The ceremony passed quickly. Roman was correct, Katie barely had to do anything except stand silently by his side. Perhaps he'd paid off the priest, or maybe he really did have this kind of power in the area, but no one seemed surprised or dismayed when the bride said nothing during her wedding ceremony.
