6 The World Eater, the dragon

The World Eater saw the mage and realized he was not aware of him. He decided then he would take him and have a private talk. He swooped down quickly and gracefully scooping Loki up into his mouth before Loki was aware of his presence.

"Damnit!"exclaimed Loki he was furious at himself for being taken unaware. He knew that he was fortunate that it was Nidhog who took him but it was of little comfort. His mood didn't improve when the dark, moist, hot environment started shaking Nidhog was amused with himself. Loki pulled out some Bianca and sprayed it in the giant maw. Shortly after that Loki was spit out on top of mountain.

"Agghh, NIDHOG! It was bad enough being in your mouth, you could have just opened your mouth and let me out." He said.

"No fun in that trickster." Nidhog said.

Loki gave the dragon a quelling look while summoning a towel to clean himself up.

"Now Loki lets have a chat about my daughter." Nidhog said

"Which one?" Loki said with a sly smile.

Nidhog lowered his head pinning Loki to the mountain side and flaring his nostrils smoke rising from both "The one you and Odin cursed into your damn games!" Nidhog said with unconcealed threat of violence behind his words.

"I don't want her a part of these damn games either!" Loki growled back also with unconcealed threat of violence behind his words.

Nidhog released him and sighed, "I know that damn Odin is to blame. I haven't been able to shift into a human for an eternity now. Why did the game change are we close to the end?"

"Very close. However, Odin became bored with the same setting and wanted to add a twist. He has become obsessed with the Mid-guardians again. He is also still punishing Thor for having an affair with one of my Mid-guard descendants." Loki answered. "How secure is this location?" Loki asked

"This is in a world where Odin has no sway or abilities to spy he has no power here." Nidhog said.

Loki arched a brow at that, "No spies how can you be sure of that?"

Nidhog laughed, "There is a spell that lets me and my other dragon kin know if his spies are here and then we eat them."

Loki's sly smile returned "That would work I suppose."

"What are you holding back Loki?" Nidhog asked.

"We are very close to the games being over but nothing was ever said what will happen to the loser. Only if I win I get my family and our freedom back, if Odin wins he rules all the worlds. I still haven't pieced together how my losing will solve that for him. I don't know what will happen to me or to him when one of us losses. I don't think that Odin was originally worried about losing but now I believe he is. I know it is a bad thing when he becomes worried. This could be the worst of games we play and I am afraid of what will happen." Loki confessed.

Nidhog took a claw and scratched his head. "Hmm, I will consult with the witches and see if we can learn anything or if perhaps now we can do something. Be ready Loki if the willy old bastard feels cornered he will be more dangerous than a shaken viper in a ruck sack. I will drop you into the collided world now. Loki take care of my daughter. I don't like the way Thor's boy looks at her and if I were to eat him I am sure I would get indigestion as well as the Thunder to come looking for me."

Loki had a good laugh at that.

True to his word Nidhog flew him back to the newly formed world he circled high above where his one true love was being held, his Sigyn. She was cursed to not remember her life with him in any world. He hoped that because this time two worlds had been forced into each other to create a new one while each still remained that the curse might be broken. Nidhog told Loki all that had happened in his absence. Then he flew him away and dropped him to the world below. Loki watched Nidhog leave heading back to his world. Loki knew that Nidhog would do most anything to save his daughter and her children. He knew too that of all his children Sigyn looked and reminded Nidhog the most of his wife. Sigyn was their last child she was special to all of them as she marked an ending and a new beginning. Nidhog would be ruthless in his search for answers because he knew that Loki's losing could mean something worse than what Sigyn had gone through so far. Then there was to consider if Odin were to lose... Well to say Odin was a sore loser that was a sever understatement. Nidhog, Loki knew was very concerned for his daughter's life.
