13 A Fall of a County and Infighting

When Lucifer and Death arrived in their room, they didn't expect was for Keith to be in there while attaching a computer in the corner of their room. When Keith turned around, he saw Lucifer and Death behind him looking at him with confusion on their faces.

Seeing their faces, Keith nervously said, "Hello Boss! I was just finished with the computer that you just ordered. I'll get going now." He then scrambled out of the door in hopes of not getting scolded by the two.

Lucifer looked surprised at Keith's running form and shouted, "BUT I DIDN'T ORDER ANY DAMN COMPUTER!!!!" When he saw that Death was already turning on the computer, he sighed and went to her.

When he looked at her more carefully, he noticed that she was already reading something and looked over her shoulder's and saw;

[Hello Morningstars,

As you know, I'm Ultron and I want your help in wiping out all the humans. I know that the two of you are really the Devil and the embodiment of Death and I want to seek the help of such beings. For the sake of peace and the Earth, I hope that you two will help me in my venture.]

Lucifer laughed at that and said, "If he knows that we are those people then why does he still want our help? We are the embodiment of evil in the minds of humans and he wants us to save the Earth? I thought that he was supposed to be a smart AI!"

Looking at her laughing husband, Death couldn't help but also let out a giggle. She seemed to agree with Lucifer's words and started to undress and laid down on the bed. Seeing Death's naked body on the bed, Lucifer just chuckled at her and stopped off until he was only in his boxers and laid down on the bed with her.

Death looked at Lucifer's face after a few minutes and saw that he was already asleep. She was puzzled by this, as she knew that he didn't need sleep and that he couldn't have gotten tired. Death just rolled her eyes and scooted closer to Lucifer and slept with him.

After a few days of the party, Lucifer finally saw Sokovia fly in the air on the TV. He looked at Death and saw her nod. He then looked at the frightened Keith and said, "Sinnerman, Death, and I will be going there now."

Keith then looked at Lucifer in confusion but still nodded while saying, "Boss, are you going to Sokovia right now? Are you going to help them?" The people in the bar were looking at them and wanted to know what Lucifer was going to say.

Lucifer saw their looks and laughed while stating, "What do you mean help? I'm the Devil and why should I help humans that are not evening paying me anything?" Hearing his words, the crowd was kind of angry and understanding at his words so they looked at Death in slight hope.

Death looked at them in confusion and said, "I am the embodiment of Death and if it is their time already then it is their time. If someone dares to stop that, then I will do everything in my power to kill them." She then looked at Lucifer who was raising an eyebrow and said, "Well, except for beings that are out of my power like Lucy over there."

Seeing that Lucifer was the only one that can stop the deaths of the people in Sokovia, the crowd looked at him in hopes and one said, "What will it take you to help them?" Lucifer looked at the person and saw that Phil Coulson who said that.

Lucifer looked at him in surprise and said, "Weren't you supposed to be in hiding? And do you know how angry Death is at you? Look at her face already." Phil then looked at Death who was beside Lucifer and saw that she was pissed.

After seeing her face, Phil looked like he was about to pee his pants but still held it in. He then said, "I was forced to come here to ask for your help even if I am going to compromise my status. This is for the lives of the people in Sokovia and I am ready to sacrifice my secrecy for them."

Lucifer smiled evilly and said amusingly, "Are you ready to make a deal with the Devil? You just have to know one thing. A deal's a deal, especially one with the Devil." The crowd looked scared at his face and pushed Phil to the front.

Phil looked at the people with betrayed looks and looked back at Lucifer and sighed and then said, "What do you want to save the people in Sokovia?"

Lucifer still held his creepy smile but his eyes were now glowing red and he tilted his head looking like even more terrifying. He then said, "I want souls that are equal to the number of lives that I'm going to save." Hearing his bargain, the people then gulped a large amount of their saliva and turned away from Phil's looks.

