GENESIS

So this first chapter is going to be more of an orientation around the novel. Thanks for taking a peek.

"Since the reformation wars, man has witnessed the formation of the Council, discovery of the fossils, coming of the lycans, attacks from the Order and other things and I believe we might also get to remember today." A man who was dressed in a white coat probably a scientist was talking to six members of the Council practically five, one was just a bodyguard. Just as he was talking to the Council another man dressed in a lab coat came in with panic written over his face "Lok hurry up you need to see this quick, its Duncan he is...". Just as he was stil explaining they all heard a beastly groan and the shattering of glass then they heard humans shrieking in fear and inhumane cries, they all decided to run in the direction of the sounds heading to the testing area, only thay what they saw made them dread. "Holy crap, what the hell happened here!" Those were the only words Lok managed to get out of his mouth, it was a bloody scene with guts and intestines spilled everywhere and there was a hole in the wall that continued till the end of the facility more blood probably from guards spilled everywhere along the hole'his path. "What beast could have done this?" Newt asked. "No, no, no, I thought we had fixed this." Lok said frustrated. "Fixed what?" Newt asked. Just as they were there, a siren went off and they heard the sound of bullets from a distance. "Well, I can't believe they have the guts to even come here." Mike the Head General said. "Well they have." Baron added.

After the reformation wars as it has always been there was a need for those who guide and lead others, so the strongest organisations decided to come together and create the Council. It comprised of the greatest organisations and families that led Earth under one banner but they could also make individual families.

The Military - Man decided to create one army to monitor the whole Earth inorder to avoid unnecessary wars that once had destroyed it. Led by Mike the Head General.

Asquith family - A powerful family due to the money that they had, they funded most of the projects going around Earth. Led by Jennedine.

Gray family - The weapon makers in the lot, they even made the special suits that could be used in any condition. Led by Lucas.

Scavengers - Formally a gang. Led by Newt.

Green family - Before the war, as other rich guys invested in oil, tech and trekking space, these ones invested in food. Efforts finally paid off after the war when they were the only mass producers of almost all kinds of food and even made the food pill, a pill that contained all nutrients needed by an adult daily and could even supress hunger. Led by Baron.

It was noon when the sun was blazing hot and construction workers were digging away at the soil, they found a problem with some parts of the soil where no matter what they did they couldn't break that particular piece, they thought it was a boulder and they decided to drill it but to no avail. Then they decided to dig around it but to their suprise it was never what they thought it was, it was like a skull of some beast and a large one but it gave off a faint glow. They immediately contacted the police which in turn called the military and they excavated them, that's how the Seaside Labs came to be built. Many other fossils with the same glow were found around the world and were taken to the labs but they discovered that in the skulls or some other parts of the fossils there was a crystal of some sort. Later they were discovered to have energy in them and they started on efforts of creating superhuman soldiers, along the way they created lycans and abominations and they were still in efforts of coming up with the perfect solution. Lycans were taken by the military because they had superior abilities compared to your normal human that depended on the type of beast that the lycan was made from. After taking the fossils and cystals to the labs, they would be crushed and mixed then turned into a liquid, the liquids varied in colour according to the beast and their appearances during their lifetime. They always moved about in the storage glasses like they had a life in them. Some liquids contained a black liquid in them that they later found out to be the cause of the abominations. Abominations were once animals or people that were used as lab rats but after injecting them with the infected liquid their skins became pale, their hair started falling off leaving only patches and their eyes turned pure black then they lay their like empty vessels void of any life and only giving blank stares like they were waiting for orders from someone even when called by their names. But this particular day they were moving around killing guards, "Please don't kill me." A guard had fallen down and was now crawling backwards facing the infected dogs that were snarling at him while inching forward, they all charged in at once what was heard next were screams. "Aaaaaaaah." And that was the end of the poor guard. Just then a man who had a large scar across his face and was putting on black from head to toe stepped through the hole at the edge of the facility and looked at the blood that had splattered across the walls and body parts all over the place but instead of expressing disgust and fear he just gave a sinister laugh and shouted with his head up. "Yes my babies, continue with the great job." This was Orlick, leader of the Order. He gave off one last sinister laugh before heading to the control room while humming a tune and kicking the dead bodies he found along the way.

Meanwhile Lok had gone to look for his son Roman who was also working at the facility as an intern. He got into a room that was filled with glasses that contained huge glasses that contained the liquids and as usual they were moving about. "Dad over here." His son called to him in a low tone. "Oh my son, how..." Just as he was walking to his son while speaking those words a soldier of the Order shot him in the back, he expressed shock, he hadn't finished his experiments, why would this punk cut his life short. Roman ran to him shouting " Daaaad." That's when explosions went off and one of the huge glasses hit him while he was on the ground in a pool of blood and it broke in the process. Wierd as it may sound, the liquid started seeping inside of him through his skin pores. And on this day, new beings different from what was ever known were created.

Explosions and the voice of his son calling him were what Lok could remember before he woke up in this seemingly endless dark space void of anything, he could not see anything apart from the darkness that shrouded his body, he then remembered he was shot and he tried checking himself but he could feel nothing, "What happened to me, am I dead, is this the limbo, oh no so it was real and I wasn't a believer?" He started to dread. "No, this is your consciousness chicken, I even wonder how you are still alive with all this power in you." Lok turned around only to see that a transparent purple dragon was the one talking to him. "Who? no what are you monster, please don't kill me I have a son." He stammered while stepping back eventually falling on his butt out of fear. "Hahaha, you humans are surely the same even after all these years, you have a son so what, do you have how many fathers l killed and if I were to add you it would only be like a drop in the ocean." As it said those words it transformed into a human, it was a very handsome young man who looked to be in his late twenties with overflowing purple hair that reached his waist, Lok was sure he would make a good lab rat out of him becaise of his good physique. "Maybe now you will understand me better." The dragon man told him. "Based on your memories you use fellow humans as lab rats, right?" "Yes" He replied hurriedly not wanting to become the dinner of this beast. "I like your honesty, you see down there." The dragon man told him, he looked downand saw a huge ball that was churning against itself with two energies that looked like they were fighting to to have control of the other. "What's that?" Lok asked out of curiosity. That is our life force, mana, the purple one is mine and the yellow one is yours. They are constantly fighting to take control over the body but I lived a fulfilling life and I saw the unwilling look you gave death so am going to give you my power because you are not a bad person." The dragon man told him. "But before we conclude this, I would like to know your name." Lok requested. "Hahaha your bringing back those sweet memories child, I was called many names during my time but the one I loved the most was The Bane of Men, and to correct you we are not concluding this, we are just starting it." He didn't give room for other questions before turning into a dragon again and flew towards Lok, Lok started running but it was too late as the dragon knocked him and he lost his consciousness, almost immediately the mana started merging.

"Roman." Lok woke up shouting his son's name. "Roman? I am not Roman, I am Lloyd."
