182 Interlude: Elsewhere

As they neared Ocean Tower, Satrox's watch started beeping very rapidly and very loudly. Satrox took it, with an apologetic look at Lynn. "Major Emergency. Sorry."

"Everyone! We're under attack!" Geoffrey's voice roared. "The Cult of Gaia used their admin rights to locate us! Our Headquarters is..."

There was a loud explosion... and then silence.

"Uhoh." Satrox grimaced. "This can't be good."

"What does it mean? We have to move the HQ?" Alicia asked.

"Worse. It means the Gaians know where we are. Where we all are." Satrox glanced from her to Colin. Then he glanced up. "I don't see a massive fleet dropping in from orbit, so I assume that means they haven't quite figured out how to locate individuals, but it sounds to me like they've accessed Guild controls. That means every one of us in the Order of Justice can consider ourselves tagged and tracked."

Red notices popped up in front of Satrox and Alicia. Alicia grinned. "It looks like we're off the hook."

"What?" Colin blinked.

"The J-Knights have been disbanded." Satrox sighed. "The Order of Justice no longer exists as a Guild. I'm guessing the other Orders too. It's the only way to keep them from finding us. We're going to have to organize a Resistance the hard way."

"A Resistance?" Alicia blinked. "Why?"

"Because the war's over, Alicia." Satrox told her grimly. "We lost."