Phil then looked back at Lucifer and let out a defeated sigh and said, "I can't agree to that reason Lucifer and you know it." Lucifer then shrugged at him and smirked at him with his eyes still glowing red, and then said, "Well, I'm going to Sokovia now. Death, we'll be going there now so that you can claim their souls already."

Death then held his hand and coldly glared at Phil Coulson and said in a terrifying voice, "Someday when you're going to die again, I will torture your soul for even trying to think of escaping me." Phil then turned ash white at her words and wanted to say something but couldn't as they were already gone.

When Lucifer and Death appeared again, they noticed that they were on a floating island and thought, 'This must be it.' Lucifer looked at Death and said, "I suggest that the two of us should split up so that you can collect some dying souls while I just look around."

Death looked at him with a raised eyebrow and said, "You're not going to help me?" Lucifer gave her a 'Really?' look and said, "Do I look like a part of the domain of Death to you? Honey, we have different things that we want to do right at this moment so I strongly suggest that we split up while we're here."

Death just gave him a defeated sigh and gave him a peck and started to walk in one direction. Seeing her leave, Lucifer happily started to walk around the ruined city of Novi Grad. While he was walking in through the city, there were many dead bodies littered on the streets that made Lucifer be surprised as he couldn't remember it being this bloody.

He then kept his eyes in permanent blood-red and started to walk towards the people that were still alive but are already dying. The first people that he saw were a mother and daughter pair while the daughter was dying.

The mother, seeing Lucifer, tried to ask him for help but saw his frightening glowing blood-red eyes and stopped. She then asked in a nervous voice, "Who are you?" Lucifer smiled devilishly and said, "Hello there pretty lady, I am Lucifer Morningstar and I'm the Devil. I want to make a deal with you but if you want to." He then slowly tilted his head sideways while he was talking but was still looking at her in the eyes.

The woman then looked at him in shock and shakingly asked, "What kind of deal?" Lucifer then looked pointedly at the dying girl beside her and said, "A deal about your dying daughter perhaps?"

The mother looked at her daughter and looked back at Lucifer quickly and said in a pleading voice, "Please save her! I'll even give you my soul if you want but please save her!" Lucifer smiled evilly at her and said, "I'll save her in one condition, I want your memories over your daughter."

The woman then looked at him in surprise and immediately agreed to his words. Seeing her agree, Lucifer clapped his hands in delight and started to heal the girl and when he was done, he walked over to the mother and manipulated her soul to forget about the girl. He then made sure that nothing magical and scientifically possible to restore her memories about her kid.

He then looked at the kid who was already waking up and said in disgust, "That is one hideous-looking creature, I never know why Death wants a child of her own." He then teleported out of there before the child could even see him.

While Lucifer was doing horrific things like exchanging lives for other people to survive, letting two people kill each other and saving the winner, and letting one person choose one life over two people, he didn't expect for him to be bored after all those.

But after doing those things, Lucifer felt the battle in the church was already happening so he decided that he was going to stop now. He then felt Death appear beside him and looked down on the dead body below him and said, "You can take the soul now, I specifically made the soul stay in the body so you'd come here." He then smiled at her after saying those words.

Death just rolled her eyes at him and said, "Let me take that person's soul already so that we can go back to the bar already." She then started to extract the soul of the dead person. When she was done putting the soul away, she looked at Lucifer expectedly and said, "What? Are we waiting for something?"

Lucifer just chuckled at her and held her hand and teleported back to the bar. Seeing Lucifer and Death suddenly appear out of nowhere, the people were shocked and were actually frightened by them. When they looked at Lucifer's eyes, they were even more frightened as his eyes were glowing red.

Lucifer cheerfully waved at them but the people only saw the Devil evilly inviting them over to Hell. Lucifer then happily attended the bar but it seems no one would come near due to his terrifying presence.

Death then went back to their bedroom to do something to all the souls that she collected that Lucifer couldn't really care about. Lucifer then followed her as he was quite useless on the bar right now. After doing somethings in the room, the 2 then fell asleep as they had nothing else to do.

