5 Adventurer Registration

When I looked into the mirror I was paralyzed. Only after Pan came back and asked something – which I couldn't really hear – did I come back to reality. I probably looked at Pan with a horrified face.

"What's wrong?" Pan asked.

"Why do I look like this?!" I almost shouted

"Probably because you were born like this, right?"

"No, I was born totally different!!!"

I didn't have the mental energy to continue with this topic. Then I dropped down right before the mirror and just stared at it.

(She now sat in a "W")

Pan didn't know what to do, so she just asked the attendant to prepare the registration papers for me.

After a long while, I made my decision.

'I may look different, but I'm still the same person. But I will find a way to get back! I won't let something like this bring me down.'

I stood up, firm resolve on my face.

"Pan get me the registration papers please."

"Already finished…", came back, and Pan gave me the almost completely filled papers. "Great that you got up again. After all, you resembled a person that just lost his meaning in life."

"Yeah sorry, won't happen again. I promise!"

I concentrated on the document.

Pan already filled the recommendation part and her names.

"What are these testing specifics?"

"These are the tests that you will have for the information that you don't know. Like your class and skills. Most people that come here know them already, but you don't. So you have to test them. On the other hand, the stats will be tested on everyone. So you see, if they don't ask what needs to be tested they could waste a whole lot of time."

"Oh ok. And when is this recruit test?"

"When you have time." Pan laughed. "You want to do it now?"

"Yeah, why not?" I nodded.

We went to the counter and signed up for today's test. These are happening every day thrice.

The next one would be in about one hour.

"Looks like we have to wait a little more", Pan said rejected.

"Can we go to the examination room already?" I asked the woman at the counter.

The woman smiled at me and pointed in a direction. I looked, there was a door.

I locked eyes with Pan and she nodded. We walked into the room.

There were a few people already inside. Most of them were male, big and bulky.

I really thought there would at least be a few women, but together with Pan and I, there were only two more.

When we entered, all of them looked at us. It seemed like Pan was known to most, so they changed their viewing direction to me. Great!

Pan ignored them and searched for free seats. When she found two, Pan took my hand and pulled me there.

We sat down. Not long later, one of the biggest men in the room came to us.

"Hey, we've seen each other in the forest near the city once. Do you still remember me?"

After I heard him talk, I was speechless. He did mean Pan, I am new in this world. But does he really think such a sentence could work?!

"Yeah, of course, I remember you..."

I really underestimated you, Pan!!! I trusted you!!!

"You're that jerk that r**** my sister!"

Ok, you did not hear my thoughts. I take back everything.

"What!? Who's your sister. I didn't try to r*** anybody?" He was obviously confused.

"Oh, then that was someone else." Pan is incredible.

"It's not good to spread false rumors. Even if it was not intended." I tried to smooth out the underlying tone of this dialogue.

They both stared at me. OMG, what did I do wrong this time!?
