That old man says some decent things occasionally. But when he said it then. He dismissed it as Lila being another person his parents wanted him involved with. However, once he met her, he understood. It's not like that. This girl already has her beloved; even his parents wouldn't be cruel enough to match him with someone who already has someone. She isn't just a partner for convenience either, so what purpose does this girl have?

But, this is probably one of those things that will be solved sooner or later. After all, Lila signed a contract with their company, so Lila is signed on as an official composer for RAY. When Mikami saw that he was surprised. Isn't this girl here to expand her dreams? Why is she wasting time on them? At first, he thought this, but seeing her attitude towards senpai, he's seeing something different now.

A few hours later.

Watching the two has become somewhat of a game to him now. Since witnessing how close they are to each other just a few hours prior.

"Mmmghhh…I want you to come with me."

"S—senpai, go! I'm not needed in the meeting."Lila was struggling to break free from senpai's hold.

"I know."Haruka murmured quietly. His tone changed to a quiet one and Lila-chan, upon noticing, also stopped struggling.

She pulled out a lunchbox from her bag and placed it in senpai's hands.

"Senpai, um…"

"For me again? Then, I'll treat you tonight."

"Yes, I am looking forward to it."

With those words said, senpai leaves, which left him with Lila.

"Dating yet?" Mikami asked but already knows the answer.

He wanted to see her reaction.

Mikami expected her to get embarrassed. But instead Lila wore a somewhat distance and neutral expression on her face. He supposes it's still too soon for anything to happen.

"Hamano-kun, Hamano-kun. Actually," Lila whispered in his ear, his eyes go wide.

"Meet Kiryu-san?"Mikami repeated, surprised.

"Yes."

Well, well. That was fast.

No, the fact they held back from meeting for almost a month is already amazing enough.

It's true that someone gave them the task to look after her. But someone else gave them other instructions. Lila-chan is lucky that he's the one she told first. He's sure that Kouta would stick to the duty assigned to him. However, he's different; he made a promise with Shichiro. 'If, by any chance, they get to meet. Don't stop them; help cover for her.'

Even though because of the events that happened in the past, their friendship can't return to what it was. Mikami will still uphold his promise.

The moment Lila approached the meeting room, she heard it. The small space made it possible. The moment she opened the door, the sound of heavy breathing by the two occupants inside the room echoed through the corridor. Sounds of a woman and a man as their bodies collided against each other.

Lila almost dropped the documents in her hands, but she kept her balance. Her whole face turned red. R—right, he said it was urgent. When Haruka has sex with someone, his voice becomes more masculine than usual; it makes her feel embarrassed.

Taking a deep breath, Lila slipped inside the room. Sure enough, the sight before her was exactly what she heard from the outside. Lila averted her gaze desperately. She must get his attention.

Just as she thought that Haruka looked up and his eyes meet hers, Haruka bends down and whispered something in the girl's ear, before getting changed quickly. He walked over to her and brushed his hand against her face, briefly caressing her cheeks before he pulled away.

"Let's go."

"Okay…" Lila said meekly.

Lila quickly followed him; thoughts were drifting. It's normal. Even though she reprimanded him, she understood full well that it's normal for him and most people too. She understood it, but maybe it's because she does, that she feels bad. Why does she feel bad? She doesn't …understand. But, it's painful.

"… What's wrong?" Haruka must have sensed her unease since he wore a somewhat worried look on his face.

He really is a kind person, others just can't see it.

"Senpai, do you have to see other girls?" Lila asked him directly.

"You don't like it?"

"….…"

He must have taken her silence as disapproval since a slight sigh escaped his lips.

"It's for your sake; you'll get bullied if I don't."

She gets that. But, she's uncomfortable. They aren't dating, so these thoughts are selfish. She can't tell Haruka these words, because he may get the wrong idea. She doesn't want him to misunderstand. Lila suddenly felt the warmth of his hand on hers, and she looked up.

"Senpai?" Lila said, confused.

"Let's go to a hotel."

U hotel (Room, 670)

"What? Yeah, yeah."

"Un…. senpai?" Lila mumbled.

He ended his phone call and pushed her back down on the bed. He murmured some seductive words in English in her ear, before taking her lips in his again, her whole face reddened. Is he serious? Or isn't he? Even though — even though, --- oh no, her mind is going fuzzy again. This always happens whenever they kiss.

This person's kisses are rougher and more passionate. Whenever they kiss, he's sending the message that he wanted to own her. To own her. She felt his fingers lift her shirt, and she panicked.

"Wa—wait, "Lila exclaimed. They can't.

"Calm down; I won't do anything other than this," Haruka assured her.

He won't?

Haruka never asked her to trust him. Even though those are the words, one would typically use in this situation. He's never once used them with her. It's like, there is something, preventing him from doing so. 'Senpai has done more dangerous things than you think. It's fine okay to fall in love with him, but remember to keep your distance.'

Hamano-kun made it sound like it's certain she would fall in love with him. But, in the first place. What is love? She's only ever fallen in love with Kiryu. She doesn't know if it's possible to love someone else, and she still loves Kiryu too.

Can a person fall in love with someone else despite already being in a stable relationship with another person?

That is surely impossible.

But, Lila can't say so for sure.

Feelings are not that simple.

What's more, right now, is she even in a relationship?
