Chapter Three: Welcome Party

Upon arriving by his house, he grabbed his things by the doorway, unlocked the door and placed his things on the sofa. Without hesitation, he "activated" Camo Protocol, also known as "to hide the presence of his house and himself within a given amount of time" plan.

With Von all alone in the woods, it's not that rare to have some unwanted visitors. He devised this plan in able to secure his one and only property and as well to protect himself from possible threats. At first, it was only rabid/untamed animals that invaded his property, but this time, it was a possible threat from his own kin.

For him to have the ability to hide his house, he also devised a makeshift camo-netting that was made from leaves, branches and some clear strings to bind them together. It was already proven that his invention was effective against wild animals. But this time, it was already time to test it's reliability.

Von hurriedly laid out the covers, cleared his own footprints outside and finally awaited for the visitors. He was also dressed in a "special suit" to disguise himself in case his camo didn't work. To finalize his camo, he wore his Japanese fox mask that he got from a loot box.

He stared out of a small peeping hole right beside the wall that he carved out for him to be able to peek outside without using the windows.

It was already 6 in the evening, the light is slowly fading away. This was a huge advantage for Von. The crowd that was heading for his house is slowly closing in. He could already hear multiple foot steps and a light chatter. Alas, they were already there without noticing the fact that it was a dead end from the path that they have taken.

"Oh shit, this is a dead end. What now?" asked one of them.

"But, I was a hundred percent sure that he took this path! I even checked his address from the registration form that he passed on his enrollment." answered the person of what seems to be their informant,

"This is impossible. Let's search for some openings." declared one of them.

The crowd started searching around the vicinity. This alerted Von as his cover is sure to be blown away the moment they feel the doorknob that was well hidden and covered by leaves. Thus, he went unto his position.

They went on and on, time wasn't an issue. They were so persistent that they called more accomplices to help search for Von's house. It seems like it was quite effective for Von to use his own invention, until a student felt something hard against the pile of leaves that was placed right in front of leaves. It was already dark outside but the crowd brought flashlights. Alas, they found a door, not something you would normally find inside a forest on top of a mountain. It was like a pirate booty hunt, the crowd didn't anticipated this kind of thing so they argued who should go inside first.

"Wait, someone go check it out."

"How bout' no?"

"Screw your chitchats, stop being a little bitch go first."

"God, fine. I'll go in myself. Let a girl go first inside a suspicious place."

"Ladies first?"

"Fuck you, go stick your finger up your ass or something."

With the lack of balls among the boys, one of the girls volunteered herself to go inside first. It was their final decision.

The girl opened the door while holding a handheld lamp so it was quite difficult to jolt out the door. Of course it was, Von did locked the doorknob before placing himself into his position after all.

"You know what? Fuck this door." she said as she pricked the knob with a rock.

That time, she managed to open the door with sheer force and a primitive tool. As soon as she opened the door, she could already feel something that was staring hard back at her. She hesitated to go inside because of the feeling of fear against death.

(In reality, Von was just staring at her from the dark corner of the living room. He was just waiting for her to go step inside and shut the door by pulling a narrow string that was connected to the door hinges. Again, it was his prideful "invention".)

The girl stepped inside and looked around whilst pointing the lamp. Inside, she discovered something that what she thought was an ancient house that belonged to a hermit or a lone man. As soon as she turned her head against the wall, she noticed some pictures of Von that was hung with medals and as well as his older belts. It was organized from the lowest rank, white belt, until his recent belt, the 2-striped black belt. This caught the girl's attention, especially when she saw Von's pictures.

"What the hell? This is Von! I must tell them that this is the pla-" the girl was cut off when something grabbed her from behind. The door was shut off by someone from the inside. The remaining boys and girls outside the house panicked and started to struggle to open the door from the outside. It was a useless move. They tried to shout the girl's name to check if she could still hear them but someone appeared right in front of them. It was a black figure or some sort.

The boys tried to confront the figure but they were taken down by a clean sweep from below, causing their legs to bend over and collapse to the ground. That move immobilized the boys that tried to confront the thing. The remaining girls panicked and started to shout and ran away from the house. But they were caught by an improvised net trap.

They all passed out for some reason. For Von, it was a good thing because it would make things a little bit easier. He tied them up in a single row to interrogate them one by one. He placed a chair in the middle of the line to seat on while he ask questions. The first one to be interrogated were the boys. Von tapped their heads one by one to wake them up.

"Rise and shine sleepy heads. First things first, I'ma say all the words inside my head, I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been, oh ooh. Geddit? Well, jokes aside, who are you people?" Von asked the boys with an intimidating look, even though he was smirking the whole time beneath his mask.

"What the hell! Dude let us go!" said one of the boys with a small physique.

"No can do, sir. Tell me your names first before I let you all go with a big smile on your faces." Von replied.

"Fuck off! You should let us go or else!"

"Or else what? Come on dude, make these things more easier. Just give me your name."

"Oh you can't crack Alucard that easy bro." said one of the boys with a gorilla-like physique.

"Brenly you fucking nuthead! You just told him my name!" said Alucard angrily.

"So did you, fleastock! You just told him my name too!" said Brenly to Alucard.

"Oh god, could you please stop, the both of you knuckleheads? Since you gave out your name, then I would give mine too. My name is Lanz, now let us all go." said one of the boys with a rather charming look among the three of them.

Von was just sitting there, staring at them like a total idiot. He almost lost it when they revealed each other's identity by accident. He was wearing a mask so it didn't matter.

"Well then, who sent you guys and gals here?" Von continued the interrogation.

"No, tell us where is Fleur is first." said Alucard.

"Don't worry, she's in a safe place. I guarantee you that."

"We came here in our own accord. We figured that our new classmate would be here so we tried to follow him from the start." said Lanz.

"Is that it?"

"Yes." Alucard answered as he was trying to lean on Brenly to rest.

"But earlier, I heard that you were bringing in some "toys" to start up the party. Mind telling me that?" Von followed up with a question.

"Those were just welcoming gifts that we were gonna give to our new classmate." Lanz answered.

Von pointed at the girls that were sleeping on a layer of leaves Von himself arranged to make them comfortable. "Tell me their names." he asked.

"Starting from the one that entered the door was Fleur, our classroom's "princess". Next is Avie, the "problematic" child. Then there's Margaux, our "girl on fire". Finally, Gael." answered Lanz.

"Wait, tell me more about Gael." asked Von.

"Anyways, could you untie us now, sir?" Lanz dodged the recent question without hesitation.

"Hm, let me think about it." Von answered as he sat on his chair, staring back to the students.

"Hey! You told us you woul-" Alucard got cut off midway of his complain. Turns out Von decided to scare him a bit by striking a faint kick next to Alucard's head.

"As far as I am concerned, I'm in charge here." Von threateningly told Alucard.

Von stood up to his seat to continue his interrogation. As he was about to walk back to his seat, Lanz asked him. "I was willing to ask you, who the hell are you again? Are you a demon or some entity?"

Von stopped midway, turned back to them and said, "I'm someone you shouldn't had given the cold shoulder this morning."

The trio stared back to the unknown black figure that they were talking to for the last 20 minutes. The three of them shouted "Von?!" at the same time in response from the fact that their new classmate took them all down and got interrogated by him without realizing it the whole time.

Von removed his mask to reveal his face. When he removed the mask, the trio confirmed that it was really him.
