2 First exploration
Rune quickly scanned the broken street for any convenience stores. luckily there seemed to be a small store just a bit down the road. quickly moving forward Rune headed towards the store only for what appears to be a 4 ft half dragon half gargoyle looking creature run towards him.
Rune instinctively swings his right hand up closely followed by his left as a scythe formes itself into existence from metallic black particles. The swing rips into the monster's front right leg tipping it off balance as it lets out a small roar. Spinning the scythe Rune slams the blade through the monster's skull.
System pop-up 'Congratulations on being the first to kill a monster +3 attribute points, this monster is called a salamander and can use fire-based attacks'.
~I best check the salamander corpse for anything useful~ A quick check reveals a slightly cracked red orb that emits a faint heat.
With another quick sprint, Rune reaches the shop. Only to find the inside destroyed, ripped apart as if a monster had got angry looking for prey. Luckily a few shelves are intact and there is a sparse amount of littered items, just as he picks up a bottle of alcohol from the dilapidated shelf it explodes in a flash of green and red suffused light.

"Fuck, what am I going to eat then" Rune kicked a shelf causing a can to fall off and roll towards the store's exit hitting the doorway.
"I'll grab whatever doesn't explode and quickly warn whoever will listen" After managing to find a backpack stuffed behind the counter Rune loads the bag with a few bottles of water, paper, a med-kit, a flint & steel and a waterproof pen and leather gift journal.
As he leaves the store he stands in awe of a giant destroyed leaning tower only to realize that's where he just woke up. ~I guess I should get back and see if everyone's still panicking.~
