San and Concordia had both been honing their skills in XCalibur AOP 2. Neither was willing to disclose their full Skillset the other and were unaware of the progress the other had made for though they were Friends in the Real World, they hadn't forgotten that as far as XCalibur AOP 2's Virtual World was concerned, they were still Rivals. All they needed to feel out the other's potential was the right provocation and the right setting.
THE NIGHTBANE RESIDENCE; DAWN OF MONDAY…
Zan came running down the Stairs with Ayumi.
"It seems a Nightmare has infiltrated the Real World and it doesn't seem to be under the Nightmare King's Jurisdiction" Zan said as he activated the Dreamworld's Stealth Zone Shift Protocol which made Conflict Zones with Nightmares completely invisible to ordinary folk.
"San, it appears you have an appointment with Concordia. I just have one hint for you. The Basics Of Lion Turtle Monkey Martial Arts; He Who Guards His Mouth Guards His Stomach. Keiran, your hint is this…He Who Guards His Stomach Guards His House" Ayumi said as she activated her Sigils and leapt into the Stealth Zone Shift Protocol.
The two disappeared.
"I guess that means Keiran's gotta stay home. I'll head out with Concordia and do some Field Work" San said and wore his Crimson Cape beneath his usual clothes to make it easy for him to transition into his Combat Gear if an unexpected conflict were to confront him.
"A Nightmare that attacks the Digestive System huh? If the Senses are the Portals To The Soul…then this must be a Perception Manipulating Type Of Nightmare" San said as he dashed out of the House.
Just at that moment, Concordia had also just left her home and was heading towards the Rendezvous Point.
AT THE MARKETPLACE…
As San was charging down the Street, he felt a Sharp Wind Pressure descending diagonally towards him. He sidesteps and hits what appears to be a Steel Arrow by tapping the tuft of its Tail Feathers with the base of his Palm. This shifts the Force and Trajectory Of The Arrow causing it to bounce straight upwards while rotating sharply like a Pinwheel. While the Arrow is in Midair San smirks and calls out.
"SEAL OF ENDREGEN…SEAL OF KOLMNID…UNLOCK! ACTIVATE REALITY ZONE SHIFT PROTOCOL!" In that instant, the surroundings around the Marketplace change into a Forest Zone.
The Seal Of Endregen projects a stream of Waves heading towards the Source of The Attack.
"DREAMWEAVER NIGHTBANE VER SPEAR WIELDER!" San calls as he grabs the arrow and spins it around his Shoulder Blades to nullify the Spin Of The Attacker's Snipe while channeling his own Spin into what was formally an Arrow.
The Force channeled into the Arrow causes it to transform into a Spear which San hurls towards the Attacker.
A Shadow leaps from a tree unto the Ground and Crouches causing the Spear to fly overhead and crash into the bark of a tree. The Attacker gets off without a Scratch but the Spear Strikes through the Tree and remains there.
"ANTLION FIST! LONGINUS SPEAR PROTOCOL!" San calls out and stares at the attacker.
The attacker stands up without saying a word and motions to San to attack.
"If it's a fight you want…a fight you'll get…I just hope you keep time!" San says and crouches generating a Force Of Tension beneath his feet that flows through the entire ground.
This force is projected in his sight as a Wave Rippling through the Ground and heating the nearby surroundings creating the impression of an expanding Bubble Of Tension.
San breathes in deeply and sighs releasing the tension all at once causing him to tear through his surroundings at incredible speed.
The attacker immediately sidesteps before San can ram them with the Force Of His Weight and release all the Tension he has accumulated. The attacker deflects San's attack and alters his direction slightly while preparing to counterattack but just as their bodies overlap…San removes a 'Chain Scythe' or 'Kusari Gama' made of highly flexible String and ties it around the Masked Assailant's Fist bonding the Two Together as San propels past the Masked Assailant hoping to pull the Assailant clean off their Feet.
"ENERGY NULLIFICATION JUTSU; CONSOLIDATION OF MASS!" the Mysterious Assailant calls out as he stacks all the Energy Acting On His Body and converts that to Mass.
This drastically boosts their Weight without altering their Sizes. The result is that the Space Surrounding them appears to Warp in response to the Mass the Assailant has Stacked Up on their Body and San's immense Energy. The Flexible String in San's hand does not snap but readjusts to the Massive Pressure and gradually diminishes San's Vertigo giving him enough time to correct the error in his judgement and correct his position in relation to the assailant. San tenses his grip on the String and begins to accumulate extra tension; the assailant sees what is coming but is powerless to immediately relinquish their stacked up Mass making San much swifter. In an instant, he unsheaths one of his Mother Ayumi's Scimitars and slashes through the assailant as the pullback of the tensed string acts as a homing beacon and the Assailant's Mass becomes their own Target Marker.
"SPRING TENSOR KUSARI GAMA; SEAL OF KOLMNID VER NERIAH MODE 2; RE-TENSION COUNTER! NIGHTBANE WOLF ART; ASSASSINATOR OF THE ASSASSIN!"
San calls as the Assassin's Blood spills the Words unto the Force Projecting Screen. San returns to his base stance in 'Crouching Lion Mode'. He stands, spins his Mother's Scimitar Twice and Sheaths it.
"In a Battle Between Body and Spirit…Spirit always wins!" San says as a bell rings with the words K.O!
The Screen fades away.
