was obvious due to your facial expressions." Death just chuckled and shook her head. She then proceeded to exit the door and walk towards the Fortifications and Lucifer teleported beside her.

When the two were walking towards the Fortifications, they met a Lieutenant General on the way and he led them to the Housing Facilities and stopped in front of one of the houses. He then left them and the two of them entered the house and saw the President inside with Peggy Carter. Both of them were surprised in seeing her with Ronald Reagan in the same room.

Death then walked over to Peggy and hugged her and after that the two then exchanged words. Lucifer looked at the sweating Ronald Reagan and smiled charmingly and said, "Hello Mister President, what do you need of us? And why are you sweating so much?"

President Ronald Reagan seemed even more nervous when Lucifer spoke and shakingly said, "Hello Brigade General Lucifer Morningstar and Brigade General Death Morningstar. Agent Peggy Carter just told of me of your existence just a few hours ago. That is why I didn't have the chance to greet beings such as yourselves when you first joined the Air Force."

Lucifer looked at Peggy Carter in a creepy way and said in the sweetest voice that he could, "Peggy dear, why did you tell President Reagan of our existence? Aren't you happy enough in spending time with our son in secrecy?"

At his words, Peggy seemed to sweat profusely and Death looked at her coldly and asked, "What does Lucifer mean when he said that you are spending time with our son in secrecy? And you Lucifer, if you already knew of this matter then why didn't you tell me?"

Peggy scrambled to gave her answers but seemed to couldn't make any coherent words, so Lucifer just looked at Death with an 'innocent look' and said, "Oh but honey, Steve seemed to like his secrecy so I just wanted to give him his privacy. And if he didn't want to show up in front of us then who am I to force him to?"

Death deadpanned at him and said, "His father." Lucifer lost his innocent look and cheerfully said, "But a good one at that! I gave him his wanted privacy, didn't I?"

Death rolled her eyes at him and looked at Peggy in a terrifying way and said in a cold voice, "And you! What is your excuse for this matter!? If I don't like the answer you're giving me then I will send you to Hell and then leaving you in my realm."

Lucifer widened his eyes and quickly said, "Don't you dare use me as a way to send her to Hell, Death! I don't want the demons thinking that I'm back as their Sovereign!"

Peggy was even more afraid now and nervously said, "Because Steve said that I shouldn't tell any of the two of you of this matter!! Please don't punish me!" Death narrowed her eyes and asked, "Are the two of you married? Do you have children?"

Peggy gave her a nervous nod and shakingly said, "We are and we have two children, a son, and a daughter."

After hearing her words, Death had a terrifying aura appearing behind her and angrily said, "AND HE DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL US OF OUR GRANDKIDS!?!?!?!? AND HE DIDN'T INVITE US TO YOUR MARRIAGE!?!?!??! AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

Peggy and President Reagan could be seen flying as Death released a suffocating pressure while Lucifer just looked at them flying and laughed. Hearing the laugh, Death looked at him and said in a deathly voice, "And you knew of this!?"

Lucifer looked back at her and held his hands up lazily and said, "I just knew that they were going to get married and that they were going to have children but didn't know WHEN. So I just let them be." Death then angrily turned away from him and looked at Peggy and said, "I'm still not done with you."

She then walked towards the scared President and stopped in front of him and said, "What are we here for? I have some important matters to discuss with younger Mrs. Morningstar over there."

President Ronald Reagan gulped a mouthful of saliva and practically screamed the words, "I'm just here to tell both of you that you are now 4-star generals! Your uniforms will be in your room in an hour! It was nice meeting you!" He then ran away in fright.

Lucifer laughed at the fleeing President and looked at the women who were now talking to each other. It seems that they were starting to ignore him so Lucifer just made a bed, a pillow, and a blanket. He then crawled on the bed and promptly fell asleep.
