18 CH 18

The team had made it to the finals and it was time for the game. Jace was starting pitcher.

Jace quickly struck out the first 3 on 9 pitches. Giving his team a huge morale boost.

Out of the first 3 at bat two got on base with singles. Caleb hit a tripple making the game 2 to 0.

Theo Hit a single and Joe hit a double. Jace had to take 3 balls before hitting a tripple making the game 4 to 0.

The next batter struck out the 8th batter hit a grounder that popped off the glove of the pitcher for an error allowing Jace to take home.

The 9th batter hit a fly out to right field.

Jace once again struck out 3 with 9 pitches. This made the other team go completely quiet. Jaces team and fans on the other hand was going wild.

Batter 1 2 and 3 for Jaces team sadly all got out. Giving the other team a small boost.

It was short lived as the next 3 batters all hit pop flys to the infield.

Caleb and Theo both got on with singles. Joe's hit a deep sac fly advancing them both. Jace hit a home run on the 5th pitch making it a 8 to 0 ball game.

No more runs were scored till the bottom of the 5th when Theo hit a tripple earning 2 RBIs to finish the game. Jace once again had another perfect game making it a total of 13 for him this season. His final stats were 61 strike outs 0 ERA 25 wins and 17 saves.

Once the 2 teams shool hands the reporters tried to find Jace but him his brother and his 2 friends were already in the locker room showering amd getting dressed.

The 4 boys all got into Steve and Janines SUV and drove to a restaurant and met Joe's and Caleb parents.

They all sat down and ordered their food and drinks while waiting on the rest of the team.

They had started leaving like this after all 4 got bombarded by reporters after the 7th game of the play offs.

Once the rest of the team showed up it got loud. They had one state with a called game making them ecstatic to say the least.

During the meal a bunch of seniors said there farewells to the team Leaving only he 4 friends and the right fielder as starters.

The coach informed the team that tomorrow they had to come to the field for pictures and that they would get there ring and trophies the following friday. They voted on MVP of the team and season witch went to Jace.

When Jace and Theo got home Aaron and Sylvia both game them a big hug and lead them to the loving room were both had several of gifts waiting on them.

Theo got a yet to be released Xbox scarlett and PS5 along with some games from his parents. Aaron and Sylvia gave him an authentic Atlanta braves Jersey.

For Jace he finally got his metal tooth pick again and a while bag of them at that. He also got some throwing knives and a katana.

He got the same gift from Aaron and Sylvia that Theo got.

While Theo was hooking up his new consoles Steve pulled Jace to the side and gave him an extra gift.

It was a soft sword that looked like a belt that. Steve told Jace he might need it soon since his last job was high profile. Jace nodded and the. asked him of he could get him some knives that were concealable.

Steve nodded and informed him that all his gifts were authentic Japanese folded steel and completely sharpened just in case.
