6 chapter six: Jenny

Clara Snow

Clara woke up in her bed. How did she get here. She sat up and saw Aaron asleep. He stayed with her. But then the door bell ring. Oh crap she forgot her publisher Jenny was coming today.

She got up and look down at her clothes. She had dry blood on her. She went into the closet and grabbed a pair of white shorts and a blue shirt. She changed in her room. Like Aaron was asleep so he can't see her without clothes.

But she was wrong. He come up behind her and whispered"what a beautiful body you have. I would like to take you now. But I can't time can wait sweetheart. She turned around and looked at him and said"Then take me,I'm all yours." She placed her lips on his and kissed him. He pulled her closer to him. Then deepen the kiss. He started to take her bra off.

But then the door bell rings. He pushed her away and disappeared.

She quickly put her clothes on and went to the door and open it.

She smiled and said"Morning Jenny. Wanna see what I got done with my book. I have like three more chapters to go and my new business to work on."

Jenny nodded and hand her a coffee and said"let's get started."

Hour later they finished half the book when the door bell rings. All they had that day was coffee. So Clara got up and walked to the door. She opened it up and saw Aaron holding food to her and said"Clara I feel you haven't eat anything today. So I brought you Chinese food. I also got your friend one."

She smiled and said" Thanks Aaron. But we were about to be done. With half the book edited."

He walked in and frown said"Clara please I'm just being nice. And I want to make sure you Ok."

Clara said"I'm fine Aaron, no one coming to get me. I'll be fine. Just stay by. But not here. I need to work on this book. I need to get my mind off that."

She said"good bye Aaron."she closed the door and locked her door. She brought the food and sat down and said"So my friend brought us food. Well they work with me at my club. maybe we should take a break and eat something."

She sat down the Chinese food and gave Jenny her food. Clara started to eat. When Jenny said"so who the hot guy that brought us food?"

That guy is my CO owner. He some big kind of business owner. He wanted to bring my books alive but remaking the place where Susanna and Eric meet at. so I agree about it."

Jenny smiled and said"man he is hot. I would love to date him. But I think he likes you. By the way he looks at you."

Clara said" I can't date anyone right now. I'm not ready for a relationship. Remember my ex husband died. I'm not ready."

Jenny nodded and said"I understand. But you took all the pictures of your ex husband down. And your not wearing the wedding ring. "

Clara sign and said"I couldn't take the pain away if had all of it up. I do have two pictures left of him. He in the writing office and at the club in my office. The ring in my room right now."

Jenny nodded and said"alright. We should go back to work."

They finished the book by one am in the morning. Clara had walked with Jenny to her car. She said"stay safe. And don't lose my book." They hugged and then Clara waved goodbye to Jenny.

Clara walked back inside. She had to go to bed. But first she would take a long hot shower. Once she got back inside Aaron was their. She screamed since she bumped right into him. He said"Hey it's me. Don't be scared. It's me. I won't hurt you."

Clara said"don't do that again. Just show up out of nowhere. " she past by him when he said"you had a husband that died?"

That made her stop and turned around and said" don't want to talk about. Why hell are you listening to my conversation about my life!"She walked off slamming her door and locking it. She was piss off that he listen to her conversation about her ex husband.

She pulled out her wedding ring and looked at it. She hold him at the door signing. He said"I'm sorry. I had to make sure you are safe. After your brother kidnap you."

She was crying on her bed, but then she said"I never lock my door."She was crying. When he sat down on the bed and pulled her to him. She said"I remember the day that my husband died. I was in the car too. But somehow I wasn't in the car when it hit the water."

he choke out a cry and he hold her close. He said"sh.. it's fine.. I can wait for you for a long time. Just take your time."

Clara hold onto him. She cried herself to sleep. Her husband was died and she wasn't. Why does this happen to her. Her life was perfect. She had a perfect wedding and perfect husband who cared for her writing. Now she famous for her writing. But what if she doesn't want that anymore. she waits something new. Something old and something perfect.
