6 Owner Huo

A muscular man was walking on the busy street, his large hands in his stretchy pockets. He was wearing an extravagant blue suit that brought a lot of attention from curious eyes, and he pleasantly smiled back at them with his upturned eyes. In fact, he always seeked for attention, wanting to bask in the center light.

The man was called "Owner Huo". He was the owner of a few small businesses, including a nail salon, a restaurant, and an insurance company. He usually left his businesses and their respective managers alone to run by themselves, and this turned out well for Owner Huo. He liked to party hard at night clubs and go to the gym at day, but he also checked on his businesses somewhat regularly.

Entering a flashy karaoke bar, Owner Huo greeted the cashier who clumsily stood up in surprise.

"Owner Huo! Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" The girl wiped the sweat on her forehead, having almost been caught using her phone on the job. When she wasn't handling customers, she was suppose to clean up and do some basic accounting.

"I can't come? Are you the owner here or am I?" Owner Huo sternly lashed out with an annoyed tone.

The girl felt suddenly pressured and afraid. She twitched a little, not knowing what to say.

"Just kidding. I'm just messing with you," Owner Huo let out a jubilant laugh. "I'll be going to the back."

"Yes!" The girl was quickly relieved and gave him the key for the breakdown hurriedly. 'Owner Huo is too much!'

Not knowing the receptionist's thoughts, Owner Huo made his way over happily step by step. He slowly passed by each room, checking if his customers were doing well.

Actually, Owner Huo came to the bar, not for a check-up, but to find his lost credit card. He remembered leaving it by the coffee machine the day before. He passed a total of 3 empty rooms, and found it odd. For the prospect of new customers, he noted some things down.

'Need a security guard, 4 employees a shift is not enough. Furniture not looking so good, need to revamp the place.' Owner Huo mentally accounted for profit and cost, and started to find faults. 'I'll tell the employees I'll check a random day's security cameras each month to check on their performance.'

Owner Huo actually did catch the cashier using her latest phone in the act, but decided not to make things awkward. Instead, he found the employees' faults as his own faults, and always tried to correct them with new rules and etc. However, he knew when an employee should be fired. That was why Owner Huo was considered one of the best bosses of small businesses in China.

This was the first karaoke bar he ran and small at that too. So he thought the old furniture from the old karaoke place would be enough. However, looking at everything, he found the place looking like crap and old-fashioned as well. It wasn't a wonder the seller sold the property for so cheap. However, this was an easily fixable problem, so Owner Huo didn't really need to worry too much.