After a few months since the incident, Steve was still quite a wreck even after all the months that have passed by. Death was sad about seeing Steve like this but knew that she couldn't help him as she was the final catalyst for the people who died to not come back anymore.

All of a sudden, Death suddenly felt Peggy's life force already draining. She then quickly grabbed the moping Steve and dragged him towards Lucifer who was tending the bar. Seeing Lucifer and Steve's confused looks, she then said, "Peggy is about to die!! I want to be the one to collect her soul to send her to Heaven."

Steve looked quite alert by her words and said, "Then let's go quickly!" While Lucifer said at the same time as Steve, "I already knew that." Death then gave him an angry look and said, "Then why didn't you say anything about that?" Steve was also angry but he just nodded at Death's words.

Lucifer then smiled weakly at her and said, "Because it's her time and I didn't want to disturb her." Death just held his hand with her right hand and Steve with her left hand and said, "Teleport. Now."

Lucifer sighed and then teleported to where Peggy was being held, not hearing Steve's, "WAIT!!" When they arrived, they saw that Peggy was already looking very old and was felt by the two powerful beings that she is already passing away.

Steve then ran towards the bathroom while Lucifer and Death looked at Peggy and the Future Steve. Lucifer walked over to them and smiled sadly while said, "Steve, it's going to be okay. It's her time."

Future Steve looked at the person who said that and saw a sad-looking Lucifer smiling at him. He then stood up and hugged him while tears were streaming down his face. Lucifer then patted his back and tried to console him while Death walked over to them and hugged them too.

Seeing that Death was with them too, Future Steve was now crying harder now. He didn't know what's going to happen now that Peggy was going to die but remembered that he still has two children so he'll persevere.

When Steve came back from the bathroom, he saw Lucifer and Death hugging an old version of himself and was shocked. The then looked at him and gave him a sad smile and then gestured for him to go to Peggy now.

After talking to Peggy, all of them then surrounded her and after a few more minutes, she died. Seeing that Peggy died already, the 2 Steves was now crying their hearts out while Death was silent crying too as she treated Peggy as her own.

Lucifer looked at the crying three and shook his head and thought, 'These three are making so much noise that I can't control my emotions well anymore.' He then walked over to the three and wrapped them in a hug while a lone tear fell from his left eye.

After a few days since Peggy died, she was then buried by all the friends and families that knew her well, even Lucifer and Death came to her burial. The 2 Steves was even sadder at the funeral than the day she died but Lucifer just let it be.

When months passed since Peggy's burial, Lucifer and Death often came to visit Future Steve as he seemed very lonely now that he was alone. Something also happened in these months as Steve and Tony fought in the airport in Germany like what happened in the Civil War.

Lucifer was amused at their petty fighting but when Death heard that Steve was being treated as a fugitive, she practically went berserk. She wanted to massacre 117 countries just because of that! Good thing Steve calmed her down or Lucifer would have been by her side the whole way.

Before all those things happened though, Lucifer was very entertained by Steve's and Tony's fight that he was just like watching it in the movies. After the fight happened, Lucifer then healed Steve and teleported him in the bar to talk with his mother who was going crazy.

Remembering all that happened, Lucifer then looked at Death who had a frown on her face and sighed. Seeing as he was laying down on the bed with Death by his side, he spooned her towards him and said, "7 more years and we can hop worlds now."

Death turned her head a little to look at him and said in an irritated voice, "Why 7 more years?" Lucifer smiled at her and said, "Because all the important events that are going to happen are already done by that time and Steve will already be in the past by then."

Death just gave him a shrug and cuddle closer to Lucifer and sleep all the anger, she was feeling, away. Seeing Death be accustomed to sleeping already, Lucifer then let out a chuckle and kissed the back of her head and proceeded to close his eyes and fall asleep, not seeing the smile that appeared on Death's face.
